First time that my boyfriend and I visited this location. We originally stopped by for happy hour. Online they mention discounted drinks. They also mentioned discounted food. When we arrived at the restaurant, they told us they do not offer any discounted food for happy hour. I did order the sangria, which was absolutely Wonderful and a very large portion. It looks like all of the drinks are quite large. Perhaps that's to offset the quality of food. My boyfriend ordered a strawberry margarita. They were OK. I ordered a burger chop salad. I have ordered this many times and in different locations and states. Never have I had the burger, chopped up and mixed with the salad. This place has really gone downhill in both customer service and quality. One of the female bartenders was lifting her shirt, touching her body, and putting her hands inside the back of her jeans, never once washing her hands afterward. The fall menu included a new set of appetizers - and several friends and I chose the four sliders topped with fried crispy onion pieces, which was a perfect portion for lunch now and some to take home, in theory. Possibly due to 42 orders hitting the kitchen at once, we all found the quality was not great. My sliders seemed to be overcooked, and one friend's order undercooked, so there wasn't consistency in the food. Our server was Kellie who accommodated us with all food and drink specials. We both tried the Haddock (Blackened) with shrimp! It was amazingly delicious! 8/28/23 - I don't particularly like sports bars as I find activity on the many large screens detract from my interaction with people at my table. This was a pick of the friend I was meeting. While I'd never been in this chain, I was greeted promptly and like a friend. I was prepared to sit at the front and wait for my companion, however, the hostess insisted I should be more comfortable and was escorted to a booth. At 1pm it wasn't particularly busy, but I had seen quite a number of people leave as I was coming in. My friend arrived shortly there after, but Katie M had already brought menus and said she'd bring water. They have specials each day and since the sign at the door indicated it was $10 burger day, I expected that would be my choice. The menu however had a wider variety of options than I anticipated. Ultimately I decided on the bourbon BBQ ribs. One pound, with sides of broccoli and mac & cheese for under $20. I couldn't pass that up, even knowing there was no way I was going to be able to finish it. My lunch partner selected the smoked turkey and bacon sandwich that I had also seriously been considering. Our food arrived quickly. Both orders looked amazing and being hungry we dug in, so I didn't get photos. The ribs were moist and easily came off the bone. The rub and bourbon sauce used were wonderful. My husband is not particularly a bourbon fan, but really enjoyed the left overs! The broccoli was still warm and firm rather than mushy. I didn't find the Mac&cheese sauce as smooth as I hoped but still polished it off as it was very tasty. The sandwich was on toast and stuffed thickly with the smoked turkey and bacon. My friend was full after just half with some of the fries. So while not my favorite type of venue and the constant motion on the screens was distracting, it was a very good meal and I would come back again. read more

My past visits to Glory Days in New Tampa have always been enjoyable and filled with good food. In my last review for this restaurant, I mentioned a difficulty in telling the difference between the regular burger and their proprietary blend meat that up charges for $1.50. Manager Jorge Hernandez reached out to me regarding that comment and offered to do a side-by-side comparison. This review is about that experience. My brother and I went over to Glory Days for dinner Friday night. The place was busy. People were waiting inside and outside for a table. We were told our wait was about 15-20 minutes. We ordered a drink from the bar and ventured outside. By the time we finished our drinks, a table had opened up. A little sooner than expected. We took a seat and our server Taylor was around shortly. Funny enough, Taylor was our server last time we were in. She was familiar with my brother's antics but she was super friendly. We asked for managing partner, or head coach as the sign says above the door, Jorge Hernandez. We had light conversation with Jorge and we discussed my last yelp review. For the comparison, I ordered two All-American Cheeseburgers. One regular and one with the proprietary blend meat. I wanted them as plain as I could since the comparison was about the taste of the meat. There was only cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles on them. I ordered both cooked medium. When the burgers arrived, they look pretty similar. The proprietary blend burger is definitely thicker. You get more meat for the $1.50. I cut both burgers in-half to get a full look at them. The first thing I noticed is that the regular burger was much more pink on the inside. Since the proprietary option is a blend of high quality meats, it cooks differently and you can tell by looking at it. What I didn't expect is that they actually DO taste different. The regular burger, while excellent, had a traditional burger taste. I could taste the seasoning, the char from cooking, the complete burger as one with the toppings. It meshed. It was good and there was still that beef flavor in there but not prominent in a sense. The proprietary blend burger has a whole other level to it. The meat in this burger has it's own flavor. A richer, deeper flavor that you notice. It sticks out. It's a blend of brisket, chuck, sirloin and short rib. The burger is bigger, meatier and tasty. It seems to cook a little more through at the medium temperature than the regular burger. It was still pink in the middle but not as much. You'll see in my photos. All in all, I'd say if you're trying to decide on upgrading to the proprietary blend, do it. It's worth it. On top of the burger experience, Jorge also whipped up some off the menu drinks, Pickle-tinis, a suggestion from my brother. It's a simple mix of Tito's and pickle juice. My brother is a connoisseur of the pickle-tini and said this one hit the spot. The customer service we experienced here is not a one time thing. Living nearby, we visit this Glory Days location often. Majority of the time, we run into neighbors also having a laid back dinner in this fun environment. Every single time we are here, the conversation turns to how great the staff and Jorge is. Jorge is a manager that is driven to ensure patrons are happy with their experience at his Glory Days location. That support he offers shines through in his employees, all of which have been welcoming and personable. My brother and I thoroughly enjoy visiting this Glory Days location and we will definitely be back soon. If you're in the area, you should stop by too. read more

Updating my review from 2 stars to 3 stars based on my latest experiences. Service is usually average. They get you seated fairly quickly but the wait staff can sometimes be slow to visit for the first time & slow to check on you during the meal. This may be due to staffing levels but there is sometimes a lack of attention. Food experience has also improved. Normally go with a burger. Usually a good bet lately ... Sports games are always readily available especially in the main bar area. Outdoors they have seating with big TVs too. read more

Overall ***** Glory Days comes in right at 4.50 Weighted Stars after my first visit. My son and I begrudgingly came here to watch football and only because it was local. It will very likely become my regular Sunday hang out as it scored well for Service, Food, Value and you can watch just about every game from any seat in the house. (11/27/22) Setting **** I have intentionally avoided this place for a very silly reason, I don't like the name. Whenever I would see the sign I would ask myself what does that even mean? Is it a place for old people to reminisce about better times, a 50's style diner a Bruce Springsteen themed restaurant? It is none of that and instead it is a modern looking sports bar. The main room has a large wall facing bar however that wall is covered with TV's. Surrounding the bar is a combination of high tops and raised booths. There is virtually TV's everywhere and you should have no issue seeing the action. There is a certain level of inconsistency between the quality of the TV's so take that into account where you choose to sit. There is a separate dining room to the right that seemed to be mostly booths if you prefer a slightly quieter atmosphere. Since we were there on Sunday at 1:00 the crowd was mostly guys watching the Bucs game but there were a few tables of fans of other teams watching their games. It is a stand alone building within a strip mall so there is an abundance of parking. Service **** There was nobody to greet us when we walked in and we where left to stand there wondering what the process was before one of the servers came over. She was pleasant and pointed out that the TV's aren't indicated by what game they are playing because they will change the nearest tv to your seat to the game you came to see. Our server, Shay, was also very nice, made suggestions with ease and was generally on top of things the entire time. The food comes out lightning fast so pace yourselves accordingly. Food ***** The rubbed and smoked wings were crispy, juicy and bursting with flavor. You can add one of their many wing sauces but I didn't as they were perfect as is. My son and I wanted to try and eat a bit lighter so we both took a chance with the Grilled Chicken. We may have rolled the dice but we came out as winners. While we both agreed it could have used a bit more seasoning the chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. The sides of broccoli, cooked perfectly, and mashed potatoes were both very good as well. Value **** Eight Wings for $13 isn't a great deal but they were big. We added side of fries @$2.50 to the wing order but is was a very small portion. I preference the four star review by saying "have realistic expectations and you'll be good". What I mean is that Glory Days is not a Michelin star restaurant and so we need to remember to keep our expectations in line with what is being offered. Glory Days is a good, inexpensive, local place to go when you feel like having some bar food and relaxing. We love the outdoor setup and how close it is to home. With that said, the food is ok, it's not over the top and we have gone back many times. We keep our order modest, pretzel bites (by far our favorite), nachos, burgers, and tacos. Recently I had a kale salad with filet and was pleasantly surprised. The drinks are solid and the service is, most days, good.
