And the points expire at some point if you don't use them for awhile. Sunday is a good day to go to avoid crowds since the retail stores were closed. Parking is usually a pain on Saturdays. I am so glad they are there!!! Even happier now that they have the "GRAB AND GO" Dinner area they just built! The breakfast/Brunchs are so yummy! Love the Cinnabun's with BACONin the middle......yes I said BACON all cooked and rolled into the pinwheel of the cinnabun. It comes out warm and has maple frosting on it! It is freaking amazing!!! The mom and daughter are too cute. The young ambitious daughter makes the most delicious home made desserts. Ask her about them she is really happy to discuss. So now the new section opened. I had the most delicious chicken noodle soup, with chunks of chicken in it. My daughter had the spinach, strawberry salad and half a sandwich. Which I soon got very jealous over. It's great for busy families on the go. Call them first and they will have it waiting. Otherwise you can walk right in and they will go over all the specials! It's great to have small family business in the cute little downtown area in Ramsey. * My only sadness was that the Portuguese Cafe that is was before had the most adorable Old World European Cafe look to the decor. Old world Pre-War tile floor/ that then turned into wide planked wood. Very eclectic! Every table different, every chair was different. Giovanna's Cafe is one of those cozy little spots that feels like a warm, welcoming American home. It's a classic Western breakfast joint with a menu full of comfort food and delicious homemade desserts. We came in on a busy Sunday morning and, as expected, the place was packed. The vibe is super homey and laid-back, but be prepared for a wait/attitudes if you're coming during peak times! The food is solid - nothing groundbreaking, but classic and satisfying. The egg, cheese, and sausage sandwich was crispy and delicious. My friend ordered the frittata that came with fruits! Now, the only downside: while the staff was friendly and patient with us, we did run into a bit of an issue when splitting the bill. Our waitress was super nice and accommodating, but the chef (who was near her) had a noticeable attitude when we asked to split the check at the end. She made a point of saying we should have asked earlier, which left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths. It wasn't a huge deal, but it definitely wasn't the smoothest experience. Prices are a little high, but still fairly reasonable compared to other spots nearby. Just maybe get the whole "splitting the bill" thing sorted earlier to avoid any tension! read more

I had the pleasure of trying Giovanna's Cafe for brunch and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. I can't say enough good things about Giovanna's and their gluten-free catering for my Christmas party! The food was absolutely outstanding--every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and completely free of gluten, so all my guests could enjoy without any worries. Every bite was a hit. I wish i found Giovanna's Cafe sooner, i just ate here for the 3rd time and its become an obsession. Lets start with the inside, it just feels like such a warm inviting little cafe you would find in Vermont. I would recommend everything we have gotten thus far, the Belgium waffles, thick brioche bun french toast, frittata, they made my mom something off the menu she loved! THE CROISSANT WITH STRAWBERRY BUTTER IS A MUST HAVE, it comes out all hot and flaky its the most amazing thing in the entire world and the only other place that makes strawberry butter is Neiman Marcus which is also delicious but omg i love love love this hidden gem!! read more

Giovanna's has been in my family's breakfast rotation for the past year and each time has been amazing. Our most recent experience was yesterday, and our waitress was Gina. She was SO sweet, and so accommodating. My sister had been there over the weekend and had a breakfast bowl special. Gina told us it was actually her idea for the special, and was able to have the cooks recreate it! Great experience all around, you can tell so much love is put into this place from the way they execute your order down to the welcoming greeting upon arrival. Definitely a must try! I have been here over a dozen times, their breakfast is excellent and their lunches are fabulous. Especially their rice balls they are just how my Nonna used to make. I would also recommend their grilled chicken on ciabatta bread with special cream sauce, it's incredible. Great service, we needed a place like this in Bergen county.
