Giovanna's Cafe in Ramsey, NJ. The comfort level here is 10/10. Once you step inside feel as if you are eating in Giovanna's home with family photos, fresh food and amazing service. Coming here for Brunch last Sunday was a great experience. The food comes out fresh and ready. The service is fast but friendly. You really feel like you're home! Look out for the rotating eggs Benedict option-the BLT Eggs Benedict was perfect! BLT Eggs Benedict-Crispy Bacon, Arugula, Tomatoes, Poached Eggs over Brioche Bread topped with our In-house Hollandaise Sauce served with Giovanna's Signature Home Fries Million Dollar Bacon- Brown Sugar, Cayenne Pepper & Black Pepper Steak and Eggs- Angus steak, seasoned with herb butter, served with 2 local farm fresh eggs, toast and Giovanna's Signature Home Fries Chocolate Chips Pancakes French Toast

Went for brunch yesterday. This place does not disappoint. We were seated right away which is rare there's usually a wait since it's so small and popular but we were there at the right time, after breakfast and before lunch. My mom had French toast which she loved, my step daughter had a waffle with whipped cream and strawberries. We had a slice of banana bread that was great. I ordered the avocado toast with eggs over medium and they were cooked perfectly. The bread and avocado with arugula was delicious. Side of bacon was cooked to perfection. Coffee, and hot chocolate were a hit. I ordered iced coffee and when we were leaving I asked for a to go cup and was given one with some extra coffee to make it a full cup. I love this place.

This is our favorite weekend breakfast spot. Their specials menu is always divine. Here are some photos from a recent breakfast. Service is usually great but not always. Last visit he forgot a whole dish we ordered and a drink and we had to have him adjust the check. For the most part it's consistent. The food is great. Its worth waiting for as there is often a 15 minute wait.

First thing, when I saw the waitress examining the water glasses to make sure they were spotless, I knew I was in the right place. The food was made to order and fresh. One of the best breakfasts we have had bar none. Finally this place has character and the staff are so friendly. Just go!

Lovely experience for brunch. The staff is welcoming and the service is great. Stumbled upon here on a Sunday after visiting the market. It was definitely busy but worth the 30 minute wait. For drinks we had the fresh squeezed Oj, which was nice, and coffee. For food we tried the green garden omelette and the la florentina. Both were so great and come with potatoes on the side as well as toast. What really got my heart was the pumpkin patch pancakes (3). These were light and not too heavy. The ambiance is comforting and welcoming. Definitely add this one to your list!

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Giovanna's Cafe, especially to anyone who is looking for Gluten Free options! I have always loved the fact that they have so many options available for gluten free, and at a very reasonable charge! Trust me, you will not be disappointed, whether you choose dine-in or grab and go. Very cute outdoor seating, right on main street in Ramsey, perfect ambiance for a meal! The service is always top-notch, fairly quick, and I love chatting with Giovanna herself occasionally, as she seems to be around alot!

My first time here and it did not disappointed. Started off with the French toast nuggets, they had a perfect consistency of soft with a crunchy outside. My BF loved the Beast sandwich, as he said "No notes". I had an omelette but the star of the dish was the home fries. Best I've had in a longgg time. Service was quick but our waiter didn't really come back over once we got our food.

Cute little restaurant in Ramsey. Went in toward the end of the day for brunch and luckily didn't have to wait for a table. Ordered the burrito and vegetable omelet. Both were good but my burrito was markedly better than the omelette. Dining room is small so you may smell like burnt bacon when you leave. Our server was a little rude to me and only spoke to my husband the whole time, I didn't mind but found it odd for someone who works for tips to dismiss 50% of people at the table.

Can I move to Ramsey to have a chance at visiting this cafe everyday? My team and I enjoyed our meals as this was a first time visit. The grilled chicken salad with the chef's favorite salad is the main reason I am coming back again with my sis and kids. My colleague got the avocado egg dish and it looks like it should be featured in a magazine. I'm definitely trying it when we do a breakfast visit.

At the register, it was a little confusing as there was no line that had formed. There were people standing in front of the register and the young employee would just shout "next customer" and someone would decide to go next. In my opinion, I think the back room should have a door or curtain just for the employees privacy. I would not want customers seeing me eating or on my phone while I'm on a break. I'm sure most people know it's a break room, but for those who don't would be wondering why there are people sitting when the front of the store has customers waiting for their order to be taken. Back to the food... I got a panini with mozzarella, tomato, basil and chicken (additional $4.50). And I also go the Clean Green smoothie. They gave me a numbered placard so that someone could deliver my food to my table. The panini was good, but unfortunately the chicken was very dry and the ends of the bread was soggy. For something that was just made, the bread should not be soggy like it had been sitting in a liquid for a while. The smoothie was ok. I think they put too much vanilla extract in it because that was the only thing I could really taste. I think the banana needed to ripen for another day. Also, there was a grainy texture and I can't figure out why as there was no powder added to it. According to the menu, the ingredients are coconut water, banana, cucumber, spinach, dates, and vanilla extract. The total for my sandwich and drink was $31. This is an ok but overpriced lunch. I might come back to try something else in the future.

I was torn between a scone and a muffin. The muffin won purely on looks, it was giving "pick me." And I'm glad I got it... even though it was dry. Like, Sahara dry. Like it needed chapstick. Crumbly too. BUT plot twist: I didn't hate it. I wanted scone texture with muffin taste, and somehow the universe delivered both in one baked good. Accidental win. The place itself? Nothing wild, nothing gimmicky. Standard pastry case, good seating, chill vibes. But the real star here is how clean everything was and honestly, that matters. If I'm eating crumbs that explode on impact, I at least want to know they came from a spotless counter. Overall: good coffee, decent pastry redemption arc, minimal personality but solid execution. Not life changing, but I'd come back, just maybe with a glass of water... for the muffin.
