I LOVE this place. Ive been eating here since I was a kid but moved away to LA about 15 years ago. I had to come back to Indy for some family stuff and couldn't wait to order M&B's! Its literally my favorite pizza of all time, You cant find this tavern style pizza out west ANYWHERE! (trust me ive looked). I decided to stay in a hotel near by specifically so I could order from here, Its exactly as i remember it, AMAZING. read more

Fantastic pizza. Ordered a delivery and got a small Mars Hill Monster since i saw it being recommended and seemed to be a local special. When i saw the size i got a little worried but wow, it was jam packed with toppings and flavor. Absolutely great, will order again next time I'm in town read more

I will give them a 2 only because their pizza was good! but a small is like a personal size the taco pizza was 17! tiny ass pizza and they don't have medium sizes! prices are ridiculous for how much you get 32.00 for 2 smalls! that are like the size of a personal lol they should feel embarrassed! read more

We had lunch at Mickey & Bills. My wife grew up in Mars Hill in the 50's through the 60's and has patronized for years however, the pizza we had today was very seriously OVER PRICED for what amounted to a small 8" tortilla for a crust and canned Italian flavored tomato paste, frozen hamburger warmed up and 8/10 pieces of pepperoni and a bit of mozzarella cheese. In all seriousness, there wasn't Five $5 worth of ingredients in two pizzas, an over priced Costco bottled water and bottle of tea that was a brand I've never heard of. She was disappointed because of her memories of how good it was in the 60's did not match how bad this restaurant has fallen. The website makes it look like they have a huge dining room but there was seating for 10 persons...that's it. The staff were very nice but as far as food and price, we honestly think we were screwed over. We won't be back and wouldn't suggest Mickey & Bill's to anyone. Just no good. read more

While traveling along Kentucky Avenue, I saw the sign for Mickey & Bill's Pizza, so I slowed to turn and go over the railroad tracks to get to this small shop. They have a small lot along the building and the entrance is on the northeast side. As I entered into the lobby where the order counter was, I noticed a very small dining room to my left and a few chairs to sit at if I needed to wait. I was greeted and the woman behind the counter was very patient and helpful in describing the ingredients in the uniquely named pizzas. (Note that they have flyers off to the left side of the counter which I hadn't seen when entering.) The less specific menu is listed overhead behind the counter. I hadn't called ahead, but since it wasn't a busy time, they were able to make my small pizza in about 15 minutes. I got one called "The Works" which had 8 party cut pieces and is similar to Supreme pizzas elsewhere: crumbled sausage, mushroom, green pepper, onions, pepperoni, and two kinds of cheese on a thin crust. While waiting, I noticed they also have wings and breadsticks, salads, and some sandwiches to choose from. They also have an option called "Take & Bake Pizza" that you get your pizza freshly made but finish baking it at home. And I recommend grabbing a flyer since they have a list of discounts available on larger orders. And the pizza? Well, my wife and I like a crisp bottom crust so this was very enjoyable. The ingredients were also piled high with just enough sauce and cheese to balance the flavor. The firm crust allowed the ingredients to stay on the pizza without falling off. That's a plus for me. (Not so much for my dog.) I don't know if I like pizza (any pizza) enough to drive out of my way for, but if you are commuting along Kentucky Avenue or live in the area, I suggest you will enjoy your food from here. Please, please do not eat here. Breadsticks, no flavor and hard as a brick. Pizza, store bought frozen pizza crust. Rubbery cheese. Disgusting. Tasted like cardboard. We spent $60 here and regret everything. I cannot believe people are recommending this place and giving them 4 and 5 stars. Frozen pizza from the grocery would surpass this. I would rather eat a little Caesars hot and ready sitting out for 8 hours before eating this. Just don't. It all went in the trash. We cried when we opened the box and saw what had arrived. When it arrived. We had to call and see if they were ever going to arrive. read more

How am I just now reviewing this place! I've eaten here since I was a wee one and I still try to get it any time I'm on this side of town. You don't feel "meh" about Mickey & Bills - you love it or hate it. I love it! The cardboard crust is still flavorful and never sags or slips, so your pile of toppings stay put. The cheese is quality and the sauce is perfectly tangy. Their prices have risen over the years, but they have a pizza happy hour and they are a staple of the neighborhood. Step inside and you can see pictures of the local sports teams they've sponsored and other community memorabilia. read more

The taco pizza was awesome. We tried it as a recommendation from someone else. It was over an inch thick and weighed a lot. Tons of ingredients and very tasty. The only thing I would change is the taco sauce they give you to put on the pizza. So if you have a favorite salsa, use it instead of the packets they provide you you will be glad you did. read more

I have always loved Mickey and Bills. However, the quality has gone down over the years. It is obvious that they started using frozen crust. Tonight, I just paid $17 on a SMALL Taco pizza., I was expecting the usual, but tonight I noticed that there is a new crust. I swear on all that is holy, the crust is the size of tortilla. Size AND thickness. Seriously...a burrito sized tortilla. It was so thin that it could barely hold the toppings. It was more like a flat soft taco than it was a taco pizza. I was so disappointed. I am thinking about just driving the extra few miles to a Jack's pizza and not coming back to Mickey and Bills...even after being a loyal customer for 35 years. read more

I can't believe that this hasn't been reviewed yet. An Indy fixture, they have been doing something right since the early 60s. The pizza is in a class by itself, because it really isn't like others. You'll find out when you try it, and be pleasantly surprised. I usually carry out, but there is a small dining room. I usually can't get out of the parking lot without eating a slice though. Succulent. I understand everything else there is great too. Seem to sell a lot of ribs. Enjoy! read more

Ordered a Mars hill monster. Asked for peppers olives and pineapple to only be on half of the pizza. We have the receipt to prove what we ordered. It was rang up correctly. We called to complain. They told us it was our fault they messed up. We told them we had the receipt. Again we were told it was our fault. They hung up on us. Lost our business. Their pizza is good when it's right. Customer service skills are poor at best. Lost a customer for life. Never again will they get a penny from us. We also waited an hour and a half. Saturday night. I get that. Just get it right or make it right when it's wrong. read more

I called this place at 8:45 last night. I was watching game seven of the World Series and wanted a taco pizza. The phone rang and then someone picked up and said "Mickey and Bill's, please hold" and then placed me on hold. I waited on hold a few minutes and then someone picked up and said "We're not taking orders anymore" and hung up on me! During both interactions I wasn't even given the opportunity to reply before they hung up the receiver. I called back to ask WTF and apparently they had decided they were going to close early to watch the World Series. Then they ended up hanging up on me again. I totally understand wanting to watch the game, but this was just terrible customer service. read more

There is a secret to Mickey & Bills. It's 'Order lots of toppings and make sure one of them is sausage'. The pizza only becomes good when it's covered in a ridiculous layer of toppings. The crust is thin the sauce is basic. I do love the crumbly almost chorizo like textured sausage. (It's not spicy like chorizo, just small little crumbly bits). It comes square cut and like most things is improved with beer (which they don't serve). I'd rather have Mickey & Bills than pizza from the big chains, part of that's just me waving my finger at The Man. ;-) read more

We ordered a medium half cheese, half sausage pizza after our airport shuttle driver recommended this place. We got a large and were charged for it. Honestly, the pizza was awful. The cheese, sauce, and crust were flavorless. The sausage gave some flavor, but it was cheap sausage with lots of filler. The pizza is not baked as a pizza should be. The cheese was barely melted and the crust was like white bread. We paid thirty dollars once we added a tip. It was like school cafeteria pizza, but it needed a good helping of salt before we realized that. read more

***WARNING***'DO NOT GO HERE! unless you want to waste your time and/or money Wish I could give 0 stars. Ordered our carry out X-large Mars Hill Monster pizza and 6 pc barbeque chicken wings at 6:31 pm, was told 30 minutes, arrived at 7:00 pm. NO food. Said they were waiting on wings?? There were people who came in after us and left before us with pizza and wings?? An our to cook 6 wings? Waited until 7:28 pm and walked out very disappointing, as this was our first and last time (only takes once) to try them. Too many other competitors. Surprised they've been in business 50 years but you know the saying when a business has to advertise and send coupons. This is one of the best places to get pizza on this side of town. The crust is nice and crispy without being too thin to hold up to all the cheese and toppings that I like. There are a few tables inside in a little side room, but I would say 95% of their business is takeout/delivery. read more

Driving around Indy on a cold a rainy night, wanted something different than any of the fast food chains in the area. Took a chance on M&B and was definitely impressed! The pizza and Stromboli sandwich was delicious. The price was a little high for the size pizza I got but the taste made up for it. I would definitely visit again though as the service or price didn't discourage me from going back. read more

We decided to split a pepperoni pizza, and Michael hyped it up for a reason, it was SO good! It came out hot, packed with flavor, and even the crust was delicious (which says a lot). Parking can be a little tricky if street parking is full, but there is a nearby garage which makes it manageable. Overall, great vibes, great service, and great food. Everything else was pretty standard. This is located in the PNC building and it's only open during lunch. It's really hard to get to outside of that time. The service was great, though. Otherwise the hours are way too restrictive. There are better pizza places that are actually open for dinner and on weekends. I would give this 3.75 stars if I could.
