This is a proper bar. Not a dive or not a hole in the wall but a proper bar. Popped in for a nightcap and the barman was on point. Great service great attitude and a top notch work ethic. Evan made my experience exactly everything I would come to expect from a good quality bar. Top marks

Cash only dive bar. Outdoor seating available but no heat lamps. It's a low key neighborhood bar with a good vibe.

Plus they are open Sunday when so many places are not. We dropped in and were seated immediately in the back section. Great layout with a front area with tables, a separate back area with larger tables and then an outside area - take your pick. The staff was great, there was a lot to choose from and they are gracious in accommodating sharing. The three fish taco was outstanding, very crunchy, cooked to perfection, with a tangy sauce. Pro Tip - order a pitcher of beer if you are not alone - it is a good deal.

We went on a Friday night, where they had a very loud band playing in the middle of the restaurant. It seemed the only people enjoying the music were the band members themselves. I mean that with no disrespect, there were the people located next to the band that were covering their ears, outwardly! There were people sitting outside, and as they came inside to leave, I jokingly said they must be from up north, as the outside temperature was 55 degrees with a light drizzle. They stated the only reason they ate outside was because they couldn't hear anything due to the band. It's an extremely loud band and a closed space so the music really echo. Unfortunately there is minimal weight staff. I believe that they spent the money on more servers rather than a band, it would be the best business move. Our server came to get our drink and food order, and then didn't come back until it was time to drop off the check. We had a runner come deliver our food, and they forgot the side salad. But by the time our waitress came, we were ready to leave, so we just asked them to take it off the bill. My mom's patty melt was OK, the meat was very thin compared to the slice of bread. My Long Island with also not great. It tasted like a well drink. I would've given 5 stars if the waitress was able to check in on us after we got our food, if the patty melt had better proportions, and my cocktail tasted a little more flavorful.,

I typically love dry white wines and was really pleased to see they had multiple Assyrtiko wines to try. Food was amazing as well! Highly recommend their Zucchini Fritters, and Grilled Octopus as well! But my standout favorite has to be the Calabrese Pinsa! The staff was so nice too! I stayed for MANY hours hanging out with my girlfriends. We arrived at 6:30pm and stayed until closing and the staff did not rush us out even though they were already closed and cleaning up.

They were able to reserve a spot for 10 of us, we had a couple of couches to relax! They offer a robust wine list of White, Rose, Red, and Sparkling! This wine bar is hidden from plain view and tucked away in the Excelsior/Outer Mission. Some friends and I discovered this little gem while looking for a place to have a nightcap. Sippin' Wine Bar is located on the second floor of the Bottoms Up Bar, but the vibe is totally different. Not sure if the two bars are actually affiliated, but they are like night and day. The stairs leading up to the bar are lit up and the interior of the bar is just absolutely gorgeous! It's spacious and low lit with an extremely sexy ambience. The decor is just out of this world! They have the cutest tables and sofas. The lamps and artwork are very unique but visually appealing, and the tables are set with candles that create a very sensual vibe. There's a small but adorable little patio where you can relax and get some air. The interior designer deserves a pat on the back AND a few glasses of wine (wink wink). Speaking of wine, they have tons and tons of it! Their selection is extensive and they make it really obvious with all of their lovely wine bottles that are on display. I really enjoyed their Angeline Pinot Noir as well as the Kungfu Girl Riesling. They serve food here as well. We had just come from dinner, but a few of us who shall remain nameless (cough cough) were still hangry and ordered garlic noodles, garlic fries, and tater tots. Yep, somebody's breath was stankin' but it wasn't mine! Although I didn't try any of the food, It smelled wonderful. There was no food left behind, so I'm assuming that it was delicious! The owner Shirley was fantastic! She happily hosted our group and let us sample several different wines from her collection. She mingled with us as well and talked about the business. The bar is still relatively new and opened a little over 2 years ago, so she is still trying to generate more business. I'm hoping that more people will frequent this place because I really enjoyed it and would love to see it stick around. So glad we stumbled upon this spot, and I'm looking forward to many more future visits.
