I would recommend this business if you need a window screen replaced. I did get quotes from a few mobile service companies, but the lowest had a minimum of $75. If I had more than one screen to fix, perhaps I would've opted for the mobile companies. But, since I'm a fan of saving as much money as I can, I went here instead. The shop is near the corner of Palm Ave. and 16th St. There was plenty of street parking in front of the store when I went in at around 10 on a Friday morning. I walked in and there was an associate helping another customer. She acknowledged me and said she would be with me shortly. After a few minutes, she finished up with her customer and asked how she could help me. I showed her my window frame. She took measurements and quoted me a price. I only paid about a third of what the mobile companies wanted. She gave me a receipt and said that it would be ready in 1-3 days. I was in no hurry, so I was fine with that. I went on with my day and went home, but they ended up calling me at 2:30pm to say it was ready! Great service, and great price. read more

My experience with the company has been terrible. They have no customer services and were no help to me. My husband and I meet with Carlos and he asked what was our budget. I answered $1000 more or less but would like a quote and some ideas. Carlos responded by saying "I wouldn't get out of bed for that!". My husband asked if he could recommend someone, Carlos responded, "the guys outside Home Depot could probably do it!" I always believed in helping out our local businesses but this time I was wrong. Carlos and his team saved the day when our gardener accidentally broke our sliding glass window. It was double-paned and not a standard size -of course. Another company came out on the weekend and said they could not do it as it was not a standard width. I was panicked! Not easy to find people available these days! Our handyman recommended Whattheglass.com. Carlos, the owner, had someone out same-day on Monday, who scraped off and cleaned up the broken glass so we could use our door again, and then measured and ordered a replacement. We went into glass and window solutions and I spoke to a woman there who said Carlos will give me a call and possibly come out and measure for a quote, Needless to say I never received a call from carlos. They were here for a couple hours to get it installed. They were not forceful in the sales process either which was amazing as I was expecting a hard sales pitch on the glass and service. While shopping for blinds, I was told that I would have to go into store to pick out material and buy blinds and then they would come out and measure. Most companies come to you and measure and show examples and then provide a price. I went to store because I like to support local and live very close by. Carlos waited on me and made me feel the whole time that I couldn't afford his products and he was wasting his time. I work in construction and I guess I didn't look high class enough? He said he would call me with a price later that afternoon but did not. I called store the next afternoon and was told he was with a customer but would call me in 5 to 10 minutes. No call back. Next day, I call again, I am given a price of $1200 more than a competitor. I should clarify, this blind is for outdoors on my covered patio and his price did not include installation which is a minimum of $250 per blind (per Carlos). read more
