Came here for the good reviews but honestly didn't get that service. The service was bad. I had to ask for the waiter to get our drinks and I asked for coffee and the coffee was watered down. The horchata latte was extra sugary. The chilaquiles were ok but it's false advertising the picture on menu shows with steak but then they charge you extra. That doesn't make sense. When I asked the guy said that he didn't know and to not get upset. How do you even respond that way as an employee. read more

Came here for lunch with my bookclub, and while we got sat pretty quickly given the line (maybe 20-25 min wait) it was mostly downhill from there. They mentioned the kitchen was backed up, but that also meant no one took drinks for at least 15 minutes, another 15 for them to come, and literally an hour and 20 for our food to come out. Throughout that whole time no one came to refresh coffee or check on us, and the managers kept poking their heads out the door looking at the people on the patio, but no one came to talk to us or anyone else. Walking around with a pot of coffee can go a long way! Luckily we were there to yap so the time didn't feel too bad, but we were definitely getting hangry by the time our food came. It was delicious though, Chilaquiles were a hit at the table, but I prob won't be back in a busy Sunday! read more

Four of us went here for breakfast on Sunday morning. It was packed, which is always a good sign. While we waited, we wandered up Dickerson Road and looked at some of the businesses to kill some time. Once we returned and were seated, the service was prompt and friendly. I had the huevos rancheros. It was amazing. The sauce was delicious, the eggs were scrambled to perfection, and the tortillas were amazing. I would definitely order it again. The staff does a great job checking in to see if you need anything. They promptly refilled waters and coffees. It's a small coffee shop that is very clean and well kept. I'm not sure if they had music in the background because it was busy and noisy. Perhaps my old ears just didn't hear it! I would definitely go back. read more

Their homemade chorizo is so good. Service is always great. Their monte Cristo is a hidden gem. I've been wanting to try this place for over 2 years now and I'm sad to say I will not be coming back. We had brunch and it was the some of the worst breakfast we've had in Reno. We waited 1 hour for overcooked corned beef hash that was not only swimming in oil, the meat was all fat. My eggs were ordered as "Sunny Side Up" and came out Over-Hard with a hard boiled center. The cafe is cute and the staff are very sweet but the food is very disappointing. Poor quality, long wait times, and we all left hungry. Sad but we will not come back again. read more

We had a great brunch here recently! We have lived in Reno for several years and just discovered this place last month. We ordered a sugar free vanilla latte, chilaquiles with chorizo and chicken-fried steak. All of it was straight-up amazing! The staff was warm and friendly. The atmosphere was nice too - not overcrowded or noisy, but lively and cozy. The chairs are comfy and the place is very clean. Much better than any chain restaurant! Let me just say, happened upon Gloria's while just cruising around. It's has a unique, about very cute look to it. Inside dinning, nice and quite a cool on a warm day, but I opted to sit outside on the patio under and umbrella and it was very nice. Outside I was greeted by the Boss Lady herself, Mrs. Gloria who was very nice and made good recommendations and also notified me that her husband is the chef who prepares everything home made daily! We tried this restaurant for breakfast this morning and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. The only positives were that we were seated quickly and the ambiance was nice. After being seated, we waited over 45 minutes for our food while watching multiple tables who arrived after us get served first. When our food finally arrived, my omelette was incorrect and still contained mushrooms even though I had specifically requested they be removed. What really made the experience worse was the way the situation was handled. Our server offered no apology and only stated that she had "put the order in correctly." Then a manager got involved by yelling questions about my order across the bar instead of coming to the table to speak with us directly. Again, no apology and no attempt to genuinely resolve the situation. At that point, we decided to get up and leave. Mistakes happen in restaurants, but poor communication and lack of basic customer service are much harder to overlook. read more

Staff wasn't overly friendly but they were nice. Small place but the wait wasn't too bad despite being decently busy. Don't let the fact that this place is hidden on a weird road for you! They have good food, nice atmosphere, and the service cannot be beat. The parking lot it's a bit hard to navigate, you may not be able to find a spot, but you can always park on the street, as I did. We stopped here for a Sunday Breakfast, mid morning around 9-10am the place was packed. This only means one thing "the food is good" After waited for about 30-50 minutes we were seating and the first thing that caught my eye on the menu was the French Toast. I missed to take a picture, but oh man! They were delicious fluffy, crunchy at the same time soft. I loved it. I will definitely be returning hopefully not in a rush hour. Whenever I find a place that serves Monte Cristos I have to try it. We walked in and we were seated by a very nice lady and someone came by pretty quickly took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to review the menu. The menu has so many options that look delicious, but I had to go for the Monte Cristo. We got there just in time because right after our order was taken a party came in that took up seven or eight tables. I was happy that our order was taken before that party was seated. Once the party was there the room became very loud, but that was no fault of the restaurant. Our food was brought out promptly and everything was very tasty. The portions were huge and we all ended up bringing a box of leftovers home. My Monte Cristo came with scrambled eggs and hash browns and the most delicious sausage. Even though our waitress had the large party to take care of she still stopped by to see us several times just to make sure everything was fine. I really regret having to make this review. In all honesty, this was my favorite breakfast spot, probably ate here a dozen times in total Where things went wrong... I left a pair of AirPods there a few months back, when I realized they were missing, I searched everywhere with no luck. I tracked them to Gloria's, so I was excited, they seemed very kind every time I went there. I called and asked, I sent messages on messenger, went in a couple times, but kept hearing "sorry they aren't here". We saw the AirPods move from restaurant to a home, we also put them in lost mode. Today we went in to eat breakfast and tried pinging my AirPods, they started making a sound followed the sound to a jacket, in the pocket was the AirPods, all clean and shiny. The jacket is said to be the owners. I made a police report because I couldn't even get an apology or any accountability out of them. I am very disappointed. I've worked in many restaurants and when people leave things you put them in the front or in the back safe for they can come back in and get them. Apparently the owner said he was bringing them home to charge every night and then bringing them back just in case somebody came to grab them, I did come to grab them many times and because the owner didn't put them in the front instead, he used them and brought them home, I never got them back until today. read more

I ordered the chilaquiles which were great beating myself up because I forgot to say no beans but luckily they plate the beans at the bottom so it was easy to avoid them! I didn't have the pancakes but tasted them and they were nice and fluffy just like I like them! The French toast left us wanting more it wasn't bad just missing a little something more cinnamon in future. I visited Gloria's Café today, which is a place we frequent at least once a month, especially for their excellent French toast. Typically, the portions are quite generous; however, on this visit, the slices were noticeably smaller than usual. When I brought this to the attention of our waitress, she involved the manager, who explained that they had received the wrong bread. I expressed that the portion provided was not even half the size we normally receive and inquired about a possible adjustment to the bill. Unfortunately, my request was declined.
