I have sat in Kaitlyn's chair for over 3 years now, and so happy I made the change when I did. She has transformed my nails. I am a previous nail biter and always required tips and overlays with each nail appointment in order to achieve the results and length I wanted. The con of both was my nails were always so weak and brittle and would constantly break. Kaitlyn's technique has made me retire my old habits. My nails have never been stronger. Highly recommend any of the ladies at Glaze Nails Lounge. The salon is always clean, smells fresh & so festive! Literally the cutest seasonal decorations. I've had my nails done by both Kaitlyn and Miranda. Kaitlyn is such a sweetheart and talented artist! I'm so indecisive when it comes to colors or designs. She always has my back and gets my style. Constantly delivering the cutest sets. Miranda is so funny and sharp. She also blesses me up with fun nails that keep me confident. Glaze is a text to book salon which I appreciate. This is legitimately the worst manicure I got. I even asked to get my thumbs fixed but the "tech" just ignored me and said the gel was faulty but it only happened in my thumbs??? I did not see clean anything that she used, she in fact grabbed several things from the adjacent desk while the other tech was not there not knowing if they are clean or not. She got hard gel on the table and all over my fingers and then tried to clean it up with a paper towel that was dry covering my hands in gel and lint. Watching her shape my nails was the first red flag but I figured I would trust the process. It was embarrassing to have this nails for my upcoming trip, I was leaving the day after so I could not even ask to go back to fix. read more

I got my nails done here a few months ago (yes im barely getting around to this review, ive been busy) and as a first time customer, the service was not the best. I got there a few minutes before I was scheduled, and when I walked in, no one greeted me as they all had clients at their stations. I was confused on if I should just sit down, if I had to check in with someone and let them know I was here..I had no direction. So of course I just sat down out of awkwardness. I waited seated for several minutes before one of the girls (I believe it was Dez) finally spoke up from her station and asked if I wanted a water or any other complimentary drinks. Time goes by and I FINALLY get acknowledged by someone else, and this would be the person doing my nails (owner Kaitlyn). After that I mean it was basic nail stuff like what design I wanted, how long, what shape, etc. I personally didn't feel i clicked with Kaitlyn and even felt a little uncomfortable being in her chair. The conversation felt forced and like she didn't even want to be doing my nails or be there in general. At the end of it, I wasn't happy with my nails. The shape of the nails were wonky and I had one thumb nail that had a huge lump (I can't even call it an apex...there was legitimately just too much polish it looked like I had a sore thumb or something.) And to top it off, my color started chipping off within a week. I paid $85 for something I could have done myself at home. Im not angry at this place, just disappointed overall and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. read more

Wonderful person, Worst nail job in history. She was rough, sped through the whole appointment like I was taking up her time or something. I left with gel embedded in the corner of my thumbnail, and was worried about it getting infected. The top coat of my other thumbnail peeled off because the layer underneath wasn't cured all the way. The nails were angled upward, some were crooked, some were very bumpy. We had a wonderful conversation, but frankly that was the only good thing about the whole experience. I payed $65. I can get a full set and a pedicure at most salons for $65. What a horrible mistake I made by trusting these reviews. read more

I love how she's efficient and gets you in and out of the salon in ~30 minutes, which is great because sometimes you don't feel like sitting around for an hour. Kaitlyn is fantastic at what she does. I've been coming regularly since August and have not regretted it for a minute. Her manicures are insanely high quality at a really competitive rate. Plus, she offers student discounts which is awesome. Add to that her loyalty punch card and I don't think you'll find a better deal for the quality in town. Kaitlyn offers tons of colors and add-ones and I'm always trying new shades, new nail art, and changing my nail shape regularly. Guys! Kaitlyn is so great! She's super fast and really lovely. She's "gel exclusive". So there is a vast selection of colors, pigments, and so much to choose from. The shellac stays on forever!!! Seriously... I'm on week three and half-ish and I deal with license plates on a daily and I have no chips whatsoever! You can book via social media and she posts her available appointments often. She only works through appointments and books fast so make sure you give yourself time to set up a date. read more

I always get my nails done with kaitlyn in SA. She was voted SA Current's best nail salon. Her shellac manis always last FOREVER and she also has mood nail color that changes color in different temperatures. She is also really fast and does a really great job shaping your nails so they all look even and pretty. I'm in and out within 30 min every time. Also, if you're a student, she does 15% off with student ID every time you come in, which I think is really awesome and considerate, so a shellac mani is usually $35 but with a discount it's just under $30. My only complaint is that sometimes I wish she spent a bit more time cleaning my cuticles and one time I came out with some bubbles in my nails. But if you're looking for a long lasting mani I would definitely recommend. She is by appointment only and she can get booked up pretty fast! read more

Which is why I choose to go w/ Kaitlyn a little over 2 years ago. This place is exceptional in service, technique, and only uses high end products.
