We are so incredibly impressed with the friendliness and politeness of this coffee shop! First time here today. We are seniors. We wanted coffee and we needed to use the restroom. Planned on ordering inside, but when we opened the door, they said drive-thru only; they were in the middle of renovation. We asked if we could please use the restroom then we would order through drive-thru. A lady employee was so kind and let us use the restroom! Then we went in the drive-thru line and didn't notice the ordering machine on the other side of the shop. When we got to the window, the sweet girl said we were supposed to order at the machine! But she took our order and money anyway and told us "no problem", and said to just pull ahead and someone would bring our order to us. This kind young man traipsed through the landscape and brought our order to our car window. Coffee was good, but the staff was a breath of fresh air! I really hope the manager reads this. read more

Very unique and amazing food choices. My order is always accurate. The only issue is that I don't think they'll ever open their dining area.

Normally I love Gladly but today my experience has been disappointing. I ordered multiple items of food and drink as well as a bag of whole beans to take home. When I got home, the coffee beans were not in the bag that I was given, so I paid for them but never received them. I've called the number listed on this yelp page multiple times and no one has answered, nor is there an option to leave a message. I guess it's on me for not checking the contents of my bag. read more

I love this place. You get to the drive through speaker and the most chipper gentleman greets you. He will just put you in a good mood. Usually I get a soy latte with 2 pumps vanilla. Their coffee is much stronger than Starbucks. Also their breakfast sandwiches are delicious. And for lunch, the bacon turkey jack sandwich in an everything bagel is amazing! I'm writing this review because I'm SOOOO mad. I'm mad that I've lived down the street for almost 3 years and have been sleeping on this coffee shop. 1. I'm a real coffee drinking not Starbucks 2. I got the bees knees and it was tasty. Espresso shots were perfectly made, not too bitter like Starbucks does it. 3. The man who took my order was was super sweet. Best coffee shop this side of the 8, hands down!! Starbucks prices, but better tasting everything and excellent service! There's a drive up window BUT the inside is so cute, open and always playing trendy music! Perfect spot for studying, meeting a client, or a quick bite and beverage. I usually come after the gym in the morning.. when the line is empty! Although, I haven't had an issue with the place ever being over crowded. My go-to: bacon turkey jack! Yoooo! This bagel sandwich will change your life as it's super filling and every ingredient is fresh! Sometimes I even splurge and get the chipotle sauce for that extra spice. The definition of 'neighborhood coffee shop', it has everything you're looking for when avoiding those big name shops: short lines, plenty of space for work/study/relaxing....and oh yeah, good coffee! The avocado toast is a disaster. Nothing good about it. They use a guacamole spread instead of actual avocados, and the spread lacks flavor and is dark brown in color. I added an egg for topping and what I received was strips of pre-cooked scrambled egg across the toast. I had to dig deep and persevere to eat just half of it. This was a very disappointing experience. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say this is the worst possible avocado toast you could ever have, if you can even muster up the conscience to call it avocado toast. Gladly? Stopped by post errands & got a black drip & açaí bowl. The only have the drive thru open right now, which I later found out is because they're renovating the inside which is cool & I will eagerly wait to be able to enjoy a coffee inside. The barista who took our order was very patient while we took our time going through the menu. The drip coffee was honestly fire. I don't know where they get their beans from, but hold drip coffee to a higher standard & they exceeded that. The açaí bowl is well worth it as well. I think I saw that they used açaí roots which is one of the best tasting açaí brands out there. The topping selections are also nice. I will definitely be back & hopefully get to enjoy the comfort of the renovations. read more

I used to think the customer service was so great here but within the last week I had an encounter with two impatient employees. Everytime I go I spend at least $20 on 2 drinks and a maybe a sandwich. I like their drinks and food but I hope they go back to their kind and friendly customer service. Avoid this place. Why do they forget the customers are the ones paying their bills? You would think ppl who choose to be in the service industry would be more personable. Off the top of my head could think of 7-8 coffee shops nearby that have way better customer service. Never fail to get an attitude when I'm ordering here. I could simply make an order off the app from Starbucks which is right down the block, walk in, and pick it up without having to deal with people who look and act like they hate their life. Lol. I have a small business so I know it doesn't hurt to show a little gratitude to your customers, or show an ounce of politeness. Which I've never received here. I`ll start out by saying that I love independent coffee shops, so when I went home to San Diego for the weekend, I was excited to try this place out instead of the usual coffee chain. Now, I lived in San Diego at a time when this was not a coffee shop, but instead a funeral home. Yes, you read that right: funeral home. Now it is a coffee shop. This does not bother me. In fact, it delights me for some strange reason(probably because I am legit a weirdo). My mom had refused to set foot in this coffee shop until I expressed interest in grabbing a drink here and then she was curious. She still lives in this area and still remembers it as the place where bodies go. Some light coaxing has given her a fresh new perspective on the use of the space, though. Now, onto the good part: the caffeine that will hit your system. I love coffee, tea, custom drinks, pastries, and the overall act of grabbing my fix at a coffee shop. This place is cute, clean, and convenient(hello drive thru that isn`t Starbucks). The employees are friendly and accommodating. They have standard coffee shop drinks, but also some interesting twists on drinks that I`m curious to try next time I`m in town. I saw an Horchata latte on the menu(WHAT?! I need this). They have coffees, teas, smoothies, hot chocolates, pastries, breakfast foods, etc. I ordered my go to iced dirty chai on this particular visit and it was tasty. Not too sweet, which is perfect for me. The counter lady was friendly and the barista brought my drink to the table I was at, which was nice. Overall, a good experience. The Wednesday Addams that lives inside of me is pleased with this coffin turned coffee shop. read more

Came here twice and definitely will come back. Love the add in flavors, especially toffee that isn't a common flavor at coffee spots. Last time had a frappe and was delicious. Haven't had a drink I didn't like here yet. On this last visit had their 12 hour drip for a stronger drink. It does this trick without the aggressive acidic taste. Love it. This place is roomy so great for studying or meeting up with a friend. Staff is friendly and able to tow that line between friendly but not intrusive and helpful but able to give you space if you need a minute to read the menu. Definitely going to throw this place into rotation for study spots when I'm in town. Before I thought I had to drive far to get good coffee and study place, but not anymore. read more

New customer here! It's an interesting time to get to know your barista (trough a mask) yet they all seem like they own the place! Nice smiles and cheerful and appear to be happy to see you! I have used both the drive through and sat inside. My sweet of choice is the Mocha, which is lovely! They claim to have a stamp card, yet they have not had one since I started coming a few weeks ago. They do put a punch on your receipt and you can collect them and bring them back- I have lost most I will give it a few weeks and return. I like collecting my stamps! read more

This place is so great to have near. My wife and I absolutely love their coffee options...I'm all about their blended menu. They offer a punch card which comes in handy for those who can't resist this place, free never hurts. Today I went to get some from coffee for the first time from here. Well, I realized that I had left my wallet back at home after ordering and getting to the window. The team member who was helping me said it was no problem and they would hold my order. It took over 30 minutes to go get the wallet and come back (due to California rain). When I got there I also had to add another coffee. The team was super gracious and remained super patient and cool with me even though it was a super complicated order.
