Came here for a much needed pedicure. The lady helping me was good not great. She recommended the second package for my pedicure but I went with the basic one. She was good didn't not hurt me at all. The place is well lit and they are welcoming. I think many customers (ladies) are not accustom to seeing a lot of guys there by themselves. They have some sort of rewards program which I didn't sign up for. I would visit this place again if I'm in the area.

Amazing experience the ladies are so nice and my nails and toes came out perfect! Thank you so much I'll be back soon!

I came here and I made an appointment through this app. My appointment was at 9:30. They were late. They didn't open up until 945 when I got there, I waited 10 minutes before they started on me. What's the use of having an appointment , that lady" Sandy did my toenails and she keeps on changing the price on me very rude. Poor customer service. I will never come back to this place again. She did a terrible job. She kept on telling me five dollars then $10 this she just keeps on upping the prices on everything but I do have to say the lady that did my nails my full set. She was very nice so I gave her a big tip. This is how you gonna lose your customers. You can't keep on changing the prices on somebody else comes in. It's cheaper but yeah, very bad customer service. I will never come back to this place again. Sandy needs an attitude adjustment.

I got a pedicure from Hana! Very friendly and sweet. She didn't rush like some other places and made sure to take her time. All in all, great experience.

Update: I haven't had time to post an update since I'm pretty busy. I talked to the owners husband, who was the one that responded below and at first they didn't apologize, just tried to justify what the nail tech did. It's okay to drill off product but not drill into people's nail beds, then they started to get apologetic. Please go somewhere else, Gelly Nails is a new nail place in La habra and I went there after and she took care of my nails really well. I came here for gel removal and manicure with no color for my job and the lady completely ruined my natural nail bed! I'm so sad because I spent a long time growing these nails and she just butchered them with her drill. I should have spoken up about her doing a proper soak off but that's my fault. This is what I get though. My nails are paper thin and now they are so sensitive. They don't care about your nails unless you're doing something expensive. read more

My nails are absolutely perfect! Exactly what I wanted and exactly like the picture! Hana was so patient and attentive, she is so good!!! The whole vibe was welcoming and clean. Plus it's Christmas Eve and they did everything to accommodate everyone in there and work efficiently. This is my third time at this salon and every time I have been satisfied with my nails. Today, Sandy did my gel manicure and she paid close attention to what I asked for, and gave advice on how to best handle my nails (some had broken, and in general were very weak) without being pushy or trying to upsell my in anyway. This nail salon recently opened in early 2023. It was recommended to me by a friend who goes to their other location. It sure is a diamond within many nail salons in Whittier. When you have an appointment they are able to take you on time, and while they are quick to finish, the end result is always great! read more

Wow I am loving this new place!!!! I went in on a random day and luckily they were able to seat me right away! I always get the same thing. Gel mani and gel pedi and it was so relaxing. I believe they just opened up so everything so so clean and sparkly new. The new owner is name Hana and she is so sweet and funny. She's a very hard worker and is amazing at customer service! The gel mani/pedi was very luxurious and I felt like a new woman after. This is going to be my new favorite nail place! I love it here!!! 10/10 amazing place read more

This was my first time here. Service not bad at all, they treated me well from that perspective. However, I won't be going back, they left a bad taste in my mouth.. I feel like I was intentionally overcharged. I didn't complain about anything or ask for anything extra. They charged me extra $15 for gel mani, but they charged an additional $15 for gel pedi. An extra $30 just for the gel. I actually questioned it but then just left and as I was driving home I thought about again just because it wasn't sitting well and I left a tip. I have no issues paying for a service I requested, that wasn't the point so I reviewed the website and it says an additional $15 for gel. Meaning it should be for both mani and mani. Which sounds about right compared to other nail salons. Didn't know gratuity was already added, it wasn't disclosed. read more

First time coming here, I really like the atmosphere. I came for a pedi and it was just okay. The tech was about to paint my toe nails when I asked her if she was going to at least clean the cuticles. She gave me RBF and was very bothered that I asked. She did it in a rush with a very poor attitude. I was in & out in 20min I felt no care in what they did for me. Not sure if I will return... what she did I could have just done it myself and saved some $$ oh and there was no one hear waiting. read more

Great place! Super clean, and very nice staff. The nail technician was super detailed and made sure I approved of each nail shape and length as he went along. No nicks or cuts during the process which is hard to come by!!! Got a new gel technique called T.A.P Hybrid Gel, highly recommend if you have brittle nails, or tend to bite them like I do. It feels sturdy but lightweight on my nails and no harsh chemicals like acrylic has. read more

What a disappointing visit today. I've been to this place 5 times. Just your typical nail salon, nothing different or special. The first few visits were ok. On my 4th visit I was overcharged 8 dollars based on their menu and the services I received. No big deal. I went in today for a gel manicure and a kids pedicure. The lady working on me left half way through my gel manicure to start on my daughter and a man continued my manicure. Well, he was rushing through it and I kept telling to fix spots and he just blew me off every single time. A group of ladies came in and my daughter and I couldn't have been pushed out any faster. My daughter pedi was ruined because it was still very much wet, but because the pedicure chairs were needed, she was rushed off. My manicure is uneven and my daughter's pedicure is ruined. And again, at checkout I was being overcharged $5 dollars and the lady played it off but this time I was like no, I made sure before checking out. Be careful being overcharged and if you're coming in and it gets busy, be prepared to be pushed out the door. read more

They honestly resembled a drugstore strip lash rather than a customized volume set. I called the salon and was told they could fix them. Unfortunately, the same technician ( ivy) worked on me again. She appeared defensive and, at one point, spoke to a colleague in another language during the appointment. While I want to assume she was asking for help, the lack of transparency made me uncomfortable and unsure of what was being said. After the "fix," the lashes looked even worse -- very heavy and spiky, giving a tarantula-like appearance. When I expressed concern, I was told this was the "doll look," and that the reference photo I showed (from the company's own website) was different because it was a cat-eye shape and the model had different eyes. This was confusing, as I've had similar styles done successfully by other lash technicians in the past. Overall, it was disappointing to see lash styles advertised that the technician didn't seem comfortable or experienced executing, and even more disappointing that this wasn't acknowledged. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

My second experience here is where it all went downhill. I got a dermaplane facial and requested a…read moredermabrasion as well. The technician informed me that the dermabrasion would be too much exfoliation since the derma plane is exfoliating as well. However, she still recommended doing a chemical peel and because I'm not that educated in skin treatments I proceeded with her recommendation. About a week later after my facial, I I noticed 2 burn marks on my face, which I assumed were from the chemical peel. While one healed, one has still not gone away, and this is a facial I received late in December 2025. I went back a month later and asked the technician(different one) what the mark was. She said it was like acne post mark because of too much exfoliation with both the dermaplane and chemical peel . She said it should fade away and recommended me one of their expensive skin resurfacing products. I did not buy it and this was my last visit here. 3 months later, I still have this mark on my face so I have an appointment with the dermatologist soon. I would still recommend this place for maybe the basic $70 facial, it's pretty cheap and worth the money. I do not recommend any other special services because it seems some of the technicians may not be as educated and it's not worth messing up your skin.

Walking into Onyx completely changed my expectations. Tyn is truly one of a kind. Where do I even begin? He treats every client with genuine respect and gives 110% every single appointment. One thing that really stuck with me was seeing him work on his own birthday. Instead of taking the day off, he came in with a smile, took care of his clients, and made sure everyone left happy. That says a lot about the kind of person and professional he is. He's also a perfectionist in the best way possible. He constantly checks in throughout the appointment, asking if you love your nails. If something isn't exactly how you envisioned it, he'll gladly fix it until you're completely happy. He truly stands behind his work. A few months ago, I injured my hands and thought my natural nails were beyond saving. Tyn suggested switching to builder gel and simply told me, "Trust the process." I'm so glad I listened. Three months later, my natural nails are healthier and stronger than they've ever been. I used to be one of those "every two weeks" girls, but he always laughs and tells me, "Come on, I love you, but two weeks is too soon!" That's just how well his work holds up. The salon itself is always spotless, welcoming, and relaxing. The music is always on point, the sangria is a nice little treat, and every appointment honestly feels like a mini vacation instead of just another nail appointment. Everyone at Onyx is wonderful, but I also have to give a special shout-out to Myly Cyrus. She's the sweetest "cute auntie" and the absolute best when it comes to ingrown nail removal. When I came the second time for the refill the person stated that I could not do a refill and that instead I needed to do a completely new set. I am upset that the nail tech lied to me. Never coming to this place again I do not like when the nail tech told me one thing and then charged differently. It is a very predatory tactic. Highly disappointed with my experience. Also for me they put something on my feet and it burned. One of my toes was left with a burn mark. The nail tech also didn't really understand English so it took her awhile to take off the product so I had to dip my foot inside so I wouldn't burn the rest of my toes.
