Yesterday early morning (6/7am), I called looking to get help the troubleshooting an issue I was experiencing with my furnace. Thinking I would get an answering service or have to wait for a call back, Danny picked up the call and after a quick conversation scheduled a same day appointment to assess the issue first hand. Overall experience was great, Danny provided full explanation on what type of equipment my condo has. He clearly understood how old my equipment was and quickly identified areas that needed attention and suggested appropriate fixes in addition to diagnosing my emergency issue - bad blower. Never once did Danny try to up-sale me on items I did not need. Even up to the very end of the appointment, after completing testing checks we found an issue with low amounts of cold air return to furnace, it was due to not many return air vents throughout the condo unit. To solve for this issue, Danny quickly opened up an additional hole to help insure the furnace continued to work at optimal performance in the future. This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a service company o. I made an appointment with Danny ON Thursday 1/07/2021to come out on Monday 1/11/2021 between 8 am & 9am I called him to find out his Eta and he stated his machine was in the shop . I said ok then he stated that he would be here as soon as he gets it out , go figure called him THREE HOURS later and he said he was at another job . Huh are you serious he said he could come out my way when he was done, go figure I said lets just do it tomorrow he said ok . Now comes today 1/12/2021 i called him at 7:58 am he said he is stock in traffic he stated once again he's on his way it's now 9am NO SHOW . I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this company has now set up two separate times to fix our heat and blown us off both times, despite knowing we have a newborn in a condo with heat not working properly. Very frustrated after going out of my way to be back in my condo with my baby (we had to leave during the extreme cold) and after following up several times over the course of a week and a half to be "stood up" twice. Danny replaced a 40gal water heater for a good price and quick. Only problem is he didn't install the PVC relief pipe, so when the village of Palatine did a rental inspection they asked for this companies insurance and bond forms, along with letter of intent on the job. All of which Danny never got to me after weeks of asking. If he did the job right, the village wouldn't have noticed and things would be fine right now and I'd not owe hundreds of dollars in fines. read more

Our furnace finally wore out just recently as the snow started to fall. Our water heater stopped working, so we put in a call to Comfort 365 based upon other positive Yelp ratings. Danny answered on my first call and came out later that day to check out the issue. Due to the high cost of parts and the age of our unit (12 years), we decided to replace the unit. On the next day, Danny came out to replace the water heater. It was a challenging job due to the quality of our previous heater and the tight space, but he completed the job that day. When the job took him past regular working hours, he made sure to stay and finish the job so we could have hot water that evening. I had an excellent experience with Danny of Comfort 365 and would certainly recommend him to my friends. Long story: 9 years ago, another company (Assurance Heating and Cooling) installed our new HVACs. From the beginning, one of the units (that gets seldom used) kept losing refrigerant. Despite numerous visits, Assurance was unable to find the problem. Other contractors came by, also with no luck. Finally, Danny appeared in 2018 and correctly diagnosed the problem using a hydrogen sensor, which located all leaks. He promptly followed up with equipment maker Trane and learned about their lousy warranty (they would have given us the parts but not helped us out with the repair, so that the work would cost almost as much as a new unit). While Danny is in high demand and sometimes may be a few minutes late, he is extremely competent, friendly and professional. My saga began in early March 2018 when my thermostat began to act wacky. I entered hospital for major surgery soon after that and stayed there for five days. After coming home, the wacky thermostat seemed to stop creating heat, so I searched for a Heating company to repair (or replace) the thermostat and perform a furnace tune-up as well. Because I was not religious in getting furnace tune-ups in past years (although I always changed the filter annually) , I did not have a trusting relationship with any heating company and had to find a company on my own. During my internet search, I found (word for word) the exact same full paragraph Yelp review on a pair of different heating company web sites. That was a red flag that both heating companies paid someone to write a false and glowingly positive Yelp review. Now I was on high alert that I was entering the Land of Dishonesty. Comfort 365 Heating and Cooling Company caught my eye because of their West Rogers Park proximity, which is where I live. Comfort 365's Yelp reviews seemed a little more genuine than other heating companies, so I called them on Monday afternoon. A guy named Danny came to my house Tuesday evening and installed a new thermostat in a snap, but when he performed the furnace tune-up, he notified me that my furnace had a cracked heat exchanger which creates a carbon monoxide risk. He even showed me the crack with his camera probe, although frankly I was mostly taking his word for it, because I was not exactly sure what I was looking at, although Danny was reassuring. Danny said he had to shut my furnace down according to Chicago law, so I agreed to purchase a new furnace and bought the exact same model as the old one because I knew that I probably did extensive research on the old one and decided 13 years ago that it was a quality model. I hoped its high quality was still true in 2018, and later I found out that it was. Danny installed the furnace on Friday. It took 11 man-hours, counting two hours by one of Danny's co-workers named Jerry whom Danny called to help with a vexing problem with the pipe configuration. Danny and Jerry were both pleasant people, they charged a fair price for the furnace, seemed knowledgeable and cleaned up well after themselves at the end of the day, including complete removal of the old furnace. I intend to purchase a carbon monoxide detector based on Danny's strong urging and have Comfort 365 Heating and Cooling perform a furnace tune-up for me annually. I recommend choosing this heating company based on their competence and integrity. read more

These guys installed a new water heater/furnace for me back in the fall and did great work with a tough space. I live in a very old building with non-standard-size everything, so of course the new furnace they installed didn't reach my return duct. Danny and his team spent hours custom building a box to rest the furnace on to make it all work, and it has been great ever since. We just moved into our first place, which was a foreclosure, and getting the water and heat checked was our first priority. We knew the furnace wasn't well taken care of, But we didn't know how dirty it was until Danny came to fix it up. I found him on Yelp, and he was able to come the same day to take a look. He was able to get the furnace functioning with a lot of cleaning and a few small parts. I was honestly pretty stressed that we needed a new furnace, and very relieved when they told us we didn't. These guys are professional, enthusiastic, very responsive, and reasonably priced. Danny answered the phone. The next evening, Danny and his partner Jerry cleaned the main furnace in my rented 2-unit building, checked the thermostats, base boards, and the wall space heater in the 2nd unit. They suggested keeping an eye on the wall unit as it was dated and the motor seemed intermittent with its timing. Sure enough, my tenants contacted me 2 weeks later mentioning that the motor stopped rotating. Danny suggested replacing it, which I had him do the next day. My tenants met with him, so this saved me from having to go out to meet with him which would delay the install during this winter. Thus I felt him trustworthy. Two months later I called about the hot water heater in the 6-unit condo where I live with 5 other owners. All were stating that they were not getting hot water. Danny answered my call and came out that day. After review Dan ran out to a parts shop and researched the water heater we have, and thought we may be good with just replacing the starter switch. We went with this option instead of a new water heater. The cost was nominal, so we were all happy; and have had no issues! So, while we were at it, our condo association had Comfort 365 maintain our boiler which is antiquated, but works very well. A friend referred "Comfort Heating", when I asked if she had a recommendation for heating repair. She couldn't locate their information however, So I Googled the name, and looked on Yelp. "Comfort 365 Heating" had great reviews so I figured they were it. Seems several have this name, so go with the one with 365 in their name. I'll be contacting them for A/C ideas next. read more

Danny and his team were life savers. I lost my A/C during the heat wave this past weekend and tried calling at least 10 HVAC companies with no one available for weeks. Then I found Comfort 365 and Danny came out within 2 hours of my call, on a Sunday morning, 3 days before the 4th of July! Now, it wasn't just a simple refrigerant issue, our 23 year old coil had a crack and was leaking in our condo. Danny diagnosed it and was able to do a complete air system overhaul 2 days after. New A/C condenser and furnace with such short notice was incredible, especially since the condenser is on the roof and it was 90 degrees.
