I had the best pot pie last night!!!! Randomly decided to stop by for dinner with my husband and I'm so happy we did! We sat at the bar and got great service!! We started with the eggrolls which are to die for!! The portions are also large. We took some of these home. The pot pie was my absolute favorite!!! We also had the rattlesnake pasta which is a must try!! I can't wait to come back and try another dish because the pot pie tasted like my granny prepared it for me lol Huge parking lot with plenty of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms are clean and the restaurant itself is very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute date night spot or just a good dinner place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely something for everyone on the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have live entertainment on certain nights![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Another great visit. We love coming when there is live jazz.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a nice table in the corner and our waitress was sweet and attentive. Fast service is a Godsend, especially when you're hungry. My NY strip was cooked correctly and had a great flavor. I opted for spinach and green beans, which were decent. Hubby had a very good bistro steak salad. The winner that night was the dessert-apple pie! It was deep dish style in a small cast iron and topped with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. Lots of caramel flavor which was great again the slight tartness of the apple. We were even able to take a little bit home it was so large!

I came here for my Birthday today. I picked this restaurant because every time I been here is always a pleasant dining experience. Today's visit......Yikes. It was horrible, Terrible just unpleasant. My night was ruined by dining here. I ordered an appetizer that I never received. Ordered a round of drinks and after 45 minutes, I couldn't not order another round. Our food arrived promptly, But our never checked with us if the food came out fine. The server took our order and I didn't see him again. I had to go to the bar and asked another Employee to check me out. The Manager came out and talked to me, But it was too late. My visit was ruined. I do appreciate the Manager taking the time to talk to me. Final thoughts, I would never come back to this place again. It's fine dining with poor service. I never give business a bad review unless you earn it. I don't recommend this restaurant. My visit here was on July 7, 2026@ 7 pm.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely place! Huge interior and its own parking lot, but if you arrive during prime dinner time on a weekend you might have to park in the adjacent lot that's normally for a business - this is open in the evenings and weekends for additional parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Large interior and nicely decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is delicious and chicken is definitely their specialty. The Rotisserie chicken looked like half a chicken (bone in), some of my friends got the chicken pot pie and said it was incredible, and I got the rattlesnake pasta which was excellent! The portions are huge here, I got a box for my pasta and our server was so sweet and asked if I wanted extra sauce to take home since some would be left on the plate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only negatives were crowded parking lot, sort of loud interior, we had to wait ~10 minutes after our reservation to be seated, and personally I would rather have less food and lower menu prices; however, overall our group really enjoyed Glenwood's and they were very accommodating for our party of 10 (note: one check and gratuity is added for this large a party)![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I will start with the amazing! The service is always top notch here. Super friendly, extremely observant, and know how to expertly guide you around the menu. They also let you know that the chefs are putting new gloves on all the time due to people who have allergies. That's very comforting to know. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean and the seats are comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So all of that gets five stars. My blueberry pancakes, were not so good. The pancakes had a feature of wet cement and lacked flavor. They needed more salt or something. The maple syrup was good but I should had asked for more because these pancakes desperately needed it. This was probably an off day for them but we will see for when I go next time.

I have been to Glenwoods (formerly Stanford grill) many times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food is consistently good and the mood of the place feels upscale and for special occasions even though my family gets take out regularly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today I went for brunch for the first time and it was good. I got the harvest salad which was good. My mom said her eggs Benedict was ok. They were very good at accommodating my children and making substitutions. If you haven't been it's definitely a place to check out.

3.5 stars. First, why did they change their name even though everything is still branded as the Stanford? The dishes, glass etching, decor, everything! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The jazz band made the evening super special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The other patrons are super classy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a short 15 min wait even for a Sunday night and I can see why. The prime rib was delicious. The rotisserie chicken was delicious. The cornbread was good but just okay. Lots of good chunks of corn. I normally don't like green beans but they did a great job. The staff were super kind and welcoming. It's a little weird to get to. You have to go through roundabouts for no reason but you eventually get there. It's huge so you can't miss the ridiculously red sign.

    Fried calamari
    Jaime B.

My wife and I ate here after finding it on Yelp. We were in Columbia, Md. to see a concert at the Merriweahther Pavilion. We decided to have an early dinner before seeing the show. We started with the fried calamari. The breading was light and the calamari was very tender. It was probably one of the best calamari appetizers we have had out of dozens of restaurants we have been to. For the main dishes, we had the rattlesnake pasta. This is a pasta dish made with rotisserie chicken, mushrooms, red yellow and green peppers in a Cajun Alfredo sauce. The sauce was not too spicy with just enough bite. It was excellent. I don't usually care for mushrooms but this dish was amazing. The portion sizes were huge. Enough, that we were able to make another meal for the two of us with the leftovers. For dessert we had the cheesecake with oreo cookie crust. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. She was helpful with suggestions. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and spacious. It is decorated with beautiful wood trim. The booths can easily sit six people each. The dining area is huge. I estimate that it can sit anywhere from two hundred to three hundred if not more guests. Soothing music was played throughout the restaurant. There is a bar serving mixed drinks and beer as well as soft drinks. The restrooms are spotless and just as beautiful as the rest of the restaurant. The rotisserie chicken is made fresh and cooked in a rotisserie pit right next to the kitchen. We will be going back with family to try their prime rib. Prices are slightly above average but warranted. You are paying for an elevated dining experience with both the food quality and ambiance. There is ample parking in a large parking lot. The restaurant also offers a separate dining area for special events with outdoor dining. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

Early dinner at Glenwood's on a bustling weekend was truly enjoyable and the hospitality staff were fantastic from start to finish. Seating options vary while booths fit for business meetings or elbow distance with family and friends. Live jazz music fill the air at 6pm. Greeted by Shine at the host stand sparked the start of our experience, fully engaged and calm, she promptly sat us at our booth. Beautiful smile! Immediately, Brian introduced himself to let us know he wasn't our server, but wanted to take care of our cocktails and beverages as we settle. Nice touch. As we looked over the menu, Christopher our master server, came bearing gifts with our cocktails and waters - Elite margarita, Peartini, Sweet Heat, and Glenfiddich. To start off, we chose the Fiesta rolls. These arrived piping hot and plated nicely. Golden and packed, the rolls were crisp and seasoned well. The sauce added a twist to the delicious bite. For dinner, Eastern Shore style crabcakes, Barbeque pork ribs, and Coca cola beef ribs all arrived plated well and hot. The jumbo lump crabcakes were delicious with zero filler. The size and sides of these could be redefined given the price, otherwise great entree and a popular one. Fall off the bones and draped in que sauce, the pork ribs were meaty. Slightly charred on the ends, only 4 bones of the rack left to take home it was on point. The Coca cola ribs were fork tender and generous in portion. Only served on the weekends, this is a fabulous option and worth the fast. I'm still not sure how we managed to have room for dessert, but the bread pudding and the chocolate uprising suddenly appeared on the table and was nearly devoured. Yes, we did ask for a scoop of vanilla bean, because traditional or not, who will argue that bread pudding is just better with it? While the size is intimidating, it is plenty share of luscious pudding. Someone's hands got slapped reaching for the chocolate uprising and well, uprising it caused and it was a healthy share of sweet endings on a wonderful dinner gathering. The team that took care of us were impeccable, balance and attention at its best. Glenwood has a dedicated parking lot and ADA access throughout with ramps and ample spaces in the front. Highly recommend and be sure to confirm your reservations.

Came for a casual dinner. Had a great time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lively atmosphere, they were pretty crowded at around 4pm already.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Decent portions of food, tasty and flavorful . We ordered pasta, burgers, sides and cocktails. Price is on the $$$ side but you get what you pay for. Quality of meat and pasta was wonderful. Service was attentive and friendly. Adriana did a fantastic job. Convenient location with ample private parking spots. Will return. Highly recommend.

My husband and I shared a special occasion at Glenwood's on a busy Sunday evening. Reservations are highly recommended. We were graciously greeted and upon entering, met with a trio of musicians playing soft jazz tucked in a corner part of the restaurant. They were very good though we did request be seated further away in the main dining room. ****Kahlua & Milk was delicious. ***** Calamari Fritti- generous mound of perfectly fried pieces in a light batter with just the right tenderness, slightly chewy goodness, flavored well with melted Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs. Marinara sauce enhanced each bite. ***** Prime rib roast was much enjoyed. It came with green beans but I wanted a baked potato and it is not listed as a side dish, our waiter offered it as an "off menu" choice. The well loaded baked potato was presented as a mile high delight of melting butter with dollops of sour cream heaped with bacon bits and fresh herbs. It was served at room temperature instead of piping hot. There were the usual au jus and horseradish sauces for dipping. I went with the 16 oz. cut that was perfectly seasoned at medium rare but served pretty cooled down instead of hot. The planned left overs came home with me as well as fresh containers of the dipping sauces. ***** Hardwood Grilled Atlantic Salmon came with a side of tabbouleh salad and a house made dressing which he completed and enjoyed. ***** "Tiramisu cheesecake" and "Key Lime Pie" were good sized portions and topped with fresh whipped cream. Both were creamy, smooth and not overly sweet when they were tasted. This was a special occasion and we did splurge. The one thing why I could not give this a five star for, is that the prices listed on their web site do not match what was listed on their actual menu. I think there should be no surprises that could detract from an otherwise enjoyable time that we shared.

Finally got to try Glenwoods, we came in on a Sunday and were seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is laid back and a little upscale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The servers are dressed up and they had live jazz playing so I felt a bit under dressed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has something for everyone and the calamari was great! My fire roasted rotisserie chicken was delicious, and it was also HUGE. The portions here are insane, the reviews don't lie!! Their shoestring fries were so good, I love a thin crispy fry. We ended up getting the chocolate uprising and wow we had dessert for DAYS. It was absolutely massive and SO good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I didn't have high expectation expectations only because a friend had told me their demographic was a lot older, but honestly it seemed like there was a good mix of ages inside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Judy was our server and she was awesome! She rounded on us frequently and even apologized when she was busy (we didn't need anything)! She is definitely a hard worker & was great! We will be back!

We had a a patron walk by our table and comment "you have the two best items on the menu!" Needless to say, we left the restaurant very full and quite content. What we got: Biscuits (special) - 3.5* my partner loved these more than me. I thought they were good, just not exceptional. The honey butter was a nice addition. Barbecue pork ribs - 4.5* delicious ribs, fantastically thin and crispy fries, and a well paired slaw. Would 10/10 recommend. Chicken pot pie - 4.5* another delicious dish. We loved the portion and how it was served in a mini skillet. It has a hint of curry flavoring but for those who don't like curry I don't think it'll be off putting, it tasted wonderful. The crust was also flaky and perfect.

Because of my video that I share at instagram I am glad Oversea Distillery and Bar only 10 minutes away from my house! BAIJIU: (pronounced bye-jyo) is a traditional, clear Chinese distilled spirit. Literally translating to "white liquor," it is typically distilled from fermented grains like sorghum, rice, or wheat and ranges from 35% to 60% ABV. As the world's most consumed spirit, it boasts a history spanning millennia How It's MadeUnlike most Western spirits, baijiu relies on qu, a unique starter culture of crushed grains packed with active molds and yeasts. This culture simultaneously converts grain starches into sugars and ferments those sugars into alcohol--a process called solid-state fermentation. The mash is then traditionally distilled in clay or stone pots. Just like wine or whiskey, baijiu isn't a single flavor. It is categorized into four primary styles, though many sub-varieties exist: Strong Aroma: Sweet and pungent with fruity and spicy notes (e.g., Wuliangye). Sauce Aroma: Complex and savory, often likened to soy sauce, fermented vegetables, or dark chocolate (e.g., Kweichow Moutai). Light Aroma: Crisp, clean, and floral, similar to sake or high-end vodka. Rice Aroma: Mild, slightly sweet, and floral, closely resembling other Asian grain spirits like shochu.

We started with a bottle of La Crema Pinot Noir (listed at $68.21), which was smooth and paired really well with everything we ordered. That said, this is where things got a little concerning. The waiter initially charged us $110 for the bottle, and if I hadn't caught it, we would have overpaid by a lot. He did fix it, but honestly that's a pretty big red flag and not something you expect at this price point. The charred octopus ($23.18) was a standout. Tender with a smoky char and pickled onions and a creamy sauce that balanced everything out. For the entree, we got the half rack of lamb ($49.18) and the duck breast ($46.18). Both were cooked as we liked. The lamb was flavorful with crispy potatoes, and the duck had a great sear and richness without being too heavy. Dessert was the mango mousse coconut cake ($12.18), which was light and not overly sweet. However, we were told ahead of time it would be complimentary and that they would write "Happy Anniversary" on it neither of those things happened, and we were charged for it. That was disappointing and felt a bit sloppy. Service overall was on the slower side. The one bright spot was the bartender, Abel, who was great and actually made the experience better by offering us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate. Also note there is an automatic 20% service charge added to the bill. Overall, the food and ambiance were strong, but the service issues and billing mistakes took away from the experience. It had the potential to be a really great night, but a few key things were mishandled.

So this review is going to be short and sweet, but with one VERY important note. Those of you who…read moreread my reviews know I typically review either really good or really "not so good" restaurants. I'm breaking my own rules, because I feel the 3.9 rating is pretty accurate, with one 5 star + exception. This was a business lunch and a convenient location so there we were. The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! My two compadres both had the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich. They both looked at me sheepishly and said, you f ed up!!! William was kind enough to break off a substantial bite and let me try it. Angels sang, children wept, and I almost passed out! It was the kind of perfection we all agreed we would have eaten 5, maybe 6 of these unnaturally awesome sandwiches until we passed out! 3.5 Star service, 4 Star ambience, and some 10 Star bites! Cheers, JimG

Unique decor and menu gives Victoria the British gastropub atmosphere. There are private rooms that…read morecan be reserved if food purchase minimums are met which makes them great for gatherings such as graduation or birthday celebrations. The staff are nice, but service and the kitchen seemed a bit slow on a Sunday early afternoon towards the very end of brunch despite the area we were seated only had a few tables filled. The Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was nothing special - feeling like a flat, single-note dish.. Perhaps it was that the hollandaise sauce lacked the acidity (usually from lemon juice) to brighten the dish. Or, that the nod to Maryland - the Old Bay honey - drizzled around the edges of the dish wasn't enough to elevate it to something that is savored with each bite. The Fluffernutter Blondie is a good dessert choice if you love blondies and peanut butter. Although, it was a bit drier than I'd like, the texture was still soft.

We started with Potato Cakes with crème fraiche, they had a nice crunch, a tender interior with subtle flavor. I'd never had them with crème fraiche, it was a nice change and the mild tanginess with the creamy texture complimented the Cakes well. I ordered the Main Street with Weisswurst, a Pretzel and plain Spätzle. It was my first, the veal's flavor is understated in comparison to Bratwurst or Knackwurst (not on the menu) and was a pleasant changeup. The Pretzel was little disappointing while it was a decent pretzel, it lacked the crisp crust and distinctive flavor I expected. As evident by the rating while worthy of note, it's not a game changer. I'd ordered a large plain Spätzle, which was two regular portions, but was served Spätzle with cheese I tasted it and it wasn't my thing, which is not to say it was bad, I just don't care for cheese in dishes like that. Our server swapped one cheese for plain (my wife had happily stolen the other) and enjoyed the replacement. I found that the grilled onions gave it a nice homey flavor. Mistakes happen and it turned out to be a win in the end. We shared a couple of desserts and by far, my favorite was the Black Forest Cupcake. It's on the large side, they might be able to cut on the weighty crème icing, the chocolate cake and soaked cherries were a delight. The cherries are a significant improvement over the Marchinos I had before, if only there were more. Rathskeller can get a little loud, as it is a relatively small space with hard surfaces so voices reflect, it wasn't packed this afternoon, so it wasn't an issue. Waitstaff dresses very casually, it pleasant and fairly attentive.

The lounge is on the smaller side, which actually worked well for the event and gave it an intimate vibe. The owner was also very nice and welcoming, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The menu is extremely limited, and you pretty much have to piece together a meal from a few items. I ordered the jollof rice and six-piece chicken wings. The wings were overpriced, overcooked, and had no flavor at all. The only options were sauces on the side (honey, ranch, or blue cheese), and when I specifically asked for honey drizzled on top with blue cheese on the side, that request wasn't followed. Even more frustrating, our server never came back to check on us or make sure everything was okay. The jollof rice was honestly the worst part. Instead of that rich, smoky flavor you'd expect, it tasted burnt with a harsh charcoal aftertaste. I've had jollof rice many times before, and this was nowhere close. I ended up sending it back. Because I was hungry, I forced myself to eat the wings, even though they were dry and lacked flavor. Overall, Myste Lounge has a nice look and potential, but the food and service really need improvement. A revamped menu and better attention to guests would make a huge difference.

Service was great considering the place is small, it's hard to miss customers. It's a small hookah lounge in downtown Laurel, so don't expect a ton of space, but it's still a nice little spot to unwind after a long day or make a chill after-dinner stop. Hookah was smooth and the atmosphere was laid back. They do sell food, but we didn't try it this time. My only downside is the drink menu, it's mostly wine and champagne but overall it's a place I could see myself frequenting.
