Me and my wife decided we would go out last night in Waikiki for St Pattys so we headed over to yard house when we got there the wait was over an hour so we decided to go to Giovanni's. We haven't been in a couple years but had a great time the last time we went so decided to check out the bar. Amazingly there was actually open seating. We decided to go ahead and order a couple drinks and order a pizza. The drinks were great came to us cold and refreshing. The pizza was also one of the best I've had lately which is great because honestly I wasn't expecting much. Our bartender Cory was super attentive and nice even though she was running the bar alone she held it down! They also had some great live music. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Our girls were hungry for pizza despite all the amazing Asian cuisine here in Hawaii so we stopped by Giovanni Pastrami. This is such a cozy place with good food (girls love the pizza!) and great service, especially Christian our waiter. He was so friendly and helpful. read more

We came on Saturday night for some appetizers and drinks and sat at the bar. We come here a lot and know the food is always amazing, but this is the first time at the bar. Cory was our bartender and she was absolutely outstanding. For 7pm on a Saturday there were a few moments the bar was really busy. She didn't miss a beat and handled customers like a champ. I ordered through Ubereats (1 small italian garlic supreme and 1 garlic bread with cheese) and they called me. It wasn't Hawaii number so I didnt answer and they left the voicemail telling me to cancel. If I cancel from ubereats, Im paying without getting food. They also gave the uber driver an attitude... Am I doing something wrong or the driver? I kindly asked to contact Uber Support and they refused few times until I contact Ubereats agent..... They shouldn't act like that to people who enjoy their food. If they have a problem with the oven, they cancel order from their end. That's how things should work. Nice to play tourist and go out to eat. Nice small place, good servers. They also serve Round Table Pizza here, but no corn meal crust like the Kailua Round Table. Fast on the Coke refills helps too! read more

Because we had a coupon we came over here for lunch, and we love a pastrami sandwich of course. Having had Jenny's garlic shrimp the day before, I ordered the garlic shrimp here with a side salad and Mac salad. Hubby had the traditional Benedict with home fries. We were promptly seated and waited on. Our waitress was lovely, especially when she spotted my cup of sorbet from Henry's. There were so many cloves of soft garlic that I couldn't finish it all. It tasted good just very different from the shrimp truck for me. Hubby's Benedict was good although the English muffin was just okay. The day before he had Benedict over taro bread which was very soft. This place is more of a sports bar upstairs that is frequented by locals. Regardless, it's always good to give places a try to decide for yourself. Support this local business. read more

My wife brought me here to celebrate my birthday. Our food was delicious. We also had the pleasure of having Christian, as our server. I travel a lot for work, so I'm always eating out at different restaurants. Christian was one of the best servers I've seen in a long time. You could tell he loves his job. He had a great personality and attitude. Checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. I believe he was working at least five tables and he was interacting with each table this way. He did not give off the impression that you were bothering him because you wanted a refill on your beverage, needed more napkins, etc. He's a great asset to Giovanni Pastrami. My wife and I both agreed to go back to this restaurant at least one more time before we leave Honolulu and ask to be seated in Christian section. Great job Christian!! read more

We ate here two days in a row. Both days where really good. We were very impressed with the food. The fired rice was great. The loco moco was the best we had. The pizza with the happy hour was great. First of all, I stopped by earlier in the day just to ask if breakfast was still being served, but I had missed it by a few minutes. I decided to return later, and I'm so glad I did because I ended up at Erica's table. She was not only a wonderful server, she was attentive in a way that felt effortless and genuine. As a visitor, it meant a lot to be treated with warmth instead of the jaded energy tourists sometimes get. She checked on me without hovering, and somehow made me feel like an old friend rather than just another guest passing through. What truly impressed me was that she treated everyone around me with the same kindness and professionalism. Listening to her interact with others only confirmed how exceptional she is. You go, Erica. Our food took THREE hours to get delivered! I reached out after hour 1 and they said they were still working on it. After hour 2, I called again about 5x to try to cancel and now no one was answering the phone. Hour 3 arrives and my food appears VERY cold and not good at all. We ordered a pizza with mushrooms and it was thin. The meatball sandwich had 2 meatballs in it cut in half. For the price I would of expected to be full when we left. The restaurant was really loud. Too loud to have a conversation. We watched a couple ask for the tv volume to be lowered and when it wasn't they walked out. We were there during football and people were really into the game. Miranda was my server and she was GREAT!!! I also loved my food. I had the Giovanni shrimp and fried rice instead of the regular white rice and it was pretty good. Saw this place thinking it was small from the outside looking in. It is not it actually has a split level bar w/more tables in the back. Atmosphere was relaxing, plenty of TVs to watch. Workers friendly. I ordered a Kona Wave brewski to go with/my Maui Zaui pizza. It was delicious w/Pineapple, ham, bacon, green, red onions.
