We sat with four companies, and Leo sold us on the history of Rusco, quality of craftsmanship and lifetime warranty. We started the process at the start of Sept. and our door was up at the start of Nov. With the cost of the door north of $6K, I was really expecting the contractors to do a seamless job, but that is where Rusco fell short. They were VERY quick to install and during the process chipped our new railing. I understand they were working in a small space, but it couldn't have been the first time working in such a confined location. After they left, the doorframe was not what I had expected in terms of high quality work. I would think they would have enough stain to spare for the ends of the top of the frame (I brought this up to the contractors and they said they didn't have any stain left). There is also white coming through the top doorframe. I reached out to Leo and he told me to wipe it with a wet towel (which obviously already tried prior to reaching out). They assumed it was sheet rock and thought it was dust. The wet cloth did nothing...Leo called on 11/11 and asked if he and another guy could stop by, which they did on that day. The first thing they tried to do was wipe it with a wet cloth (again had already tried that) and then nothing. They were perplexed and said they'd come back the following week with stain and fix it up. It has been radio silence since this moment. Overall, we really do love our door. It is beautiful, but we could have received the same exact door from a number of other companies and we have some regrets with selecting Rusco. After paying the money we have, we should not have to chase and we feel the job should have been completed seamlessly. You live and you learn.

He told us about a product to get rid of it until we were able to have our new windows installed throughout our house. He also has more insight about the look and age of our home, and which windows would look best with the way the home was built! We didn't want casement windows, so other company's measured and quoted us for the slide up or down windows and didn't bother showing us another option. Mike was able to keep our home with full view windows so we don't lose the look of our home having a full view to the outside. Their product is amazing and love the heat demonstration he showed us (my kids loved it!) with the different levels of energy efficiency the windows will have. Not only argon but krypton in the windows. No other company showed me that demonstration and he said he will be there on install with his lamp proving his product has every level of efficiency he promised. Other companies said they would put this or that in the window, but you never know, and another didn't even mention the efficiency. Thanks again Mike!!

Feldco did our windows so when the "June Free Installation" commercials appeared, we called them. The salesman knew the product and did not try to weasel us into buying a bunch of stuff we didn't need or want. 6-8 week lead time on delivery (actually only about 5 weeks). Immediate appointment for install. Installer showed up a little early (Yippee). BTW, returning customers get some significant rewards. He removed the screen door; removed the old door, frame and locks. Installed the new frame and door and reinstalled the screen door. This guy was wonderful, super clean and put up plastic sheeting (no damage to walls) inside to keep all the mess in the foyer. Spotless cleanup inside and out. He did everything but scrub the floor. He hauled away the old door, frame and all packaging. Very polite, nice man. Wonderful experience!

Update January 2026:…read more Called once again for a simple draft issue. Immediately they start talking about replacing all of the windows. The problem is simply the 3/16" fur weatherstrips becoming matted from use over the years and needing to be replaced. They just slide out and you insert a new strip. The strips are literally $10 for 25 feet or $30 for 100 feet if you buy in bulk...Feldco wants to charge thousands of dollars to replace entire windows when the weatherstripping on the entire floor (7 windows) would be under $60 and take maybe an hour to do. Record keeping also may not be not up to par as they seem to be missing records for the building. They are beyond greedy and prey on customer's ignorance. Avoid them like the plague.

They had to come back several times, but they did come back, which is the real point. They came back consistently until everything was made right, and worked with me to ensure I was satisfied with the end result. The real stars of our experience were Tim in sales; Latoya in scheduling; and Steve, who's job I don't exactly know, but likely a supervisor. Not everything can always go according to plan, but I'll put my money with companies that make things right in the end.

First, the salesman gave us a brochure talking about how careful they are when handling old windows, as there is a danger of lead paint. Just charged up and hammered the window out from the outside, which left debris all over the inside of the house I called Feldco immediately complaining, and asking him to stop and send someone else. The person on the phone only cared about one thing - getting the project done right then and there so they could charge me for it. They had a great old time giving me lies over the phone and convincing me the cleaning would be taken care of - they even sent out someone for a different project to say everything will be totally fine etc. I gave the go ahead to finish the project and when I called them asking about the cleanup that was promised by the person on the telephone and the person who came to the house - they literally laughed at me and said they don't do such a thing. This was actually hilarious to them. The windows are bad quality. One window grows frost in the winter, and another is near impossible to open or close - but I will never call this atrocious lying scamming company again.
