We delayed moving into our new house by several days which cost us additional nights in an Airbnb. We had all of our possessions waiting for us in UBox storage, and had we been able to move in on Monday, rather than waiting until Friday for service that was never performed, we would not have incurred an additional month's rent for storage. Overall, they cost us somewhere between $1200 and $1400 due to delay, and never performed the service.

During their work, additional issues arose in areas they handled, and in my experience the amount they initially offered to contribute toward repairs did not come close to covering the actual cost. This led to a lengthy back-and-forth over several months, and in the end my insurance company--not Advanced Restoration--covered the repair expenses related to those issues. I also had several concerns about professionalism while the crew was in my home. Despite multiple requests, some workers did not consistently wear shoe covers. I also heard profanity used inside my home, which made me uncomfortable. On one occasion, I observed two workers smoking in my driveway. These were not behaviors I expected from a company working in a residential environment. Overall, based on my own experience, I personally would not use this company again. I hope they take steps to improve communication, professionalism, and care for clients' homes in the future.

After turning off the water to the unit, I immediately went upstairs to file an insurance claim with USAA. Being Easter Sunday, I figured it would probably be Monday when the crew would arrive. Surprisingly, they arrived on Sunday roughly an hour after I had filed my claim. The immediately went to work putting dehumidifiers and fans in place and cordoned off the area with tape and plastic liner. The following morning, I awoke to a huge pool of water that had spread to my kitchen. Apparently the water heater, which was full when the water was shut off, had finally given way overnight and had emptied the water through a good part of my downstairs. A crew came out later that day and started the mitigation process. Every interaction I had with Lawton was professional, super prompt, and especially courteous. I highly recommend!

They also repaired the ceiling inside and incorrectly reinstalled my recessed lighting. After ghosting us for the inspection they demanded payment and have never heard from them again.
