I have the burrata caprese and I think it could use more balsamic I mean burrata is burrata so it was fantastic. The tiny tomatoes throw me off a little bit for but like in general everything was delicious.. My friend ordered the lasagna which I was a little bit envious of after I saw it. It's a huge portion and it's absolutely fantastic.. I had the night special, which is chicken piccata, which was overall very lovely buttery lemon and tangy could've used a little bit more pasta, and the broccoli was cooked really well in general lovely. We share the tiramisu for dessert and I really can't complain. I think it could've been a little bit more punchy when it came to the coffee in the rum, but it was still really good. It's been here for years but it's taken me this long to give it a try. It's a Sunday afternoon and we're celebrating my mom's birthday. The restaurant has a good lunch menu and even a lunch combo for roughly $21 for most items. Some of my family ordered the pasta while my mom and I had the lunch combo. I've been a fan of this place's sister restaurants - Bettolino Kitchen and Piccini Italian Takeout. So Gaetano's has been on my bucket list to try for quite some time now. Same style of cozy, refined, Italian homemade food with slightly different recipes. Their calamari appetizer with both the basil aioli and marinara is a classic and a must-get for your first visit here. I've also had their Tagliatelle, Penne Asparagi, and seasonal salads before. I'm looking forward to coming back to try more of their pastas, florentine skirt steak, and halibut/salmon dishes soon. I've only been here a total of ~3 times, but had to write this to highlight Rondell's customer service. We had a lovely evening with friends last night. Our server Anthony was friendly, personable and attentive. A really great person. It was packed so a bit loud but otherwise everything was ideal. We were at Gaetano's to celebrate a birthday. We were a party of 4 with reservations and were seated right away. Reservations are a must here. We selected inside as it gets cool in the evening this time of year. The Mater De was from Hawaii so we had a nice conversation about the Islands on our way to our table. Our server Ben was also once a Hawaii resident. The noise level was higher than normal as it was a Friday night and Birthday week for several large groups which was fine and added to the dinner. We were served drinks and the awesome warm bread and delicious olive oil and spice dip. Our group ordered 2 Shrimp Mediterranean dishes, shrimp, bow tie pasta, sun dried tomatoes and pine nuts (A rating), one order of Penne Alla Vodka, comprised of penne pasta, spicey sausage, onion and red pepper all with a nice red sauce( A rating). Last, but not least the Dinner special pasta which was also A rated. The Garden salad and Caesar salad as a side are large enough to split and each was delicious as well. For dessert the flourless chocolate cake and the complementary spumoni ice cream topped off the meal. Their Calamari was good. Their Florentine Skirt Steak with the Spinach Risotto was good. Their server was ok but I feel like he was rushing us to go when we were just there for an hour. I forgot his name but he was a male server. He said we were "taking too long" I understand it's Sunday and might be a lot of people waiting, but please don't rush your customers. We were just there for an hour, enjoying the ambiance outside the restaurant (as we were seated outside) and the great food. We ordered appetizers, mains and some drinks, so why the rush? We didn't had the chance to order dessert bec. we were so full. Again, we were there for an hour only. Next time, tell your customers ahead of time that you want to implement an hour table time only. The pasta was also very tasty. I ate the entire dish even though I didn't think I was that hungry! The presentation was nice even when I had ordered delivery. My toddler enjoyed the pizza. The bread pudding was very yummy and wasn't overly drenched in Nutella like I thought it might be. I definitely want to come back to dine in next time. I liked that they had a kids' menu. The pepperoni on the pizza was very nicely cooked with slightly curled edges. The crust was also nice and not too doughy. The bad: I didn't care for the tiramisu. The noodles were al dente but delicate, and the beef was beyond tender with a very flavorful ragu. I paired it with the Pear & Gorgonzola Salad which was a winner in balancing the flavors of the pasta. The bread they serve warm is like a light, soft focaccia with herbed olive oil for dipping. And their house cocktails are fun and delicate well. My favorite dish is the butternut squash ravioli with added grilled salmon. My wife always goes for the chicken Marsala. I've had the other following items: pizza , calamari fresh and crispy, meatballs are delicious and hearty, and the seafood dish (can't recall the name) is great. Now to dessert...spumoni ice cream is a must as well as the Nutella bread pudding. We usually get Elijah as our server and he's awesome, but every other staff member from bar tenders to bus boys are very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I came to Gaetano's last night. We've come here about 5-6 times but had never tried their pizza. Last night was the night! Wow! It's really the best pizza that I've had in a very long time. We ordered the Italian pizza which has handmade sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, olives, mushrooms and red peppers. They make the pizza dough in house; quite the process. The manager Ken said the dough is a 48 hour deal and it's really quite good! Our server was Anthony, he was very good as well. The only thing we added to the pizza was grated Parmesan and the hubs adds crushed red pepper. This place is always busy. You can walk in, but it's best to make a reservation. We had a really nice experience at Gaetano's on a Monday for an early dinner. We sat inside but there is a nice enclosed patio with heat lamps. At 5:30 pm it wasn't loud but had crooner rat pack music playing which gave it a classic happy vibe. The inside is updated and there are booths. Alyssa was our server and she was perfect!
