The order was picked up and brought about 10 minutes home to our house. The salad itself was a good size. The medium rare steak was more like pot roast and the chicken was very dry. 3.5 stars Giovannis has fairly good food for a quick meal or delivery, problem is, they wont deliver to my house (6 miles away) but the place across the street will (pizza man) Their roast beef sandwiches are pretty good, Its no beefside but its still very good. Usually have a good experience with their delivery but tonight was bad. They forgot to give me the mozzarella sticks I ordered and when I called to let them know, they said they would send their driver back and the guy never showed up. If I could give no stars I would. Spent $21 today for two of the worst ham and cheese subs that were ever made. Now let's consider what I paid for. I just got a steak salad delivered. The salad was hot and wilted. When I called to complain, they would not do anything because I had thrown it away and I couldn't prove that I didn't eat it. We use to order from them a lot but not anymore. We've noticed that they have been going downhill but never expected a wilted salad. The food is good if it's actually hot. I have received cold food on more than 2 occasions. I believe in giving a place a second chance and I was disappointed over and over. They stack way too many deliveries on a driver and by the time it gets to you it's cold and gross. The staff I have spoken with are also a bit rude and short with you. Especially on the phone. Food isn't bad, nothing to write home about, but they've messed up almost every single delivery order we've had from them (probably about 5 or 6 times over the course of 6 months). Tonight was the final straw, with after an hour and half, I get a call saying that due to a back up of orders, our food was cold and that we could wait another hour for them to remake it, or have them deliver what they had and get a refund. Stopped there to take advantage of their $6.99 large cheese pizza special. The crust had to be the blandest crust I've ever tried. It had zero flavor. The pizza itself was also mostly flavorless. Bland sauce and cheese, topped with grease. I tried adding red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese to improve it, but it didn't help. About an hour or so after eating the pizza, both my husband and I had awful stomach aches and indigestion. We did not try the subs, but there was a woman in there eating one of the steak and cheese subs. I watched as she doused the sub in salt before eating it. This place was definitely not worth it, we would have been better off going to the Wendy's down the road. At least we would have enjoyed some flavor. Don't waste your time or money! read more

The best Sub shop around. Subs are always delicious and pizza is good too. I usually get the steak tip sub, it's great marinated steak . My other favorite is the Italian sub , the way they make it perfect, i especially like they use shredded lettuce on the subs. I would recommend the pizza here rather than go to pizzaman down the street. The service has always been fast too , and they deliver the food to you at your table. read more

Hard to rate this visit. We have been many times & the food was good. Today we ordered pick up, waited for 10 minutes in the lobby only only to realize our food had been brought out and was sitting there the whole time with us. Got home (about 15 minutes) and the food was cold. Opened my fiancé's sub only to realize when we ordered the House Style Steak tip sub and asked for no onions or tomatoes that means you get a sub roll & steak tips. No feta, no dressing, no cheese..BUTTT you do get one heck of an attitude from Jan when you call to complain. 1st she'll refuse to accept they messed up & tell you it's your fault. 2nd she will tell you they can only offer a store credit because they do not do refunds. 3rd she'll tell you no one knows how. I'm super pissed about our recent order. We ordered a sub, and a small pizza for my 4 year old, we ordered pepperoni and it came to us not cut and with peppers, my sub was cold, my wife's sub came with nothing she ordered. This place is great! Perfect place for us as we passed through town for one of the best roast beef sandwiches I've ever had! The cashier recommended the 3-way on my medium rare sandwich, which was American cheese, mayo and BBQ sauce...delicious! My husband loved the buffalo chicken tender calzone. Stopped in for lunch today. Ordered 4 subs. Have been in Giovannis many times before in Hooksett and Londonderry. Have had tuna sub many times. Usually tastes great. I got home..live north of Concord..ready to eat lunch and sub was bad. Tuna/meat looked old/past and it did not taste like tuna. I nicely called store and requested simply my money to be credited back for just this one sub. They said tuna was fine and nothing they could do. They said I could drive back down and they would make another tuna sub. Live too far away to drive back for a $6.75 sub. They refused to credit the amount of the sub. Customer was definitely not right in this case. Very disappointed. Owner did not seem to care at all. The last few weeks I have experienced something strange at the Hooksett store. The girl working the counter has been rude and seemingly annoyed to have to do her job. I experienced the staff having obnoxious conversations like I wasn't there. And twice now 30 minutes before closing time they have been rolling up the sidewalk and would not cook chicken for me because the grill was off. I have been a big fan of Giovanni's since discovering super beef, three ways down in Haverhill. When they added one up in Hooksett, I was excited. Thier chicken kabob salad is the best I have ever had! This week I kept driving and went to the Pizza Man. Please return your service to the high level it has been in the past. I've been to many Giovanni's before and this one is by far the worst! I've gone in person and asked about their half off pasta days and ordered from that menu just to go home and find out I paid full price when I just had the conversation with them. Their club sandwiches are disgusting and made poorly. If you order seasoned fries prepare to throw them out o couldn't even wipe the seasoning off of my fries there was so much had to throw them out. And to top it all off I ordered a chicken broccoli calzone and while I was eating it I almost chocked on a large wishbone shaped bone. I sent an email about it and didn't receive a response from them. I called them and told them I had the receipt and the bone still and asked if I could get my money back on the calzone that I couldn't eat. They told me it's not their problem because I didn't call them the day that it happened but I had ordered close to their closing time. They said I could've had to the bone laying around and just called them about it now. extremely unprofessional food establishment. This place has been nothing but exceptional every time I chose to eat here. The staff are quick and kind and have never messed up my order. I imagine if they did they would be more than happy to fix it. I am greeted every time I come in and it makes me extremely happy. Most importantly of all, the food is made correctly and it's very good. Don't be afraid to stop here if your hungry, you won't regret it.
