Blazin Cajun Sandwich (with Golden Turkey)
    Michelle N.

Found this spot on Yelp while looking for a quick lunch, and I'm glad I gave it a try. It's tucked away in a small shopping center with a no-frills vibe, but don't let that fool you. The staff was incredibly friendly and walked me through how to build my sandwich, which I appreciated as a first-time customer. I ordered the Blazin' Cajun sandwich and substituted the protein with the golden turkey. Great choice--the sandwich was packed with meat and toppings. The portions are generous. I only ate half for lunch and saved the other half for later, and it was just as good. If you're looking for a solid, satisfying sandwich without all the fuss, this place is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back to try another combination.

My daughter actually saw Yo Way on TikTok, and we knew we had to come check it out. I am so glad we did! I ordered the "Turkey Tussle" and was extremely satisfied with my purchase, it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and packed with flavor. It feels great to support an amazing Black-owned business that genuinely delivers on quality and taste. We will definitely be back for more! If you haven't tried them yet, you are missing out!

LOVE a big fat juicy sandwich. The person working there was also very friendly and gave us lots of context regarding the food. Small parking lot shared with a liquor store. The pickle is huge and so are the sandwiches. Service is quick. Genuinely such a solid place for sandwiches. I loved all the quotes that were up on the walls. Online ordering is available as well, making this place even more convenient.

My friend Introduced me to Yo-Way Eatery today. David and his son Devon warmly greeted us and walked us through how they do things. We each chose a house specialty and let them do it "They-Way" Truly delicious and loaded...like you would do at home but so much better. The bread was fresh and delicious and the ingredients were piled high. I could only finish half and took the other half home for my Wife. King David and Prince Devon, Yo-Way is now my way to eat a sandwich! Peace and Blessings Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

First off this place should be a top rated sandwich shop. We had the pastrami. I can't believe how good the sandwich was fresh veggies lettuce so fresh I had to open the sandwich because it was cooked to perfection shout out to the owner David who is so welcoming the ratio of bread accompanying the meat was perfect

It doesn't make sense to display menu items that customers can't order. The only reason I tried this place was because I saw a glowing review on TikTok and wanted to give it a chance. I've been here three times, and each visit has fallen well short of the experience provided by other nearby locations. The staff often seemed disengaged and gave off the impression that they wanted us to hurry up and order. Most recently, I ordered a simple mini Pitaya bowl and a smoothie. After waiting more than 15 minutes and watching several customers who ordered after us receive their food first, I had to ask about the status of my order. We discover our order was just sitting there on a side table. No one had announced our order whatsoever. What made the delay even more frustrating was that we had frozen groceries in the car that needed to be taken home. Despite living less than half a mile away, we'll gladly make the longer drive to another Beach Bowls location in the future for better service and a more enjoyable experience.

As Alison C. pointed out, "Chinollo is very unique because it's the owner is Cuban born, Peruvian raised and of Chinese heritage, so the menu is a mix of Latin American and Asian fusion." All credits to them for this because the menu makes so much sense in that light. There are 2 different and super convenient ways to order: If you want to talk to someone, you can go up to the cashiers; if you don't want to talk to anyone, there are 2 self-service kiosks. While there is seating indoors, I've always come after work hours and at that time, it seems to be primarily a to-go restaurant. I've been slowly working my way through their Wonder Bowls option - and what I've tried so far are: 0. Base options: Rice, ancient grains (mix of quinoa and other grains), raw greens, garlic noodle, or even a half-half combo of any two options. I agree with Belle C.'s comment about the garlic noodles in that it's "not garlicky enough for me, but maybe it's meant for the white American palate)". Go to any Asian restaurant, Chinese, Indo-Chinese, Viet, and the garlic noodles have tonnes of fragrant & noticeable garlic in it while this simply did not. I like getting rice or ancient grains (for extra fibre) as my base over the greens or garlic noodles. Overall, a great spot with fast & lovely service, healthy & delicious portions of food (enough for two meals for me), and delicious drinks that I recommend especially for to-go orders after work. Also lovely for workers nearby to sit down or get something quick, filing, and tasty! 1. Baja Bowl (GF, RV): Choice of base. Black beans, sweet corn, avocado, cashew-chipotle sauce, pico de gallo. Choice of free-range chicken, organic tofu or pulled pork. For steak add $1. Other choices of protein also available. I love getting this with tofu for an extra dose of fibre from veggies; that sweetness of sweet corn with the salty-creaminess of the black beans go so well with the creamy sauce. 2. Farm Veggie Bowl (V): Vegan. Choice of base. Best of season grilled vegetables, cashew-chipotle sauce, hydro watercress. Add black beans on request. Available: add protein of choice. One of my favourite veggie bowls; I do recommend adding the black beans for more fibre & protein. Such a delicious and filling bowl that's fresh. 3. Chico Cubano (GF, RV): Choice of base. Pulled pork Cuban style, mojo criollo sauce, black beans, red pickled onions, parsley, sweet plantains. other choices of proteins available. This is my absolute favourite dish specifically because of the black beans; I enjoy it so much that I've been asking for a side of them as well. It's a hefty portion of pulled pork as well and 3 chunky plantains cooked to perfection. I do wish there was little bit more of the picked onions to cut through the fatty pork as well as the mojo criollo sauce, but other than that, if you get a bite of everything, it's delicious. 4. Saltado Peruano (GF, RV): Choice of base. Sauteed onion, tomatoes, huacatay sauce, aji panca, cilantro, potato fries. Choice of free-range chicken or tofu. For steak, add $1. Other choices of protein also available. The huacatay with the steak, onions, and tomatoes is so fresh and filling; I like to dip the potatoes in the aji panca after a few bites of everything else. The potatoes are a thick cut, so it can become a tough bite at times. Pro-tip: Eat this one right away as the potatoes can get soggy pretty quickly. I do wish they gave more aji, but other than that, a delicious dish, especially with steak (which I prefered over chicken or tofu). 5. El Koreano (GF, RV): Choice of base. Grilled certified angus steak, baby bok choy, cucumber, gochujang, house kimchi, sweet umami glaze. Other choices of protein also available. I've had this, but I can't say it's my favourite; I would personally go get banchan from a Korean restaurant and enjoy that as a "bowl" than this. There's something about the house kimchi that I don't enjoy as much as I do from Korean establishments. My real complaint isn't about the food, but the to-go container; since it's not plastic, it gets soggy very quickly and loses shape from all the food in the container, causing it to scrape into the food when I use a spoon or fork to eat. My go-to drink is the Zingy; the blend of tartiness from the lemon, the bright punch from the ginger, and Its ingredients are: Fresh ginger, lemon, mint, pineapple, cayenne pepper, raw organic sugar, sparkling water. My partner likes the honey lemonade, especially because you can adjust the sweetness, and actually taste the honey. Its got freshly squeezed lemon, raw organic honey, organic raw sugar.

So take it for what it is.. and as a fellow Asian, I'm expecting natural strong flavors. I'll start with the best thing about the ice cream. The texture is a 5/5! Solid work on creaminess. Now for why I just wasn't so excited about it all. I talked about flavor. It's lacking. It tasted very milky and washed out and I really had to concentrate on exactly what flavor I was supposed to be tasting. We got three diff flavors. Regular vanilla bean, ny cherry, and halo halo. Another thing lacking was service. She was nice. But didn't seem excited to be there. And it didn't make me excited to be there. What killed it for us was the location as a whole. It comes off as a nice outdoor space. But no one cares about you. Honestly, all three times I've been to this location for different venues, I've had very rude encounters. No other place have I been to that's been this consistent with people who just don't care. So I guess my take away is - the place is fine. It'll hit the spot for ice cream. But take it and leave. They have so many cool venues around like hiro nori, nook, spam masubi... it's a shame that people around are so much about themselves.
