I drove out only paying 40 dollars! WHAT?!? Nowhere will you find a car shop who charges only 40 dollars for a tire rotation, diagnosis, given future plan...( if my issue is not fixed from rotation) and a car wash with interior vacuuming!!! Pick up pursue Brad in late but she arrived at 10:30. Just a young lady. No uniform. No ID Card. Calling me to tell him if she's here to pick up my car. As far as RODA that's very unprofessional. How am I supposed to trust a $40,000 Car to person to shows up? It says give me your car. I took a picture of a drivers license and add her my Car Keys I received a text about 1115 in the morning to take my car had arrived at the Shop 1230. No update 130. No update, so I called the Shop and they said it was in the key to be worked on. 230. No update. No response from the road to Shop. I caught an Uber to the Shop which had my expenses. $14.75. When I arrived at the Shop, there was five guys in the lobby. Just seen around. I think they were employees. And when I asked her about my car they gave me this. Oh shit look and he said oh, they're about to pull it in. The time was now three that day and they asked me if I wanted the Service after all. And I said hell. No it took you four hours not to do an oil change. That's upsurd . Give me my Keys. I fed a complaint on the road to app. I received your text and someone was gonna reach out to me. Today is Wednesday, February 11 and no one has ever reached out to me. I will never use a Service again. Worse Customer Service experience I've experienced ever, and I will badmouth this Company on social media to all my coworkers to all my acquaintance to everybody. Very very unprofessional for a business that trying to start up. By the way, you're $60 oil change out to have it done at Mr. Tire the next day for $49.95 Go figure!!!

I've had my oil change done here in under an hour and now I'm currently having a few filters replaced. I did a walk in around 9:36 AM today (essentially my only free day) which was nice since they really just accommodated based on my scheduling needs. I would recommend paying cash or debit card to prevent Any additionally charges using a credit card. Otherwise, I'm very happy with their customer service, affordability and honesty. Would definitely recommend to others and return for future car needs.

The shop will also have a conversation with you about what they've found when doing maintenance, what needs to be addressed today, and what can wait. You can schedule appointments online for oil changes and maintenance. Don't come here if you are looking for a fancy waiting room and shuttle service. Do come here if you want honest service, straight talk, and mechanics who actually care and will fix your issues. I suggest bringing a ride if you can - easiest place to park is to turn to the right immediately after entering the lot and parking on the side, and then walking to the garage. We've had great experience with Hondas and Toyotas.

We asked for a shorter time since it was my daughter's spring break. At first they said it was ok but then they changed their mind. They insisted on a minimum of three weeks. I think that they run a racket on the tesla loaners and charge the insurance with luxury rentals. Their main focus was to secure as much money they could procure for themselves ignoring all the requests of the customers. In total they took around $12,000 for a repair of less than $2000 for an average paint shop. (they tell everyone a minimum of three weeks!)

They gave me a repair estimate of $17,335.18 on October 15, which seemed reasonable, and I assumed work was being done. For over two months, I waited with no updates. Suddenly, on December 5, they emailed demanding the loaner back immediately and threatened a police report for "failure to return a rental vehicle." I called their rep (Alfonso), who said he would extend the loaner--he never followed up. That evening, the loaner was remotely disabled (Valet Mode) while I was driving, stranding me overnight in 20°F snowy/rainy weather on a busy DC street. I had to pay for towing myself to avoid freezing. The next morning (December 6), they called police (Rockville and Prince George's County), claiming I failed to return the rental. They also told officers my Florida license was "fake" or fraudulent. Police cleared me immediately. I repeatedly explained my disabilities (immune-compromised, OCD, ADHD, anxiety) and asked for accommodations to get my medication and belongings from the loaner (less than ¼ mile away at a friend's house). They refused and left me stranded without transportation or meds ever since. Now they demand over $14,000 in storage/rental fees--almost as much as the repair estimate--yet no work was ever done on my car. I have video, emails, bills, and records. This was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Avoid if you value safety and clear communication.

I have been coming here for years, on a recommendation from a friend on my kid's soccer team. Year in and year out - the maintenance on my vehicles is attended to properly, and if issues are discovered - they are discussed, then handled. No unnecessary or "made up" issues are ever discovered. During an oil change last month, PJ noticed I had rotting brake lines on my 2002 pick up truck. As a cop, I rarely drove the truck. It only had 50,000 miles put on it over the past 11 years, because I have a take home police car I drive all the time. My truck is used to basically pull my boat and not much else. Well, dummy me let it sit in salt water every time I put the boat in the water and took it out and I didn't hose the undercarriage off afterwards. Little did dummy know how bad that salt build up would become, eventually starting to eat away my brake lines. Thankfully, during a routine oil change/tire rotation, PJ noticed this. I had kind of noticed my pedal was going down a bit further than normal, but figured it was because the truck was old. Luckily, PJ saw rotted brake lines and fluid had started to seep out. I was losing pressure and was about to lose my brakes. I was shocked, and actually took pictures of the lines and corrosion when it was up on the rack. Salt had started to destroy everything under my truck. l could have died, if one of the brake lines failed. I don't care about me, but what if I had my kids in my truck and we were hauling my 23 foot, 3200 pound boat on the highway and the brakes failed? I'm alive because this shop noticed this, during a routine oil change and tire rotation. This fact alone is reason to patronize this shop. If something is wrong, they will find it. If nothing needs to be done, they won't sell you some BS dealership crap you do not need. I didn't yet need a fuel line, but PJ showed me how rotted it was from the salt corrosion, and said I could probably get away with this line for another six months. Of course, I had it fixed with the brake lines. These guys work on my Silverado, my Honda Odyssey, my Honda Civic, and my Mercedes. I trust them with all of these vehicles and I trust them not to rip me off like shops I have used years ago. I am a customer for life. Oh, i forgot to add years ago when my transmissions was going in my old Honda van, PJ - rather than shipping it out to a tranny shop and getting a commission from the tranny shop, did some research and told me it was under warranty extension from Honda. I could have paid a shop for a new Tranny but didn't have to, because this shop was honest enough to let me know about the warranty extension. A dealership gave me a brand new tranny. This place is superb. read more

I was brand new to the area, and now can't imagine taking my car anywhere else. I'd found the rules about getting my car "street legal" in MD a bit overwhelming. Through Angie's List I found a great place to get my windshield fixed, and they recommended PJ at Glen's Auto to get my car inspected. PJ was truly helpful and understanding of the byzantine bureaucracy and how it was getting me down :) Then, there was no question: when I needed the oil changed, I called PJ. He was able to work me into the (very busy!) schedule fairly quickly, kept me informed of progress, and afterwards I chatted with the mechanic who did the hands-on work. (This is always a helpful thing to do to get the extra info on what else to look out for!) I had been putting off getting two new tires because when I needed the last ones I'd found that my car uses an odd size that cost around $200 each. But the wear and tear was really getting to be unsafe, and with winter coming up I needed to bite the bullet. Imagine my shock -- and delight -- when PJ was able to source them for significantly less, and even with installation and all of the state fees and whatnot, the total was only $600 for four new 60k-mile tires. He even knocked a few bucks off because the final cost was a bit higher than his original (off the cuff) estimate. It's a small, busy shop with great personal service and real attention to detail. Since then I have recommended Glen's Auto to several people who have lived here much longer than I have! Definitely I will be a loyal customer with all of our family's vehicle needs. read more

When planning the installation of a Class II hitch on my Lexus ES350, I found Glen's Auto Service as "the manufacturer's recommended shop" to carry out the installation. I called and was promptly answered by PJ, owner of the shop. He not only validated the compatibility of the preferred hitch but also ordered all the parts and offered me several convenient days for its installation. Installation turned out to be more complex than originally anticipated, including nuances associated with the lighting harness. Rather than "just get it done", he told me of the challenges and "did it right" vs. "doing it quickly". He even honored his original price. The nicest and most professional mechanic I've encountered anywhere across the DMV. He even pointed out an "outstanding" fuel pump recall my dealership has failed to advise me of as well as gave me tips on maintaining my 2nd POV. Can't recommend PJ and his team enough!! read more

THE MOST HONEST & COMPETENT MECHANIC IN AMERICA!!! I've been taking my car to get anything from a 5,000 miles oil change to a new transmission to repairing my uncle's 1969 GTO (Low Miles and in Pristine Condition) and I stopped asking about what it will cost ages ago. I've seen other reviews on Yelp and they're all 5 Stars (including 14 hidden for some reason) and I'm not surprised. PJ is from Ireland and a very funny and friendly guy but he's a wizard with cars. Another reviewer mentioned we should Call For An Appointment First instead of driving up. And he's right. I learned it's best for PJ to call him and let him know I'm coming a day or two before and he appreciates it. This is the only place to take your car. 10 STARS!!! read more

Took our 2007 G35S for service both routine and an unusual noise. Through the course of fixing the car also began idling very high. This is a known problem that is very difficult to fix due to the age and technical problems that I can not begin to explain. PJ, the owner tried a variety of fixes including even taking it to a dealer. He even ordered new parts Nothing worked. He researched high and low. It was decided to order used parts from eBay. He finally overcame all obstacles and resurrected our car. It took awhile but this was a very difficult puzzle that PJ refused to give up on. I also asked them to check the transmission fluid and investigate a suspension knock that I was hearing/feeling. The owner checked the car and called me and we agreed on the work to be done and the price. He explained that the knocking was due to strut and sway bar wear and I decided not to have that work done this visit as he said it wasn't a dangerous situation. When I went to pick up the car I had additional discussions with the owner and I found him to be very honest and sincere. He understood that I was reticent to sink a bunch of money into a 12 year old car. He knew I had done my own brake work and said he was confident I could do the suspension work myself and even gave me tips on how to do it. The work LARC did was done well, with quality materials, and at a fair price - not cheap, but fair. The owner also checked out an old Mazda I had and while no work was done, that experience was also very positive. Another good feature of this shop is that the station is open late so you can go in after hours and pay and pick up your car. And "The Grill" also has great food to boot. There is always an element of fear when I take my car in to have work done. Mechanics many times are in a position to take advantage of customers, and many do. So besides knowing I am going to get quality work done at LARC, I feel there is great value in knowing that I can trust that I'm going to get honest feedback and not get scammed. I feel very fortunate to have found LARC and I will definitely be using them for future work.

What I was not expecting was 968$ to replace a starter. I feel very taken advantage of. The starter cost 250$ at carquest. The rest was labor, diagnosis fee, and starter markup too 360$. I really don't know how the owner sleeps at night charging these kinda ridiculous prices. I hope I'm never broke down near there again, but i will walk before I take my car to Cloverly Auto again.

I called in the am, went in to Cloverly at around 2 pm, and Elizabeth had the mechanic look at my 4Runner within 15 minutes. Diagnosed. Part ordered. Part installed. Oil leak stopped and I was on my way back home by 4:30. Reasonable price for the pil replacement, oil replacement, part install, etc. Their waiting area, and office could use a deep cleaning. Definitely recommended.

The last time I brought it in, my exhaust mid pipe and resonator needed replacing. Since this is a fairly expensive repair, they quoted me a price but also referred me to another shop nearby that may be able to do it at a lower price. This is how you earn a customer's trust! I have referred many friends and family to this shop and will be relying on them for all my auto needs in the future!

By 1pm they had gotten to examining my car and found a nail in the tire. The report they give is very meticulous in detailing the damage, and George at the front desk was happy to go through the report with me. They ordered a replacement tire and were able to get my car fixed by 6pm! For the entire service, I felt the pricing was really fair, and George was super helpful for the entire visit. They also have warranty on their tires, which is super reassuring. Hopefully I will avoid having any future nails in my tires, but in the case I need more repairs done, I will absolutely be coming back!

I got it checked out afterwards and the mechanic pointed out that they had taken the engine apart and didn't replace several bolts and a bracket. There was a broken tensioner that they would have had to have reinstalled, but they put it back in while it was still broken. For weeks after, the manager kept contacting me trying to convince me they had done a good job. It's not a good look. 0/5 stars. Avoid this place if you can.
