I wanted to use this car wash and drove several miles out of my way at 6pm only to find that it closed early when it was supposed to be open until 8pm. The employee who told me it closed early said it was because of low demand and because they are focused on detail work. Don't go here if you want to risk it being closed inside of published business hours. read more

There should be a sign in front that says "be prepared to wait a long, long time." They do a pretty good job for the price but I just can't justify waiting this long for a car wash. I've been here three times and today was the last straw. I waited almost an HOUR for a basic car wash -- with four cars ahead of me. They didn't even wash my floor mats because no one even asked me what I wanted. I ended up having them stop drying my car because I'd been there so long I was running late for an appointment. After waiting this long, my car should be perfect but was just an ok wash. Definitely not worth such a log wait. If you want your car detailed and have some serious time to kill this could be a good option, but otherwise not a good idea. read more

I really like this place. I love that I never feel like they rush or skip areas on my car to just get it thru faster. I'd rather it take 20min knowing it's done well than being out in 5 and its not. I've been coming here for a couple months now and they've always cleaned it the way I would myself. Attention to detail. We have been going to Glitz for a long time because they are the best! They have raised the bar to another level. We are switching our twins from their infant car seats to the toddler and asked if Glitz would clean them for us. As you can imagine the seats have been annilhated over the last year. Glitz of course said yes and they look BRAND NEW! They only charged $10/car seat. I could not recommend this service more if you have kids. read more

I have been going to Glitz since 2002 and every single time I go, they take wonderful care of my car. They go above and beyond to make sure that my car is sparkling. The staff is fast AND detailed. I LOVE that they use a air compressor to get the water out from small areas like the side mirrors and windows and they use actual dry (not damp towels like some car washes) to dry my mirrors and windows for streak free shine. It's those small details that make this place the BEST in the city for a car wash. Anytime I can, I always recommend them. read more

Groupon Now brought me here and I'm glad it did! I brought my husband's car about a month or two ago here for a wash. It was in desperate need of a wash. I pulled right in and they started to work. I love that they have a high powered air gun to help get rid if all the water in those hard to reach places. The car looked amazing! Brand new even and I was pleased. I recently took my SUV in for a cleaning and again, pleased with the detailed work. I even asked them to vacuum the trunk and they did without any problems. For $9 with the Groupon Now deal, you just can't beat that quality. They recently had a Groupon for 3 washed for $19 and I can't wait to use it. I won't go anywhere else! Good... It was about a 20 min wait for a wash/vacuum during the week, and the waiting space is nice enough. However, I was told to leave my car and no one made eye contact with me after that to ask what I actually wanted done. The car looks good, I just needed a wash, a once-over on the leather/dash/console and a quick vacuum: check. However, when they were done, I was just told, "$17 please." Uh, ok... but what if I had just needed a wash? Or the works? I got the impression they just go on autopilot and most don't speak or pretend to not speak English. read more

Took my new car there after I couldn't stand looking at the coat of road salt that had covered it from all the holiday travels. We waited in my car a short time in a well managed line. When it was my turn, the doors were open for me and my girlfriend and we were kindly shown to a warm comfy clean waiting room with couches and great viewing windows to watch my car's progress. As we waited I was amazed by the hand care that my car was given; both exterior and the interior were thoroughly cleaned with truly professional detailing. Nearly every aspect of the process was done by 2-3 people with great attention to detail. Over the course of the 30 minutes I enjoyed watching my car come back to not just the condition that it was in before the winter months but to the new car gleam that it had when I first purchased it. Oh and the swift crew did all of this in a garage where the temperature was 6 degree outside.... I didn't have time for the wax today, but you can be sure I will be going back frequently. read more

I agree. I can't go anywhere else. It's like valet parking. You drive up, they take your keys from you, you walk into the waiting room, sit down on the couch, watch them clean your car in each detail as they cirle your car around you in 4 3 minute events. Play the video games while you wait. The bathroom is clean and air freshened. They come in and hand you your keys and open and close your car door for you after always verbally expressing gratitude. It is a consistant car wash. They give you many options of types of services. And it's comfortable. Check it out. I can't go anywhere else. read more

They did a great job and even cleaned my floor matts without charging me extra. I don't know if they were running a special the day I was in, but I was expecting to pay $15 and was charged $11!! There were a couple food spots on the seats in back, but overall it was perfect! I have a messy toddler so they had to put some elbow grease into it. It did take a while, there were 3 or 4 cars ahead of us and we spent almost an hour there. But, with the amount of work they do, that seems like it should be expected. Very happy! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 mostly because the waiting room was cold and noisy. The radio was blasting with no one in there. It would be nice to have the wifi code up for people who are waiting since there is no one at the cashier desk to ask. read more

I bought a Groupon (3 washes for $18) several months ago. I was very impressed with Ritz's service. It is more than adequate, to say the least. I bought a new car last year and only want it to be washed manually until I stop caring about it. I had a bad experience with Ritz two washes ago. I could not find my wheel locks, which were placed inside of a small zipper bag, after my second wash there. To make a long story short, I had a suspicion that they were stolen from me by one of the workers there; I remember placing them underneath the passenger seat. I called them shortly thereafter to ask if they had perhaps misplaced them upon cleaning the interior of the car. Unfortunately, they had not. After my third wash I found them in one of my compartments; they had been placed there by a Rtiz employee during the cleaning of the interior. It now seems that after the second wash, the wheel locks were mistakenly not placed back in their proper place. They must have been remembered my car for they knew to place them back where they belonged. I was very happy to know that honest people still exist. I recommend this place to everyone. Honesty, hard work, and meticulous service are all qualities they possess. I will continue to return so long as they remain in service. (I apologize for not leaving a tip after my third wash; I did was not very happy with the prospect of purchasing another set of wheel locks) read more

Just bought a 1998 Ford F-250 in mint condition. My goal is to slowly transform it into a nice man toy with larger tires, spotlights and off road stuff blah blah blah. Anyway, I wanted to keep it well maintained inside and out and stopped in to see what it would take to get it cleaned. Figuring it wouldn't hurt anything to just hand over the keys and cross my fingers, that's precisely what I did. The guys really got this thing shining all purdy like and the topper was that it only cost me $17!!! Holy crap I could do that weekly!!! Well I guess that's a bit anal but still that good of a job for $17 is awesome. I can't wait till spring so I can bring it in for a detail buff and wax for $150. This is my place from here on out. You can take your car to this place and they'll wash it for you. I've been here a number of times with a car. Each time, I give them the car, sit in the waiting room, they wash the car while I wait. They do a good job. My car tends to look better after they're done with it. That's all a guy can ask for, really. I don't have any complaints about them moving crumbs around my seats with a wet towel because I don't eat in my car, and have no crumbs. read more

Who needs to get a whole detail? $13 is a crazy good deal and only 8.99 before 11am m-th. Dayumn! The guys are very trustworthy I've never had anything go missing! If you do save parking receipts though be sure to collect them before hand as they are often thrown away! It may take a few minutes but nothing compared to some of the competitors. I'm giving them one star because the change in my car was stolen. It was a small amount of change but the principle of any theft is unacceptable. I looked in the seat and all over the car in the event it was moved during vacuuming or something. Additionally the inside of my car was not cleaned thoroughly. I still had trash on the driver side of the car. My place mats were not secured properly. This was my first and last time at Glitz car wash. Be sure to remove all valuables. Not likely they would steal an iPad or anything but low value items prime for the taking. read more

This location has it's good days and bad days. On the downside, this location DOES NOT accept cash and to get your floor mats cleaned throughly it's a $3 per mat additional fee. I had to have them go back and forth on a few spots they missed. They have the potential, I just wish they applied it more. read more

Quality of work has really gone down the last couple times I came here. They used to do a great job but the last times I've went I've had to point out obvious big spots they missed and this last time I was charged a couple bucks extra than usual and they did a terrible job. My car had rusty water on it after passing under some train tracks and they didn't get any of it off! The dirt easily came off with a rag and some water but I had to do it myself after leaving the car wash. There were big noticeable spots all over my car, the whole reason I went to this place in the first place. It didn't even look like they washed the outside of my car after I left. There was still a spill on the back seat that again easily came off with a wipe that they didn't clean. read more

With a convenient location right on Chicago Avenue, I was amazed at how quickly and thoroughly they cleaned my SUV and all in such a small space. This place is probably by far the best place to get your car thoroughly cleaned. I'm the type of person that after getting a car cleaned, even the smallest little dirty spot bothers me, and then I spent about 15 minutes going over my entire car myself. This car wash gets the car sparkling clean and there was not one spot that I had to go over, which made me really happy. My car had never been this clean EVER!
