I was very disturbed tonight however- while sitting at the bar, we saw an employee stand on top of the bar to reach a bottle on the top shelf. After getting down, he did not wipe down or sanitize the counter. Three other employees were standing around and didn't seem fazed by it, which makes me think the hygiene may be lacking in other areas as well. I look forward to DineLA, which is a two-week promotion that occurs twice a year. I browse through the list of participating restaurants and like to try new places. North Italia has a Lunch $35, Brunch $25, and Dinner $45 Prix Fixe menu through August 28, 2026. Either deal you choose, is a real steal! Our Server was Chaz, he checked on us frequently through the evening. Generally speaking, I like Italian food. The sauce marinara sauce and cheese compliment each other so well and used in many of their dishes. This is what I was expecting in my lasagna entree. One bite and my taste buds came alive, this restaurant is a scratch kitchen. The sauces are made in-house daily and everything I tasted was outstanding. My order selections were: Small Plate menu - Truffle Garlic Bread (add-on, not part of the DineLA menu). You've gotta have bread with an Italian meal. The toasted Ciabatta bread was prepared with three kinds of cheeses and a generous drizzle of truffle oil. There was a ramekin of vodka sauce for dipping. I'm now spoiled for life, I've never had a more delicious serving of garlic bread. Appetizer - Sicilian Meatballs in a creamy polenta sauce, marinara, and grana padano cheese. Three meatballs per order, hearty, and rich in flavor. Entree - Sunday Lasagna prepared with ground braised short rib, Italian sausage, marinara sauce with provolone and ricotta cheeses. First time ever having short rib in lasagna, it's a winner! Each bite is packed with flavor. My guests enjoyed the Trottole Chicken Pesto pasta, Spicy Rigatoni Vodka with Italian sausage. The portions were generous. Dessert - Salted Caramel Budino, a custard served chilled with Chantilly cream, sliced banana, and a dash of espresso fudge, topped with toasted pecan toffee nuts. This sweet and crunchy topping was outstanding. Banana Caramel Butter Cake with Vanilla Gelato dessert, nice touch to have Gelato instead of ice cream. On a date night with the wife decided to try this location at Del Amo Mall, good food really, good service A+ all the way, We really like the decor in the interior of the bar in this place. Lots of mixed drinks to choose from. We ordered a few different things, my only complaint was my chicken Parm was a little cold when I got it, could have used more sauce and cheese. My family enjoys dining at the North Italia in El Segundo, so when we saw that a new location had opened at Del Amo Mall, we decided to try it. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and classy. They have a variety of seating options: booth (small and large), table, high top, bar, and outdoor patio. We started off with their Cacio E Pepe Arancini. An order comes with 6 pieces of crispy risotto, crushed pepper, and pecorino romano. It's served with a pesto aioli. These were yummy! I wanted something lighter for lunch, so I got the Seasonal Vegetable Salad. It had a good variety of fresh ingredients--grilled asparagus, heirloom tomato, snap pea, avocado, pecorino, garlic breadcrumbs, and a green goddess dressing. The menu had mentioned corn, but I don't think my salad had any. You can also add a protein for an additional cost. I got the chicken, which was pretty good. I tried some of the Heirloom Beet and Chicken Salad. It had avocado, cucumber, goat cheese, and fregola with a red wine vinaigrette. Such a pretty and colorful salad! There were different color beets, and the goat cheese added a nice creaminess to the salad. I also tried some of the Bolognese Pasta, which is North Italia's house speciality. It comes with a traditional meat sauce, grana padano, and wild oregano with pappardelle pasta. This pasta really retained the heat throughout the meal. Being a fan of North Italia, I was definitely looking forward to checking them out for brunch. I've only dined at North Italia for lunch or dinner so getting breakfast here was definitely something different. My friend and I chose to get a variety of brunch dishes. Our order consisted of the Breakfast Carbonara Pasta, the Spicy Rosa Breakfast Pizza, the Cacio e Pepe Arancini and their seasonal Chicken Soup. The Chicken Soup and Cacio e Pepe Arancini came out first. The Chicken Soup was warm and soothing. It was simple, nourishing and satisfying. The Cacio e Pepe Arancini is one dish I've tried before. These were crispy on the outside and creamy and cheesy on the inside. I liked the cacio e pepe kick but I did find this starter to be a bit on the saltier side. I also remember these arancini balls being larger in the past. For the main dishes, I tried the Spicy Rosa Breakfast Pizza first. This pizza definitely had that spicy kick with the rich, spicy rosa sauce and the Italian sausage. I loved the runny egg topping. It made for a messy and delightful pizza! Last dish I tried was the Breakfast Carbonara Pasta. I am a Carbonara fan and so had high expectations for this pasta. Unfortunately, this was my least favorite of all the dishes we had for brunch. The creaminess was not there and it lacked in flavor. It was too bland for my taste. This was quite surprising as I've always enjoyed all the pastas I've gotten before at North Italia. I just happened to find this place by chance when I needed a quick bite while waiting for service at the Apple Store. I believe my bartender was Stan or Stanley, and he was absolutely fantastic. He provided some of the best suggestions and had a genuinely warm, friendly energy. I was hesitant about trying the Crudo on the menu since the ingredients didn't seem like a combination I would typically choose, but they are ingredients I enjoy. He described the flavor a bit, so I decided to order it and was truly happy with the experience. It was light, fresh, and nothing fishy about it. I'm glad to hear there's a new location in the Bay Area I can check out as well. I will definitely be visiting this place whenever I can. Was taken to North Italia for my birthday recently and had a wonderful experience. We started with the zucchini chips which are cooked to perfection so thin and crispy and tasty. We ordered the braised beef ribs with pasta and vegetables and the salmon with pasta and vegetables, and a side of green beans with garlic. All of the food was cooked to perfection some of the best dishes I've ever eaten anywhere. The pricing was fair in comparison to today's market not super high. The service was excellent. We were well taken care of by the staff. Everybody was super friendly and attentive. This is a beautiful restaurant. The ambience is amazing. It's so busy. We gathered on a Friday night for a family birthday. One of us had booked a reservation for 9 people at 6 pm. When we arrived, I was told there were no reservations under any of the many names I provided. I was pretty stressed out because the young person at the host table just kept saying we have no reservations for that name. Thankfully another hostess realized that 9 customers were waiting for a table; and she quickly set us up for a table with a very short 15 minute wait. The waiter service here is considerably less stellar than the Cerritos location. Not sure if the music was too loud or if he was inattentive because some orders were missed. I completely understand that some hours of service are busier than other times but that's when service needs to be absolutely at its best. Thankfully the server staff were efficient - once food orders were placed, food came out from kitchen and was served in rapid succession. Cocktails are also quite good here. I got the Italian Margarita and it was refreshing. I shared a funghi pizza plus Italian Cobb salad with the table. They were out the Roast branzino and the kitchen substituted red snapper - that was also good but almost overdone on the char. Braised short ribs were tender and juicy. Cavatelli pasta with pesto sauce for the child- green sauce preferred. The Honey Pig pizza also good - has some spicy elements , it might be the hot honey drizzled over the pizza. Ask for the Bomba sauce as an add on - burrata cheese with Calabrian pepper sauce, to top your pizza. Every single dish came out delicious with the right amount of flavoring and seasoning. I was skeptical of the truffle bread with the ricotta cheese at first but the moment I tried it, I knew it was a good choice (recommended by the waiter). They also gave us a complimentary dessert for my birthday (so sweet!). It was a house made tiramisu- the lady fingers could've been more moist but it was good nonetheless. The dipping sauce was very good. For the main entree had BREAKFAST CARBONARA PASTA 2/5 I'm not a big fan of pasta but ordered this anyway since it's an Italian place and thought I'd give it a try. The favor was very bland but a you get quite a big portion. TUSCAN HASH 5/5 This was amazing and would definitely get again. The braised short rib was delicious just wish it had more on the plate. I have been to North Italia in Torrance a few times now. The food and service is decent most of the time. This location is attached to Del Amo so there's ample parking. I have come here for dinner and happy hour. I normally like to sit at the bar (their bar is huge), but if you want to sit at a table, I would recommend making reservation because it does get pretty busy. My favorites are the little gem Caesar and the bolognese. I have tried their pizzas and they are not my favorite because I feel like their topping ratio is off and every time I have been here the pizza falls apart on me. But, if I had to choose, prosciutto is my favorite. Overall, I have enjoyed their food. The only small thing that I have is that when it gets busy, the service is a little spotty. Although everyone is very nice, the food comes out with long wait times and different order (got my pizza first before the salad). Also, sometimes the food is also not as good when it's good. (My little gem salad last time was watery). I will definitely comeback here but maybe avoid busy times to have consistent food and service. read more

We used to go to the El Segundo location quite a bit but it's been a minute. My son wanted a nice sit down so we came here. Sat at the patio on a Friday night with the heaters on and it was comfy. Server was super friendly and nice. All the food was yummy but I really enjoyed the chicken pesto pasta. It has little fried capers that are just mini flavor bombs. My son also loved the lasagna. We used to always get the bolognese and short rib pasta but we decided to try some different things this time. Kids loved the white garlic truffle bread as always. This is one of our go-to spots for any family birthday celebration. This North Italia is located at the Del Amo Mall next to Nordstrom. Reservations are very easy to make via OpenTable. We've been here several times now over the last few years and it has been consistently good and reliable each time. The place is pretty spacious with a casual yet slightly upscale ambience. Love their wide booths indoors. They also have an enclosed patio. Zucca Chips: light, crispy zucchini chips. Sometimes slightly oily and soggy but overall a good, kid friendly appetizer. Trottole Chicken Pesto: another kid friendly pasta with chicken, pesto, toasted pine nut, garlic, basil, and crispy caper and a way to get your kid to eat green things. Italian Farm Salad: love this salad! It's balanced and very flavorful with salami, speck, provolone, pepperoncini, olive, heirloom cherry tomato, cucumber, pickled red onion, piquillo pepper, herb breadcrumb, and tossed in oregano vinaigrette. It was really tasty I would've preferred for the sauce to have been marinara but I think it was just regular tomato sauce due to the less than thick consistency. Gluten-free pizzas for the win! I'm taking a break from gluten due to some GI issues, and I'm so grateful that North Italia offers gluten-free pizza crusts. I ordered the hot honey and smoked prosciutto pizza on a gluten-free crust, and honestly couldn't tell the difference from the regular version. It was my first time trying this one and I was amazed--there's just something about honey on a pizza. The prosciutto and arugula complemented each other perfectly. I also got the seasonal vegetables with the cheese and dressing on the side, and they were exquisite. It came with kale, butternut squash, brussels sprouts, pistachios, and a delicious white balsamic vinaigrette. My niece got the Margherita pizza with a regular crust and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure if they were understaffed but we came at a very slow hour; the place was only half-full. We were disappointed that the meal would be missing the main ingredient that's in the name of the salad. This experience was not worth it; wouldn't come here again. In any case, when he finally came by, we ordered cocktails and an appetizer (zucca chips and dip). The appetizer was delivered by a food runner at which time we asked for glasses of water (maybe you have to request water?) LOL the appetizer was almost finished by the time the cocktails came and the kicker was our order hadn't even been taken (maybe our waiter Chris figured we needed time to eat the appetizer before we knew what we wanted to order)? We finally ordered and the food came out relatively quick. The food was delicious, no doubt about that. Our waiter Chris hadn't come by to check on things and when he finally came he was just about to hand over the check. The hilarious part was that we wanted dessert and had to ask to see the dessert menu. Oh boy how hard it is to find good employees! Stop by every so often to check if anyone needs anything (water refills), ask how are things and most definitely inquire about dessert before handing over the check. Service was horrible without question BUT maybe that was Chris' service style? If that was the case, maybe better training should be sought. Came in on a Sunday for brunch. It was kind of empty. Ordered to go. The food was 10/10 I got the crispy eggplant Parmesan, it was absolutely delicious! For almost $20 it will NOT fill you up tho, I don't eat a lot and it barely satisfied me. My Jumpstart coffee was a 10/10 They only get 4 stars because they forgot about my drinks which we had to wait forever for. The girl brought out my food and said "oh let me see what's going on with the drinks" never saw her again. Waited. Until the bartender asked me if I wanted ice in my Jumpstart coffee??? I mean, doesn't it come with ice? The bartender finally made our drinks. The restaurant wasn't even busy... Either way, I enjoyed my food and drink.. but was just more of a midday snack. read more
