I wish I could give 6 stars. There had been a faint sound of water running from my toilet for quite awhile. Plumbers from different companies came out. I thought the leak was audible, but they could not hear anything. I was beginning to think I was crazy. Elliot arrived in about an hour. I didn't mention the running water, but he commented on it right away. He was patient and intent while looking for the leak. He obviously knows his craft well. I have a floor furnace, and needed a gas control valve, and a rebuild of the furnace... Not a good experience. I've felt the need to write one of these on several occasions, but always back out because my time is more valuable. You all probably know the feeling and after a couple of days, you just let it go. When you take advantage of a 99-year-old WW-2, Korean War, Vietnam veteran, then it's time for that father's son to step up and let everyone know how you do business. I will make a long story short. I tried to make it clear to your office that the day after Thanksgiving is not a holiday and I did not state this drain to be cleared an emergency. Yet, you stated to me that you only were handling emergencies because your office was closed. If your office was closed who answered the phone! I don't know about the rest of the world, but just because your office is closed doesn't make it a holiday or emergency when in fact I tried to point out "it is not a holiday and I (twice) said this is not an emergency." All I was concerned with was getting the drain cleared asap. I feel taken advantage of and I don't want you to feel the same way. read more

My kitchen faucet stopped working thursday early evening after 6:00 cuz you know how things can never happen first thing in the am or first thing in the week. I had a plumbing issue with the utility sink in my garage which my washing machine drains into. I called GM Plumbing last night hoping to have someone come before the weekend. I received a window of 1pm to 3pm. Today, I received a confirmation call from Elliot letting me know what time he estimated he would be at my home. I appreciated having a more accurate arrival time. Once the situation was assessed, Elliot gave me an estimate. He and another gentlemen, cleaned the drain pretty fast and made sure to thoroughly clean up afterwards. We did a termite tent, gas company turned off gas...tent came off gas company back out to turn gas back on....found a small leak ...probably as old as house ...won't restore service till leak is fixed..ok gas co will not do it so now you need to call a plumber... Right before Thanksgiving, the kitchen sink in my apartment stopped draining. At one point on Thanksgiving day, brownish blackish slime started bubbling up from the sink, rapidly rising to the top and then just sitting there - not going back down. My landlord said the plumber wouldn't be out until Monday, meaning we'd have to live with no sink through the whole weekend. Fortunately, Jason from G M Plumbing came out on Friday on the holiday weekend to help us out. We'd already had two visits from the plumber prior to this, but they clearly hadn't resolved the issue. Jason got the pipes cleaned out thoroughly, and even gave us tips on simple preventative maintenance we can do to keep the pipes from getting clogged in our 100+ year old building. After reading their positive reviews and needing plumbing services, I contacted the company at 8:15 am and spoke with a very pleasant employee who said that a plumber would be at my residence between 4 and 6 pm. At 6pm I called back to see when the plumber would arrive and I was told a message would be sent to the plumber. A little while later the plumber called be back and said, "we spaced". I asked what that meant, and he said, "they didn't put you on the schedule for today" and suggested that he come the next day, which didn't work my our family's schedule. I said that even though his company was courteous, being "spaced" (spaced out perhaps?) was unacceptable and we had no interest in the services of his company. If you consider using this company, forget the kind receptionists--make sure you speak directly to a plumber or you may be "spaced" as well. You can't undo a first impression. read more

This company was amazing to work with. I called because our main line was blocked, and Will was there within two hours, as he promised. While he was here, I asked him about a water heater that we just had moved by someone else. Will took his time and pointed out all the issues with the project and that it wasn't to code. I kind of knew something wasn't right. I asked about them fixing it, and they did it the same day for a fair price. I know everything is right now. Also, the other guy had reversed the hot/cold control in the shower, ugh! We thought we had to live with it because I wasn't willing to tear out the wall to fix it.
