First time her customer service was great!!! Food was really good!! You get to pick whatever you want, the hostess recommended to start with the meat portion and she was not wrong. You can fill the plates how much you want. Both of my kiddos under 5 ate FREE! Great place, Calm place music playing.

Three and a half but giving them an extra 1/2 star because the staff was so helpful, friendly, and engaged with all the customers. Seen The reviews about lack of cleanliness and not sure what or when this was the case because in the day we visited it was clean and tidy. We have never been here in all the years we have lived here and this is better than most other Asian inspired food in the area. The cost for the dinner for two was great and once you figure out the sauce and how to fill your bowls it is a lot of food. We liked the pork the best and it was just a neat process of watching your food being cooked and the "dance" that the cooks do on the flat wok....the place was packed and again the service was absolutely amazing.

They would have 2 bowls like 1 bowl for mixed vegetables & variety meats and another 1 bowl of noodles. They usually have one bowl all the time. They have a good service.

ALWAYS 5 STARS! We come here often and can honestly say it's always a great experience! Marissa is usually our server and she is very attentive and sweet! The food is fantastic every time! We love coming here right when they open and everything is all fresh! I highly recommend coming here for good food and great service!

Our noodle bowls that we conjured up, along with the egg flower soup, white rice, and some potstickers.....don't forget the Diet Pepsi.

I will happily recommend GK Mongolian BBQ to anyone looking for a hearty meal. I was happy to bring my hubby here for the first time for lunch, he is now excited to show it to his adult sons during dinner where it is ALL YOU CAN EAT for $16.95! (Lunch was $14.25 with only one plate) The drinks are extra. They did have alcohol but I am not a beer or wine drinker sooooo this doesn't appeal to me. They did serve PEPSI products- which appeals greatly! The server was extra attentive. Selected a table and got all the goodies lined up on the table while we made our noodle bowls. Speaking of which...let me walk you thru it. When you walk in, you are greeted by the server- he asks how many and your drink order. You go to the food items along the wall to the right upon walking in. There are gloves (use them!) And bowls. You start placing the proteins into your bowl (chicken, pork, and beef are standard- They have shrimp and crab for extra- you will need to ask) then move to the next section with noodles, fruits, and veggie options. Pile on whatever you want. Then round the corner to chose your sauce and seasoning oils, keep laddling until you are content. Now the cook (probably has a fancy name- sorry I don't know) will take your completed bowl & ask if you garlic powder on it while he places it onto the hot stone to cook. Then viola, it will be placed in a bowl and you are good to go eat- be careful, it's hot! For our lunch today there was 2 other tables. It was pretty quiet/chill. There were a couple Togo orders but overall looked consistent. It was a good meal. We will be back. Pro tip- bring some cash for the cook- he has his own little jar.

    Lunch and a show!

Fast forward years later and GK Mongolian BBQ opens in Turlock. My husband tried it when it first opened and did enjoy it but for some reason we never went back. We were in the mood for going out but wanted something quick. We decided to give it a try. We were promptly greeted upon entering and told to go ahead and start our meal prep. Lots of choices of meats and fresh veggies. There are also a lot of sauces to choose from which can be overwhelming. They recommend one scoop of each but I say if you have a preference for certain ones then you do you! It is fun to watch your food be cooked in front of your eyes and presented to you as soon as it is ready. Our food tastes good and was reasonably priced. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. I don't think it will be on our regular rotation because my husband is not a fan of noodles in Asian cuisine but I would still say it's a solid choice.

The restaurant is very clean, well maintained, and has a nice, quiet atmosphere that makes it enjoyable to dine there. The only thing I find frustrating is the bowl policy. You are expected to put everything into a single bowl, whether you choose the small or medium size. As someone who likes to stay organized, I prefer keeping my meats on one side and my vegetables on the other, or sometimes using separate bowls while deciding what I want. Unfortunately, one of the cooks regularly reminds customers that everything has to fit into one bowl, and being corrected in front of other guests can feel a little embarrassing. I completely understand that the restaurant has rules and portion guidelines, but I wish this policy were explained clearly when customers first walk in or posted somewhere visible. That way, people would know what to expect ahead of time instead of being reminded publicly while serving themselves. Overall, this is still a wonderful restaurant with great food, good service, and a clean, pleasant environment. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you know in advance that all of your ingredients need to fit into one bowl.

The sushi was delicious, with favorites like dragon rolls and plenty of sashimi options. The spice levels were good, and the unagi sauce was not overly sweet. Dessert is mostly Jell-O, pudding, and some mini spongy cakes. The mango pudding was a great refresher. Overall, it's a great lunch spot at a decent price!

I feel like I've upgraded from typical Chinese buffets with the weird gelatin cakes from that one specific bakery that distributes said cakes to all these low-level Chinese buffets. But sometimes I gotta return to the trenches! The inside is cute with a lot of booths and Japanese decorations. The center consists of a sushi bar with a functioning boat, chefs making rolls and putting jello onto the little floaties. The back has the standard Americanized Chinese fare. Bonus: there is a "Mongolian BBQ" station where a cook will stir fry your creation. Pricing is pretty decent considering there is more than just the hot trays of Chinese. The food itself was pretty OK. Sushi is basic to below average with huge 65-35 rice proportions, so get ready to be full fast. The sushi chefs also focused on saucy rolls vs nigiri. Because there is seating around the sushi boat, it was funny witnessing socially-unaware people go up behind people sitting there to grab a plate even though there was a huge space at the end of the island without seating to avoid this. Anyways, we ate a bunch to get our money's worth and could cross this off the list to never have to go again.

Walking in on a Saturday afternoon (it was almost 3PM when we entered), you're met with a check-in counter. The inside is decorated much like a typical Chinese restaurant: round tables w a lazy susan, dark moody carpet, and infrastructure/roof tiling on the back wall that makes it look like we're dining right outside a traditional cafe in China. We were quickly seated and brought a regular menu and a dim sum menu. I liked that the dim sum menu contained pictures for easy point and order. But instead of pointing like a normal person, I brought out my broken Canto to order and I think I impressed uncle enough to get a complimentary bowl of egg flower soup lol. We ended up ordering: - Orange chicken lunch special: this comes with white rice or you can upgrade to fried rice or chow mein for an extra dollar. SO upgraded to chow mein and the plate that came out was HUGE. Was not expecting such a large portion, but I am not complaining at all. The chicken was sauced perfectly and he said the noodles were aight. - Ha gow (shrimp dumpling): these had thicker wrapping, but the dumplings themselves were stuffed. Good flavor - Shu mai (pork and shrimp dumpling): meaty, yummy. The skins sorta stuck to the bottom container though - Fong zhao (chicken feet): super delicious, but only came with 3 measly claws - Ham sui gok (fried glutinous rice pork dumpling): fried mochi goodness with delicious meat filling (even if the filling was a little sparse) - Gou choy gow (chive dumpling): my personal favorite dim sum dish; the one here was not my favorite, but it did its job. - Salt and pepper pork spareribs: we ordered this as an alternative when they told me they were out of their pineapple custard bun (bolo bao)... don't ask me how I went from dessert to this, but I liked it. The meat was kinda thin, but the flavor was there. We happened to have our meal right when the staff was having theirs right behind us. So by the time we were ready for the check, we kind of sat around waiting for someone to check on us. Our total came to about $60. I noticed that 2 of the dim sum dishes were marked as "large", at about $6.10 per dish. I wish this was posted on the dim sum menu somewhere... I only saw the $5.50 price tag. Overall, Dynasty Garden nostalgically reminds me of home, so I would definitely return.

The bottom level had some tables that were put together to make a large table and maybe 3 other tables. They asked if we wanted to sit upstairs and I said it was fine and up there there was about four tables. I was ready to give this place 5 stars, but I did take a star off first service. When we were sat and asked what we wanted to drink and I started with my drink first and then I ordered for my daughters, the waitress asked me again what I wanted and I was confused. I told her again and then she went on her way. When it came to ordering, I asked for the chicken wing appetizer, pork chow fun and a large #1 pho with two small bowls, so that we could share. After I ordered, she asked me what size pho I wanted. Our drinks arrived, but my 10-year-olds drink was a lot larger than the other drinks we had ordered, which we weren't expecting. The chicken wings came first. We ordered them mild and I will tell you, those were some of the best chicken wings I've ever had...the sauce is sweet, the wings are crisp, but still moist. Definitely will go back and try this in a medium level. The pork chow fun looked a little bit different than what I was used to, but it tasted pretty good. It came with cabbage, broccoli, cilantro and a few other vegetables. The pho came out and the broth smelled really good and I started adding my sauces, but then realize that we did not receive a plate with any of the vegetables. Being seated upstairs, it's really hard to get the attention of your server who is downstairs. When she finally came upstairs, I told her we did not receive any of the vegetables and she went down and brought us a plate that had 3 slices of jalapeno, a pile of bean sprouts and one lime for the 3 of us. No basil whatsoever. At that point I didn't want to ask for anything else, so I let it go. A different server came upstairs and told us to take our time and had placed the bill on the table and I asked for some to go containers, she brought it promptly and then the other server had come and asked if we needed boxes when the boxes and the bag were already sitting on the corner of the table. We will definitely go back in give it another go and hopefully the service is a little bit better because I would love to give this place a 5 star review.

We called in an order for pick up, when I got there 15 minutes later it was ready and waiting. The 2 combo plates probably weighed 4 lbs in the bag. I honestly have no idea but it was hefty. The gentleman who helped me was also very nice and prompt. Unfortunately, the food was pretty lackluster. My orange chicken was miles away from crispy and the sauce was kind of bland. Also the chicken itself had that gross old chicken flavor that usually only comes from reheated chicken. The chow mein was also pretty bland. They did give chili sauce and soy sauce with the order, and adding those 2 things in spades did help with the lack of flavor. The cheese puffs were also disappointing. There was a good amount of crab in them, which is unusual for cheese puffs, however, the wrapper was thick and not crispy at all, mostly chewy, so all the enjoyable texture you expect wasn't there. My spouse had a combo with fried rice, beef & broccoli, and fried prawns. He liked it well enough but agreed it was pretty mediocre. The fried rice was pretty good but the beef & broccoli left a lot to be desired. In spite of the so so food, it's such a great price that it may be worth it to you. If you need a lot of food for not a lot of money, and you don't have high quality standards, this place will definitely take care of you.
