I really dont like giving a bad review, but i have to be honest. To begin, their prices are high for what you get. We ordered a large full meat pizza. I think there were 4 different meats. "Thin crust" The meat was quite salty and the cheese was average. The crust wasnt truly thin but VERY doughy (if thats a word) They also leave between 1 1/2- 2 inches of uncovered crust around the pie. So, your basically getting a medium pizza for the price of a full. This is a pizza you'll eat if youre really hungr . But wont finish because its really good. Because it's not. The customer service? Sub par at best. Bottom line? There are 4-5 different pizza places to choose from nearby. We will pass on this in the future read more

We tried the basic cheese pizza, chicken pesto pizza, lasagna pizza (garfield would love it), broccoli & spinach pinwheel, ham & pepperoni pinwheel and a stuffed monster that had ham and potato. This is one of the best pizza joints I have been to. The crustis crispyand superthin. They have the finest ground garlic to sprinkle on everything. You should try Gio's! Gio's Pizza is the BEST pizza in Anthem and the surrounding area. It's small store front is deceiving to its delicious pizza pie. Their thin crispy crust matched with a savory gravy and cheese makes for an amazing pizza. There are several other items on their menu which they too perfect but their pizza is by far the winning item. They just partnered with DoorDash and now can deliver anywhere in the surrounding area. We have been getting pizza, meatballs and other menu items for years @ Gio's because it was the closest thing to East coast pizza we could find up near Anthem. As 25 + year transplants from NJ/Philly we know our pizza. Since new ownership the food quality and taste has really plummeted! We have given it 3 chances, thinking maybe it was a fluke or it would improve but sadly nope! The pizza now tastes worse then roller rink pizza, seems pressed or mass produced, large is now very small and has been burned & rubbery all 3 times. If the recipes were purchased with the place I'm afraid they are either trying to save money buying crap ingredients or just have no clue what they're doing. I was not going to post this but see from other recent reviews I am not the only one thinking it has gone way down hill. It's a shame for multiple reasons: now we have to drive to Glendale (NYPD) or Scottsdale (Yo Pauly's on Via Linda rocks!!) Old town (Joe's) for pizza - Gio's was a favorite staple in Anthem with the East coast crowd - afraid yet another Anthem resturant will not be around for long. If you're in the Anthem area and want some good quality pizza, Gio's is a great place to stop by! My boyfriend and I went here yesterday and enjoyed our pizza. We went probably an hour and a half before closed and were surprised by the variety in the slices they had left. We got a few slices plus garlic knots and shared it all. My boyfriend got a slice with sausage, I got a white pizza slice, and we shared a vegetable stuffed slice. My favorite was the white pizza, there was lots of garlic on it which I loved! Only complaint was that there was a ton of grease, otherwise yummy. The stuffed slice was a bit overwhelming for us, just too much spinach or something, but I liked it! My BF liked his sausage slice but said a little too much grease too. The garlic knots were yummy, I had them the next day too and they were good leftovers. Didn't have to pay much for a TON of food too. Like $20 to feed two people and have plenty left over. I'd totally come back. read more

Husband and I stopped by on our way to Phx. Slices are pretty big and SO GOOD! Wings are delicious as well!!! We were able to sit outside with our dog which was pretty nice. The only thing that bothered me is that they charge .75 cents for ranch that isn't even homemade! Most pizzerias charge much less for homemade ranch- but that's okay! I had been hearing about Gio's for about a week and was really eager to try it. I took the family for dinner and was very pleased with my meal. I ordered the Caprese Pizza, the Napolitano with pepperoni, and the Caprese Salad. The Caprese Pizza was really great! The pizza had a really nice garlic flavor and the ingredients were really fresh, the tomatoes, the basil, all of it. The pepperoni, ehh, you might as well go to Rays for a pizza like that. And the salad, again, nothing fantastic, but the ingredients were nice and fresh. As for the establishment itself. The staff is really friendly and very willing to help with whatever. There is a lack of seating which is hard for going out with a family, but you can always take your pizza home. All in all, the pizza is a little on the pricy side, but it is defiantly worth trying at least once to experience some good food and some fun people. read more
