I got my nails done here yesterday by Angela and Lan. I've gone to quite a few nail spa spots, by far I love coming here. The girls are very welcoming. Besides the usual manicure and pedicures, they also do waxing and lashes as well. I do love coming here to get my brows waxed. Previously I went to another salon that messed up and waxed my brows and ended up making one of my brows have a missing hair line split in the middle of my brows. Angela was able to wax my brows in a way that made the hair grow back so now it's no longer missing! Also, I have ingrown skin around my big toe. Lan isn't afraid to help a girl out and ease the pain of in-growns! Most spots are too scared to do it. read more

Not very busy salon, and they seem to take their time. My only complaint was that is dirty. They have a sign on the wall that is overflowing with dust. The shelving behind the spa chairs was dirty and dusty, really gross. I appreciate the quiet and slower pace if this salon, but they need to step up their cleanliness if they want people to return. read more

Good deal pedicure at $17. An older lady, named Lai, was my pedicurist. She was efficient and did a decent job on trimming and cutting my toenails to the shorter length that I prefer. This is such a small place, its easy to miss. However, they do take walk ins, which is great. Next door is another easy to miss place, a Thai restaurant, that has pretty good Pad Kee Mao! I went to this nail salon last minute, As soon as I walked in I was greeted. The owner of the salon did my acrylics and I absolutely was satisfied. Great service, I paid about $65 for a full set with gel and a pedicure with callus removal. This was a good price because I usually spend over $90. I will definitely be coming back. read more

Manly Man Review: I waited til I had about 5+ visits to this location before I left my review and all it took was one visit (this last one) for me to change the praise I had for Glendora nail and spa. I'm a suit and tie guy so it's important that my manicure is on point for obvious reasons. The first few times I went everything was perfect, no complaints. Manicure was top notch. I just went (March 6, 2015 @ 3:45pm) and the lady I like that usually handles me was I'm assuming on a break so they had some different girl take care of me. No lie, my initial thought process was "its a manicure, how does anyone who went to school and is a professional at this, eff up a manicure?" lol. So I didn't trip about it, had I applied my logic I have when it comes to barbers to this situation I might have saved myself. I don't know how it is for women but for men, when you have a barber, you stick with your barber until your barber is dead or you die period lol. Long story short I could have did a better job on myself with the travel kit I have at home for when I am traveling on business. Still have dead skin, cuticles aren't properly cut and pushed back, I paid, tipped and kept it moving. I don't believe in second chances so I'm cool. I thought I might have found a little gem being that I'm back in Covina but there are hundreds of other shops neighboring the area, guess the search will continue elsewhere. I really truly wanted to like this place too, very friendly staff (Angela and the older lady that handled me) but I can't justify the quality I just got for the business I give, it's poor commerce. read more

Up until this weekend I had only one issue with this place. And it wasn't anything necessarily bad. However I took my friend with me to get a manicure , the person doing his nails cut him. He now has an infection in his nail/ finger and is going to the ER to have it checked out. Very disappointing, as a nail place you should be cleaning your tools and such. I won't go back again. My spot when I need something done; full set, manicure or pedicure, or even just a repair. Now I definitely get my eyebrows done here. The owner/ manager does an excellent job, she does mine and my girls. My only complaint is change the paper on the table/bed b4 I ask to change it. I don't normally write reviews but after reading some of the negative comments about this place, I felt compelled to write. Like some of the previous reviewers I too was a customer before the new ownership. I too absolutely love Holly, Tammi and Lily! They were always nothing but kind to myself and my family! I am happy to hear that they are up and running in a new salon and wish them nothing but the best! Let me address my personal experience with Glendora Nail & Spa. I have found Angela and her staff always warm and accommodating . Each time I entered the spa I was offered something to drink, whether it was water soda or tea it was always something. I have never seen the salon dirty, if anything quite the opposite. She has in my opinion gone to great lengths to make improvements. I have always been happy with all services that I have received there. I have an appointment Saturday and can't wait to try the new pedicure for summer. I bring my 84 year old mother along and they always take special care of her! I can personally think of about a dozen people that I have referred to the Salon and are satisfied customers. I will continue to refer my friends there. The only suggestion I have is to call ahead for an appointment because you may end up waiting longer as they do take their time with each of their clients. read more

Yup! Sorry, I HAVE to totally agree with Che. She is not a hater by far! I had been coming to this place for over 5 years and it just recently came under new ownership this year. The new owner is a girl who was originally hired by Tami (the old owner) and sits in her station now. This place used to be great and sooo much cleaner. Now it looks like every other cluttered dirty nail shop with mismatched stuff on the walls. I had gotten my nails done there by the new owner when she had first gotten hired and hated the fact that she did a decent job on my nails because she was so rude and annoying! All she kept talking about was how she came from the Glendale/North Hollywood area and about she hated Persians and how materialistic and rude they were. And this was through my whole time sitting there mind you. Not only was it uncomfortable to sit there hearing all of this, but how did she know I wasn't Persian? What makes matters worse, I had returned about 2 weeks later to get a pedicure and sure enough, you can hear her running her mouth about the same thing to another lady sitting there, who looked very uncomfortable as well. Glendora nails had always been the best nail shop around under Tami & Holly with the BEST pedicures and now it's just like every other little shop on the corner, ugly, cluttered and dirty with a young, rude, classless owner who ruined the spot where all of my girlfriends and family would go to, and we live 20 min away from Glendora! I am very pleased to say however, I found Tami & Holly! They are at Super Nails in Glendora on Route 66! I really wanted to love this nail salon because I live so close to it. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the work they did on my nails. They did not shape them well and the nail polish seems cheap. Hours after I went home nail still felt sticky. I later had to re paint them myself. I also received multiple cuts on my fingers not nicks or scratches actual cut that bled. I have been a customer of this salon since 2008. So yes, I knew the old owners, I have nothing bad to say about them. However, Angela changed turned this salon upside down, without raising her prices. I think that says a lot. And because I am a long time customer, I do feel appreciated. I always make my appointment because I know how busy they get. I'm always treated well, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Angela does all my waxing, Long does my gel nail and Connie does my pedicure. The salon is ok to me not the best but not the worth either. My favorite thing about this place is that they most of there nail Polish is Name BRANDs like Essie oraly china glaze none of those cheap polishes ! Owner does great eyebrow waxing! Pedicure are good Downside there's only 2 nail techs last time I went I was turn away because they were booked for the entire day kinda sucked They charge $2 extra for the pink powders which bugs me only because I feel the color of powder they use shouldn't matter in price.. Tina is the best! She was super friendly and welcoming. I was wearing a dress and she was sweet enough to get me a towel to cover up a bit. While doing my pedicure she was caring enough to create a little small talk. She noticed the book I was reading and our mini conversation began. When using a scrub and massaging my feet/legs she did so with care. I'm very ticklish and she was able to do so without making me jolt in the slightest bit. She has a very cheerful and positive vibe which only made the experience more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this nail salon. She even scrub the bottom of my feet and did a light hand and arm massage for me. They have massage type seats that are very comfortable, and a big screen TV. My best friends decided to have a spa day so when she took me here i was surprised at how run down it was! The chairs! Ohy. They were so worn out! It was disgusting. Seeing how run down the chairs were made me think about what else they might be slacking/lacking in. I mean you cant just paint the place and expect it to change or hide how ugly everyting else is. The lady that did my nails, I think shes the new owner or manager, my nails and my friends nails were done cheaply. My girlfriends nail came off after THREE days....The man doing my toes was ok my pedi lasted longer than my nails did.
