I personally think this doctor is completely unprofessional and refuses to give help when I need it and create schedules for me when I don't have the appropriate times. I think for a health type business he is way to high strung and needs to listen more to what people are saying, let alone more people to answer the phone. I stopped going to him awhile ago. He and his Russian assistant would always talk about my teeth and mimic me behind my back. He knew I had an inherent fear of dentists (wonder why?) and hadn't been to the dentist in awhile. Once he poked my inflamed gum and it spurted blood, hit his white coat and screamed at me (within earshot of other patients). I offered to pay for the cleaning of his coat and he never stopped screaming. Once he found out I had an FSA card in addition to my insurance, he always took the full amount out of my FSA before submitting to insurance. I have a special needs daughter who needed to see a Dentist and he turned up his nose at seeing her (in front of her). Just because she's disabled didn't mean she was stupid and didn't see this. read more

Dr. Sam is GREAT!! Very sincerely friendly and professional, both dentist assistant (also work as a receptionist too) and the dentist himself. Dr. Sam actually did the cleaning part on his own, unlike many dentist offices I've been to. Overall is nice, I'll definitely take my family back there. read more

So I am ashamed to admit that I haven't been to a dentist in close to 5 years. I chalk it up to going to grad school (no dental insurance), moving 6 times in the last 5 years, & the fact that MetLife doesn't always send out insurance cards. Anyhoo, I finally went in to get a cleaning & picked Dr. Zurich since he was part of MetLife's preferred dentists & he went to my alma mater. Plus, who can resist the name "Give Me a Smile"? It was super easy to get an appointment that worked with my schedule of being a SAHM & the receptionist/dental assistants are nice & really friendly. I totally expected to be berated for not having regular check-ups (or flossing), but Dr. Zurich was nice about it all. Cleaning wasn't painful either. I have cavities to be filled, so I'll update about that experience later! read more

Dr. Zurich is great! After avoiding the dentist for a very, very long time, I decided to get my teeth checked out. Dr. Zurich was super friendly and explained everything that he was doing. I had a few cavities and also had to get a root canal!!! When Dr. Zurich told me I had to get a root canal, I almost crapped in my pants. I have never had a root canal and was really scared after hearing about others' experiences with root canals. But Dr. Zurich put me at ease and performed the root canal great with very minimal discomfort. I would recommended Give Me a Smile to anyone who wants a great dentist! read more

Dr. Sam has been my dentist since he started practicing in Chicago many moons ago. He is so good that I followed him and now drive 35 miles to his office. His office staff is not only friendly, but they always go above and beyond their regular "responsibilities". I went to Dr. Zurich after a less than stellar experience at another local dentist. Needless to say my cleaning was what it should have been, great. My teeth feel wonderful and look a 100 times better. He was very attentive and used several different steps to clean and polish my teeth. And, I've never had a dentist do the cleaning before. Dr Zurich and his staff are a pleasure to be around. I was easily able to call them for an initial appointment and once I got there I filled out some necessary paperwork and my daughter and I had our exam, xrays and checkup and cleaning all within about an hour for both of us. I was very surprised when he himself did the cleanings instead of one of his staff. He also saw I needed a little more cleaning and suggested I come back for a deep cleaning. I've had deep cleanings before but when I came back he was very thorough in the deep cleaning. He numbed my gums and went at it. Some pain but a lot of gain...my teeth felt awesome after. Although I felt like Mike Tyson hit me but that's ok since it really was a thorough cleaning. He takes his time and explains everything and best part is he's not pushy on things that you maybe can get but don't need. I know my daughter kinda needs braces but the misalignment is very slight and I think my daughter's teeth look perfect (ok not totally but I'm her dad so I'm allowed to have a bias). Anyways he didn't push the issue and he also didn't push the issue on getting new fillings for my teeth that look nicer than the metallic ones I have now. My insurance paid for the whole visits and his staff took care of everything. Definitely glad I found him and I can finally have a regular dentist who I really like. read more

Dr. Sam is a great guy and a great dentist. He will work with you on cost and always does a great job. He flirts with my wife, which I think is funny. He does the dental work for my whole family for over 6 years now. He is fair and a humorous guy who reminds me a bit of Dr. Doofenshmirtz on Phineas and Ferb. Good with kids over 6 and does good emergency work too. He fixed my wifes cracked tooth, said it would be good for a few months but it's lasted a year longer than he anticipated. read more

Sam Zurich is smoking hot! I used to hope for a toothache so I could come here. Tall Dark Handsome, beautiful teeth, intelligent, extremely personable - what else is there? He also has cool dentist friends. He once referred me to a swanky Naperville specialist, who was also sorta cute. I like the way they roll. Yes, we all know that Sam is also a good dentist and a one man show. He does your cleanings NOT a hygienist, which I LOVE, and he is THOROUGH. His cleanings hurt like Hell, but they are the best. His office is sterile and clean and his coat is white and pressed :). He also gave me fluoride for free once. I just moved and I am dreading finding a new dentist. I also like that Sam isn't a used car salesman dentist. He doesn't try and sale you a bunch of crap treatments you don't need - only the essentials. If you are considering this place for any dental services I suggest you take your hard earned money and run. Dr. Zurich managed somehow to complete 9 FILLINGS (!!!!!!!!), cleaning, full set of x-rays and a consultation in about an hour and 20 minutes. I do not have to be a dentinst to know that this has to be some kind of a Dentistry Guiness World Record. When the entire procedure was complete and I was told how many fillings were done I was shocked beyond comprehension. I guess this place goes for quantity and not quality of its work. I have had root canals before, but the one that Dr. Zurich did was the gentlest and easiest by far. I appreciated that he did it all in one longer visit rather than making me take time off from work on multiple visits because my time is valuable, too. His office staff is very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend Dr. Zurich for any dental work. First off, he is pricier than other dentists I have found in the area, with on par or even better quality. What really prompted us to drop Dr. Zurich was the rough and rude treatment my wife was afforded. She wanted to get some dental work done, and during the first couple of appointment she asked Dr. Zurich quite a few questions on what was wrong and why he was recommending the the treatment plan he was recommending. Instead of answering the questions, Dr. Zurich very brusquely objected to answering my wife's questions saying he felt as if she did not trust him. He then proceeded to walk out on her saying that he would be happy to return the money and close her file and that she was free to go find another doctor. So rude and unprofessional. Please do not go to Dr. Zurich. There are better dentists in the area. read more

Good dentist are very hard to come by, but Dr. Sam is great. Very knowledgable and down to earth at the same time. It is hard to find a dentist that you can trust to do a good job but at the same time make you feel comfortable and Dr. Same does just that! What a wonderful experience. read more

I have been to Dr Zurich several times, he is an excellent dentist. I have had just a couple of other dentists, one was fine, another I had no confidence in, but I feel very confident in Dr Zurich. He seems very skilled and very attentive to any issues I have. I needed a few cavities filled and had some tooth chips. He fixed everything quickly and expertly. I look at my teeth from two perspectives: function/health and cosmetic. I wanted any function/health issues fixed 100%, and then wanted certain cosmetic improvements to the extent the price was reasonable. He filled my cavities and I will go back soon for a crown, plus I ended up getting a number of chipped teeth filled and smoothed and got one of the tooth whitening options he offered. My teeth are vastly improved and my smile is flawless. I feel like he really wants to me to have a healthy, perfect smile and cares as much about my teeth as I do. Also, Dr Zurich does your tooth cleaning himself and uses both the mechanical toothbrush-like tooth polisher and the sandblast-like device. I've never had a dentist do both and my teeth feel ridiculously clean afterwards. Finally, he seems to have state-of-the-art equipment and is a sole practitioner -- you can tell he takes pride in his business and it really makes me feel comfortable. Highly recommended. read more

Dr Zurich and his staff are GREAT! My husband and I just moved to the area and we relied on Yelp to determine who, within our network, we would use for a dentist. We were pleasantly surprised with how great his whole team was. He was very in tune with what would and wouldn't be covered by our insurance and we made a plan based on what we needed done and how much money we had left in insurance. (i.e. I wanted a whitening session and a deep cleaning but when we figured in how many fillings I would need, plus another cleaning before the end of the year, we wouldn't have anything left over for extra things like that) Also, I have to mention my intense fear of needles. Dr Zurich was so great at easing all of my fears and made the process painless for me. He uses the numbing gel before giving the shot in your gums so you don't even feel a thing. In comparing notes with my family back home, there is no numbing gel so you most definitely feel the shot. Dr Z was great with the whole process and he did a great job with both the standard cleaning and fillings. I will not dread going to the dentist as much as I have before because of this experience! read more
