After being involved in an accident while driving my girlfriend's car. My girlfriend's car was returned to us filled with garbage and road debris. The auto body has a picture of the way the car was received. Most, if not all of the trash in the pictures were not present prior to the vehicle being towed. Bill & Billy have always been top notch, honest & fair. I trust them to do work that needs to be done & not get ripped off. Most repair places will try & sell you everything & anything under the sun,however not these guys. They explained what is wrong, what should be done & what could wait. They are accommodating & really try to work with you are far as scheduling. Pricing is more than comparable to other places & you know the work is done right the first time. I never thought I'd leave a review for an auto repair shop but this shop deserves it. I brought my truck in for repairs because it started giving me problems starting up. The amateur mechanic in me said it needed a new starter. I was able get it to the shop, I explained my problem and I was fully expecting to pay the $500+ for a new starter. Bill offered me a ride (which was completely unexpected) while they worked on my truck. They determined the starter was fine and it was simply a bad battery connection which they were able to diagnose and fix same day. They could've easily replaced the starter, charged me accordingly, and I would've paid. Instead, they told me the problem, charged me $53, and had it ready within a couple of hours. Also, they took my wife's car in for an inspection and had it done in minutes. They didn't try to upsell or do any unnecessary work. Great, trustworthy auto repair shops are hard to find. About 6 weeks ago, on a Friday night, I was stopped for having my license plate light not working. The officer said that my eyes looked glassy and that I was on drugs and alcohol. My car was towed and I was taken to the hospital for a blood test. I was released and told that Gloster and Sons towed my car and had it in storage. When I arrived at their station, there was a sign saying that they were closed that day.( Why was my car towed by this business if they were to be closed the next day???) I called the number on the door. The man that answered was very rude, and told me that if I wanted to my car back he would charge me a extra $100 because he had to come to open his store. Also I was told that because it was a DUI charge I would have to pay another $150. The total charge for my tow, which was less then 5 miles, and was stored for less then 12 hours was $432.50 ! I just returned from court today, my charges were dismissed. I had neither drugs nor alcohol in my system Gloster and Sons are the Worst human beings possible. Preying on people when misfortune visits. DO NOT have your car towed by this business. The person who should have been in court today was the owner of Gloster and Sons! I've had many a small business, so I know that sometimes it can get tough, but any business that takes advantage of people when they are down are the absolute worst. They should not be in business. These people are worse then someone who robs a store or bank. My only satisfaction is that I definitely believe in Karma.......... read more

Great shop. These guys work on a couple of my vintage cars for me, and they do a great job keeping my daily drivers in tune. They have handled everything from a 1975 Nova Rally to a 2007 Cadillac SRX with no issues. read more

Doesn't deserve 1 star. BEWARE that this company took advantage of my teen in a horrific accident yesterday-he was T-boned. 2:45pm Fri, police dispatched tow co. *during* business hrs. My son requested car be towed home *at the scene * (captured on officer's body cam) *8mi from home*. He only gave keys with understanding it would be towed *home*. The owner refused to give him any prices for a tow at the site, then it took my 3 calls to them where they forced us to call insurance to inquire on different coverages when my son said we'd pay outright at the scene. They delayed us from getting a tow during alleged un-posted business hrs so they could force us into weekend storage. *DESPITE ADVERTISING 24 HR TOW SERVICE*on card given to my kid & website! I had to complain to get the car the next day instead of their next avail=Tuesday!!!!!! after being yelled at by owner's rude son. They charged me $497 for what should have just been a 8 mile tow!!!!! It's disgraceful that they'd do this to a kid!!!y read more

We were on Rte 84 when our engine light came on we called several places and were told they didn't have time to look at our van or that there minimum charge to check it out would be $99.00 Gloster &Sons told us they would look at it right away only charged us $30.00 and told us we would be fine to continue on home to Vt. DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! I had my back brakes done here back in September and they basically slapped the pads on. They didn't grease the calipers or do anything with care. Since they didn't grease the calipers, they ended up freezing and my front brakes (which had half the pad left when the back pads were done) disappeared in 2 months. They don't do panything with care at this place. They really shouldn't even be in business. They are just a bunch of criminals who will take your money! read more

Gloster & Sons Service Center rescued me off the highway (Route 17), fixed my vehicle, which put me & my family back on the road to our family reunion we were attending. I was treated with respect & they explained what happen & what the cost was going to be to get us going. We were not from the area & they treated us like we were customers for 20 years.
