Today, one of my friends recommended Giovanna's for breakfast and I was skeptical to try a new place, but I decided to give it a shot. As I walked into Giovanna's, it made me feel at home and like I was sitting in my own kitchen. The family pictures on the wall, quotes and set up gave the cafe a warm and happy feeling. The staff was extremely welcoming, radiant and was ready to help us immediately. The food came rather quickly and portions were just right also. Neither too much nor too like. The staff continued to check up on us and make sure we were satisfied. My favorite part of the experience was the strawberry butter, which I never even heard of. Absolutely amazing on toast with jam and an omelette on the size. Overall, great staff and service, delicious food and menu, delightful atmosphere, and satisfying prices. Super cute place with friendly service. A wide variety of food as you can order breakfast or lunch. I ordered the half soup/half sandwich. I opted for the grilled veggie sandwich which came on a large fresh ciabatta roll (almost too big). As per the recommendation of our server I ordered the chicken noodle soup. This was good (could use some spices), but wasn't too hot. Chicken was fresh and not fatty like you often see. My friend ordered a salad which was super fresh. Nice sized portion. We never saw the server again for water refills (or if I wanted the soup warmer). read more

Finally made it to Giovanna's Café and it was worth the wait. Walking into Giovanna's is like walking into a friends house. You could smell the onions and peppers cooking and everyone has smile. We were a party of 3 and sat down right away; we each ordered an egg dish and we were all eating off of each others plates because one bite was tastier than the other. Giovanna's is a cozy breakfast and lunch spot. We usually order breakfast and we are never disappointed. The menu offerings are well-curated so that the kitchen gets it right every time - no undercooked bacon or overcooked eggs. Giovanna's also offers various specials, and I've never seen the same one twice - they can be a nice treat. The fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious, as is their coffee (they're able to accommodate requests for non-dairy options too). Giovanna runs a tight ship, as evidenced by her excellent food, but also by the quality of the service. The servers are wonderfully friendly and professional, and make every effort to accommodate customizations or requests. There may be a wait, particularly on weekends during brunch, but I've never waited longer than 15 minutes and it's definitely worth a little of your time. read more

This place is amazing! I recently held a party there and it was fabulous. The inside of the cafe is very cozy, the service was exceptional (thank you Toni) and the location is great- one block away from the train for guests traveling in from the city. The food by far was the best part. Giovanna takes pride in every part of the meal that is served. Everything is fresh and is delicious. She is so easy to work with and very accommodating. I walked in and they asked how many and I old them 3 because my father was meeting us and was coming a few minutes behind us. Toast was made from thick cut, freshly baked bread. Omelet was fluffy and folded as I like it. Coffee hit the spot. Home fries were fresh made and lightly crispy in the right places.
