Lousy customer service annd no communication. I am so disgusted by the way I was treated as a customer tonight. If I was told it would be a 1-1/2 hour wait that would be okay but was not the case. I called in my order. The person said half hour. I came in half hour as suggested and then went to the counter and the young lady had no problem telling me it would be another 15-20 minutes that they had not started my order yet but had no problems taking my money. I said okay and went and got my son from the car and came inside and waited. Waited as I saw people leave with orders, people get served who came in after me. I looked up and asked her have you started my pizza yet (this was another 25 minutes later) and she said no. Today, I picked up my favorite salad, Chicken Kabob, to bring home to share with my husband for lunch. The bottom of the salad container was full of water, which leaked through the bag on the way home. The biggest surprise is the reduction in the amount of chicken. The piece size went from the whole top covered in 3-4 inch pieces to less than an inch, and the quantity was less than half. I've been getting this salad for years and was very disappointed today. No one wants an overpriced salad full of water, and there is no need to reduce the amount of chicken except to save money for yourself. You've lost a longtime customer in one visit. We were looking for a quick stop off of route 93 on the drive to Vermont and decided to stop here since it was very convenient. We were so glad we did because the roast beef sandwiches were absolutely delicious! The meat was perfect, the rolls were super fresh and the BBQ sauce was also great. I went on a Sunday and will never go back. I placed an online order from them (Slice Order #069 on 7/11/21). I got a text saying it was ready around the estimated time. I went inside and stood in a long line. When it was finally my turn to get my order, only part of my order was ready. No one knew where the sub went. Then once that was remade, my onion rings disappeared. They remade those and the delivery driver took that order and left. It was ridiculous.  It took an hour after getting my "your order is ready" text to actually get my food. My hot sub was cold. Every employee was stressed. They seemed understaffed, so I was being kind about it all. No one apologized for the issue or seemed to care. They all just assumed someone else was fixing my order.  To make things worse, I noticed that night an additional charge was placed on my card I used for the order. They claimed I asked for something extra on my sub that I had not. I got this all resolved with their online ordering company Slice they use but I'll never go there again. read more

The Hooksett Giovanni's used to be a great franchise with good customer service and good food. We used to be loyal customers for the past 4+ years. The customer service is so bad under the new owner and management that we won't be returning. I spent over $100 in the past couple of nights here and tipped well the first night. On the second night (March 11, 2022), I brought in a coupon from their menu stating $6 off any orders of $35 or more. The cashier said they don't take coupons, and then another employee started screaming at me and took the coupon to show the owner. She said they are under new owners and management and no longer accept or honor their coupons from their website. The owner asked to see the coupon a few minutes later, but the employee who took it acted like I never gave it to her. And he said they don't do coupons. So I suggested they update their website to reflect this, and he got mad. We won't be back again - we don't deserve to be screamed at or treated poorly by management or the new owner just for asking to use a coupon for the first time from their website. You've lost two loyal customers in one evening. We would have been understanding had they been nice and not screaming at us over something that was not our fault. read more

When I showed up, despite the cost difference, they corrected their mistake, and made me a sausage pizza at no charge. Love Giovannis typically go to Londonderry but order from Hooksett every now and then. Picked up to go tonight and wow, the quality and portions have gone downhill. The Jr Roast Beef was as thin as a McDonald's cheeseburger. Asked for medium steak tip dinner and received them well done with fries instead of rice. Ordered 2 pints of their famous house dressing and got 10 small singles that come with a side salad. Will not be going back to this location. read more

I have been going to this location for years, and until recently, it was outstanding. I am sad to say they have changed things for the worse. The cheese they are using on their pizza is awful. They used to have the best pizza in the area. Also, their house dressing has been a staple, but I recently got a salad and it was a watered down ranch. I couldn't even eat it. We tried Giovanni's despite the poor Yelp reviews, we regretted it. Ordered chicken wings, onion rings with a cheese pizza. Wings came as tenders. The server saw us look puzzled but didn't say anything. Wasn't the first bad vibe we had so we just dealt with it. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying especially when the receipt said "WINGS". Tenders were standard, frozen. Nothing special. The hand battered onion wrings were a huge disappointment. I wasn't aware it was possible to mess up onion rings. They were flavorless and hard. We ordered the smallest size and didn't finish them. The cheese pizza was good. Thats about it. Giving it two stars solely for the good music that they were playing and that it seemed to be clean. Stopped in for lunch and ordered a small sausage pizza and a vanilla Coke. The total was $12.50, which was really overpriced for the amount of food I got. The pizza was really greasy and had quite possibly the thinnest crust of any pizza I have ever bought from a restaurant. Even though I ordered a little past noon on a Thursday I got my order fairly quick though. Apparently they have a deal on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday that you can get a large pizza for the price of a small pizza. If I had ordered a large at the price of a small I would have given Giovanni's a 3 star rating. Overall though the pizza was too greasy for me, the crust was too thin. And the $1 extra I paid for the sausage topping was even too much considering that they put about 1 circular sausage on every slice. I do believe that Pizza Man down the road has pizza that is less greasy, is thicker and is slightly better priced. Wow! This pizza here is FRESH. The Veggie Deluxe comes loaded with spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, garlic, onion, peppers, mushrooms, and olives. Hard to eat; very messy, but absolutely worth the hassle. My family also ordered cheese and pepperoni slices, which the family agreed were also five star worthy. They had a great deal currently going on- 2 slices of cheese pizza with a fountain drink for $2.99, or pepperoni for $3.99. Placing an order for delivery and it never shows up and they automatically give their drivers a 20% tip without your consent. My husband and I come here pretty regularly but something is off with this place now. Today makes me never want to come back. I'm sick right now and wanted to get some rice pilaf which is normally really good, my husband ordered some too and we got our usual order. He tried it first but before even taking a bite said it didn't look right and when he tried it, he said it was way too undercooked. I tried mine and it was like eating small rocks. I am already nauseous and this was supposed to help not make it worse. When I called I asked to speak to who was in charge. I'm never rude when I call places which is pretty rarely. I didn't even ask for a refund or anything, I just wanted them to be aware so that nobody would get sick (I already got physically sick after eating two bites because it was that gross) I told the manager or whatever that it was undercooked and he told me that I was wrong, no this rice is cooked. So I said no, it was rock hard so please don't let it happen again. apparently this place is ok with giving people food that could make them ill? I was trying to let them know over the phone so I wouldn't have to write this. I've worked customer service many times and you don't treat people like that. Undercooked rice can literally give you food poisoning. You should've handled my complaint with professionalism not an attitude when stuff like this could get you shut down. read more

Giovanni's Hooksett = very disappointed My husband and I ordered two items. Steak calzone and a kebab salad with chicken and steak. I ordered the steak on the salad medium rare. The order was picked up and brought about 10 minutes home to our house. The salad itself was a good size. The medium rare steak was more like pot roast and the chicken was very dry.
