Got there at 4:15 so I expected it to be ready or just about there, however I was told "it'll be out in 2 minutes" didn't get my order until 4:30 though. I can't believe how disappointed I am with my dinner. The steak tips were so over cook they tasted like grizzle scraped off the grill, my salad was soggy along with the onion rings. This place is pretty cheap. I got a large cheese steak with grilled onions and a gatorade for like 8 bucks. The service was fine and the food was ready pretty quick. The sub was made with correct toppings(pickles lettuce etc). The sub was good, stuffed with steak but way to greasy, I understand steak and cheese subs usual are greasy but this was soaking in it. read more

This place used to be one of my go-to places. Never again. I ordered a steak tip combo dinner with fries and rice and they gave me onion rings and salad. Ordered 2 pizza rolls and I got 2 spinach rolls. Also forgot the steak bomb sub I ordered but they had no problem at all charging me for everything. I own an Adult Day Care and have been ordering lunch for over 8 months for an average of 50 people 6 times a week. I must say that I am impressed at the pride the owner takes in preparing a variety of high quality food at VERY reasonable prices. Before I found this place I had tried 4 other places including BERTUCCI'S in Braintree but the combination of quality and quantity of Giovanni's food exceeds by far each and everyone of them. This place is phenomenal! I've been coming here for years, and just noticed some really unfair reviews, so I had to say something. I'm at giovanni's at least 3 times a week ordering the grilled chicken kababs on a greek salad for lunch. These guys have the BEST house dressing around, seriously I would buy this by the gallon if I could. On top of that, they have unbeatable prices for the area. So my review is based on having their very popular chicken kabob salad. The chicken is perfect! Its seasoned well, tender, and juicy. They lay it on a bed of lettuce, onions, and feta and tomato. They give you a dressing as well but I always prefer oil and vinegar. The price for the food is just awesome. Perfect for the food. I always request dry crushed red pepper cause I like to have it with a kick. Definitely call ahead of lunch cause it gets quite busy with orders. The chicken kabob salad is THE salad to have. Giovanni's has the best chicken kabob salad!! That is what I always order. It has been consistently delicious since I have been eating there for the past 6 years. Their greek salad dressing is homemade daily and it is so tasty. You cannot buy anything like this dressing in the supermarkets. The salad is easily large enough for two to share. The last time I was there I noticed that they sell a baked haddock (or schrod) dinner. I thought I would deviate from my usual chicken kabob salad and I was very impressed. The fish was so fresh. It was as good as any of the other famous fish houses in the Boston area, and for a fraction of the price! The fish portion was huge and it came with salad, rice, pita bread and extra lemon. My son has been a fan of their Calzones. The ham and cheese is his favorite but all of them are delicious. My Daughter is a huge fan of their cheese pizza (as is the rest of the family). In the 6 years that our family has eaten at Giovanni's we have been greeted in a friendly fashion by all the staff. The food has been consistently great. You cannot beat the value!! read more

I've been going to Giovanni's for at least 5 years, but I assume they changed hands maybe a year ago when I ordered a pizza and found half melted cheese on it, and same with the next time. After that I stopped going for about a year, til I just went again since they're close and I felt lazy and yet again I find a pizza with pools and blotches of half melted cheese that looks like it was put on after it was cooked to cover up spots. Absolutely disgusting. The funny thing is their "motto" is "If you don't like it, tell us" last time I told them they made me feel very uncomfortable when picking up the replacement pizza, to a point of it feeling like mockery. It's conveniently located near my office and next door to a Walgreen's. It's easy to call in my order ahead of time, pick up a few things from the drug store and be back at my desk in 15 minutes. It's also convenient that it's next to the Walgreen's because they don't have a lot of parking and you can park at Walgreen's. I've never been disappointed with my lunch from here. I almost always get the Garden salad with a scoop of tuna. I make sure to specify no onions, no olives and no feta cheese because they typically put those items on their salads. They've never screwed up my specific order. Depending on your taste or not, I find their "scoop" of tuna to be more like a bowl of tuna. Which is fine, because it tastes good and, because it sticks to the cover of the container, you can separate the lettuce from the tuna and pick at the tuna to your hearts desire. A little wasteful as I never finish all of it but still not exactly a down point. I've never had pizza from there so I can't comment on that, but as far as the subs go they aren't anything special, but they aren't bad either. read more

I've been here a few times, as it's very close by, The roast beef is pretty good, the steak tips are really good, and their sausage pepper onion sub is incredible. The only thing is I didn't ask for marinara sauce on the SPO, so if you want that on there, you might want to specifically ask for it. read more

i feel as if many of these reviews don't do this establishment justice. for one, has anyone seen the menu? they literally have everything from gyros to seafood. not only is the menu shockingly large, but the prices aren't that bad either. paying under $5 for a sub is rare now a days. it's always really busy on the weekends, but if you call in ahead your order should be ready on time. the owner is always exceptionally friendly to every customer, which provides a more personal experience. i haven't found a reason to not come back at least once a week. on a side note, try the chicken kabob salad, definitely the best in town* read more

Geovanni's is one of the very few subshops in my area that deliver on Sundays, and also the only one (that I have found) that offers fried mushrooms. I ordered for delivery last night, and waited 2 HOURS!!! I called the restaurant after waiting an hour and a half and they said the driver should be there in 2 minutes. The driver called me TWICE to get directions to my house, the second time requesting that I stay on the phone with him until he got there. He showed up about 20 minutes later. Needless to say, the food was COLD, and way overpriced for what we got!! 40 dollars for 2 roast beef sandwiches, fried mushrooms and 2 spinach rolls. AND there was no attempt to justify the situation AT ALL!!! Sad to say I will NEVER be ordering from them again. I suggest hiring drivers that are familiar with the town the restaurant is located in (at the VERY least)!! I will find some where else to get fried mushrooms!! read more

Great food. We catered for baby shower and we are glad we did. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. They had the whole set up with trays and food warmers. Deciding what food to order was fun and we got to try plenty of options. Steak tips and Grilled chicken was our favorites.
