I like this mountain restaurant. Closed to Jersey cream express chairs (not my favorites run) but better than Crystal Hut to hangouts.

I…read moredidn't catch the names of all the people but once again, we got lucky and Laura from Ireland was our server and I would like to confirm "best server ever". Tonight we ordered the Hamachi Crudo, along with a couple of pounds of the freshest Dungeness Crab with Louie sauce, and we closed the night with Sticky Toffee Pudding. My amazing wife had never experienced this dessert so I talked her into it. I had an espresso as well. The hamachi crudo was tender and oh so fresh and kind of melting in our mouths. The crab was mind blowing fresh sweet prepared exceptionally, and I couldn't decide if I liked it just poached with no butter or Louie but both ways was so good! My wife's response to the sticky toffee was that she thanked me for insisting that we ordered it, and that when we come back to Whistler, Wild Blue is the first stop for killer food, and top of class service. Great place, amazing vice and ambiance. Just a fun experience!!!

The sourdough bread was excellent, the salad and soup of the day were both good, and dessert was excellent. I had planned to add scallops to my risotto based on the server's suggestion, but they were out of scallops, so I added prawns instead, which were very good. The only reason this is more of a 4.5-star experience for me is the noise level. The acoustics made the restaurant very, very loud, and we could hardly talk during our meal. I found myself eager to finish simply so we could get out of the noise. Everything else was wonderful, and I will click 5 stars because the food, presentation, and service absolutely deserve it. Sadly, I'm not likely to return because of the loud environment, but for guests who aren't bothered by noise, Wild Blue offers a truly lovely dining experience.

Bar Oso is our favorite Bar Restaurant in Whistler. Never missed visiting here…read more What we tried this time: Beef Tartare - Tenderloin , Capers, Shallots, truffle dressing - Beef was so tender, I could definitely taste truffle dressing , beef, capers dressing flavor paired wonderfully. Very delicious dish. Organic Chicken Empanada - Pisto of vegetable, romesco sauce. - Dough was very flaky, filling had generous amount of chicken and vegetable. Very popular menu, I noticed a lot of customers ordered. Charcuterie board CAD59.00 - Highlight of dinner. The largest charcuterie board including cheese meat, pickles and pate. I forgot to write down the type of cheese and meats, eveything was delicious. Especially the level of saltiness was well balanced. Perfect. Pate was excellent, too. One of the best charcuterie I have ever had. Highly recommend. We also started with several beers and I had non alcohol drink - Espresito - Non Amaretto, noa amaro, houjicha tea and espresso cream. - This drink was one of the best non alcohol cocktail. Houjicha and non amaretto paired surprisingly so well and that espresso cream was so addictive. This item is also highly recommend. Overall, We really enjoyed visiting here again. Service was excellent.

Our server was absolutely amazing, so warm, attentive, and lovely throughout the evening. The food was truly exceptional. I had been eyeing the halibut, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly cooked and full of depth and flavours. Every bite was delicious, and I was genuinely impressed. The soup was amazing too The dessert deserves a special shout-out as well. The lemon tart was absolutely incredible and left us wanting more. I also loved that we were treated to little complimentary nibbles, and the pastry department is clearly incredibly talented. Araxi is definitely on the expensive side, but it's an exceptional fine dining restaurant and well worth it for a special occasion or memorable experience. If you're looking to treat someone special or celebrate an important moment, Araxi is the place to go in Whistler. You'll leave feeling completely satisfied after an outstanding meal, and you'll probably be thinking about it for a long time afterward. Highly recommend! I'm still wowed by it

They also had a Halloween cocktail list. The hostess was friendly, but our server killed our experience. Her words were friendly but her facial expressions and body language revealed how much she disliked serving us. My husband and I spoke after, we both felt she was probably racist. Their happy hour menu had a big selection of food items but no drinks. Everything was pretty expensive for happy hour. We tried the raw Albertan elk tartare and potato puffs. We enjoyed both dishes and the portions were big. As much as we enjoyed the food, we probably won't return due to the slow and uncomfortable service.

Though the restaurant was largely empty when we arrived, we were sat at a booth that at best sat 4 and was not enough for the 5 in our group. We tend to eat lots of appetizers rather than one big meal so I knew the table would not work - we asked to be moved and the server was quite confrontational - she eventually agreed to move us to one of two larger tables that was available the whole time we were there! But it was a weird start and had we not already ordered drinks and it been a Saturday night with most places booked - I would have walked as I don't ever recall been talked to like that in a restaurant and my guess is they moved us in time to stop us leaving. She also told us that she would stagger courses appropriately- that never happened. Pretty much everything arrived at once which I wondered if it was an attempt to flip the table quickly for other large parties - who were not exactly lining up in abundance. The other large table sat empty even after we left. It arrived so, so fast I would guess that a lot of it was pre prepared and just heated up as multiple plates were brought out less than 10 minutes of ordering. Also most of the appetizers and salad arrived last so they seemingly did not know or care to course appropriately. We also ended up stacking dishes at the end of the table as they were not removed- though to be fair, they appeared to be woefully understaffed . Food had some hits and some misses .The meat eaters loved the chicken, the shishito peppers were excellent, , watermelon salad was good, potatoes croquettes were a shadow of their former selves and needed more flavor , mussels were okay and the Creme brûlée was gritty! Weird vibe, mediocre service, food was just okay - much better places to eat in the Village so I wont go back.
