They just towed my vehicle for one hour, I timed the time vehicle was picked up and when it was delivered, since I have gps on my van, I saw driver stop for coffee on the way and spend 25 min doing god knows what. Even with everything, the trip would have been 3 hours, they charged me for 4, they don't let you know that the pricing is set to start from their yard (they got there 10 min after I called) and until the driver comes back to their yard, so they double the time. All in, it should have been 3 hours - I got charged for one extra hour. Rip off. Don't recommend. Get AAA towing for $125 a year instead. read more

One frustrating afternoon calling on behalf of the person who needed a towing service that was stranded. I honestly called about 30 places in one hour with rude and arrogant jerks on the other end, no availability, spiked prices and finally another location recommended GM to give them a call. Wow! What a difference, I do not know who I spoke with but I think he just heard my tone of voice and how overwhelmed I was with the situation, after all it is no fun. I am a female without automotive help. My car won't start so I was given this number to call so I called GM towing and automotive. He told me really lady it is two o'clock in the morning. Just call us in the morning. Why would I call them. I'm in distress. I'll call somebody else and you should too. Towing companies are out in the middle of the night towing peoples cars, so how was I to know that he was asleep and he didn't work at night. I thought it was quite rude. Very disappointed with their customer service. I spoke with a gentleman named Guy simply asked if I could speak with those who helped me the day before , because we were told that they never received our paper work and release form when we had spoke with them in person and signed off on all forms. Guy became aggressive , raising his voice for no reason and then hung up. I then called back to speak to the manager because I didn't want to continue to be yelled at by some man who can't control his temper, and Guy wouldn't let me speak, he continued to yell and then hung up on me again. I strongly suggest that this business works on their organization skills seeing how they lost my paperwork only a day after I was just there, and hiring people who are able to remain calm and not disrespect their customers when being asked questions about a mistake they made. read more

SCAM ARTISTS. I went in and spoke to the man that owns this place, the vehicle I had towed was not in my name, so I couldn't get it released to me. We made a verbal agreement that after 30 days he would take possession of the vehicle and I would not be charged for the process. 3 months later... I get a $2600 bill in the mail from a collections agency. No contact from GM during this entire period, no attempt made by them whatsoever. The guy that owns this place is a lying piece of shit. When I contacted him regarding the bill, all he had to say was "sorry I can't talk to customers after its gone to collections"... yet he nEVER contacted me in the first place regarding any sort of payments. Guy knew the vehicle wasn't in my name, knew I couldn't get it released, agreed that he would just take possession and now he's trying to take $2600 out of my pockets. Go fuck yourself. The vehicle isn't in my name anyways, so I'm not liable for it, but it's still fucking disgusting how greedy you are and that you will lie to peoples faces and try to screw them behind their backs. Edit in response to your reply: You told me flat out I wouldn't be charged and you would take posession. Being the registered owner or not has nothing to do with collections. You send them the bill and my address and they forward it to me, all information you had on hand. Tell me, what exactly did you use to determine that I'm the registered owner? Nothing. Tell me, do you have proof that you sent notices to my residence? Probably not, considering you didn't. I hope you know that once I void the debt with collections I will be coming after you in court for Larceny, and in Small-Claims for personal damages, lawyer fees and time lost. My alternator went out on Friday, June 24 at 5:12 near the Rancho Solano country club. After waiting for AAA for over 5 hours, they let me know on the fourth phone call that I could call another tow truck company and get reimbursed. Would've been nice to know at 5:12. I called GM towing and they said that someone would be out in 30 to 45 minutes and they showed up within that timeframe at 11:10 PM. The driver was tired but still tried to keep the mood light. We were very angry at AAA and this driver was extremely personable and timely. Next time I know to call GM towing immediately so I can get home at a decent hour. My husbands vehicle got towed Monday by Fairfield Police Department and Monday was a holiday so I couldn't get a release for from the department. I called Tuesday and gave me a quote of 305 to pick and if I pick up a day later it's an additional $70 fee. I called Wednesday to say we wanted to come down to pick up they gave me a total different quote of 515. I was pissed! I told them they just told me yesterday (Tuesday) that it was 305 and the lady said she spoke with me Monday and told me the $305 quote on Monday!!!! Which I never spoke or called on Monday. Why would i call if I can't even get a release form to pick up car Monday!!!! I asked if the calls are recorded she said no. During the protesting and breaking into several well known businesses(with police driving past several times, helicopters overhead) I was stranded on the side of i80 freeway. After spending an entire hour on the phone with triple AAA , i was told they were coming. After 30 minutes of waiting (though the triple AAA dispatcher was pleasant) I was told no one was coming. I have to wake up at 430am to go to work tomorrow. He had to send everyone home early due to the chaos. Told me to call CHP,( which I had to google the number)who then let me know I was responsible for the payment. This company came to tow a motorcycle at the police request in Fairfield California. They did not bring the proper equipment to tow the motorcycle no front wheel trolley just used straps to the frame to pull it up onto the flatbed. Come to find out - I didn't have road side assistance with my insurance. I had a flat in the middle of the freeway. Thankfully, I was able to pull over to the shoulder. I called a couple of tow places to get quotes on putting a spare on. I could have changed it myself, but because it was on the freeway, on the driver side (where all the cars were flowing), CHP said it was best for me to stay in car. So ended up with GM towing and "RJ" is the one that put my spare on. He was kind and generous, always about safety too! I thank the tow driver and company for an easy and speedy spare change. After calling numerous tow truck companies to have a lifted truck towed all of which found it too hard for them to do and said to call another company I finally called GM and spoke to RJ. He was extremely friendly, quoted me a price on the phone and gave me an estimated arrival time. While I assumed I would be waiting 2 hours not but maybe 30-45 minutes later he pulls up sooner than he said. He was extremely knowledgeable on how to tow a lifted truck and wasn't too lazy as all the other companies were to do their job. They didn't follow directions. I told their driver to deliver my car to a Dealership and give the keys to my service guy. simple enough... The driver instead takes my car to the wrong dealership across town without having the person he gave MY keys to MY BMW sign anything. So the next day I get a call from the dealership the car was supposed to go to saying the car had never been dropped off. So I end up having to wait while the dealership looked for my car, only to find that the car was across town. The manager a G M wasn't professional at all when I spoke to him on the phone, he didn't seem to care or show any concern for the my situation. Luckily my car was found. this company was recruited by my insurance company, so if your insurance company wants to dump this unprofessional company on you tell them to call someone else. their lot looks like a chop shop. I'm writing this review two weeks after my brief and crappy experience with GM Towing. While driving on Air Base Parkway during rush hour, my heater core ruptured and pored boiling radiator fluid onto my right shoe/foot causing a large second degree burn. I pulled the car to the shoulder of the road and limped to the nearest gas station a hundred yards away. The gas station referred me to GM and I called explaining that I was injured and was going to the emergency room but needed the car towed.The person on the other end of the phone was a jerk. I tired to give him my credit card number and he said it wasn't good enough and that I would have to be there during the tow. I reminded him that I was injured. The man basically said that my injury wasn't his concern. I would have gladly paid for the tow but they weren't interested in the business. So as long as I'm stationed at Travis Air Force I plan to drag GM through the mud like they deserve when ever the opportunity presents it's self. van was impounded and fees accumulated and after 30 days passed they wanted $3400.00 for a van i paid $500.00 dollars for. forwarded papers to dmv to stop a lein sale of the vehicle and long story short. they didnt serve me properly and got a judgement stamped by the courts for $5800.00 dollars and they were ready to attach my wages when i was finally served w some court papers stating so. papers were filled with false statements and manipulated numbers in their favor. judge never even looked at them im sure. if he did he wouldnt have had them stamped.dont know how gm towing owners sleep at night. they will be hearing from my lawer soon enough. read more

Now this is how every Tow Company should operate! Excellent customer service and they went above and beyond to help us in need. My teenage son owns a 1998 BMW 318I with Raceland Coilovers on it which slightly lowers this vehicle. This BMW in this condition has been towed twice under our Triple A Roadside Assistance Program. Once locally by Vacaville Towing and once from Ripton California all the way to Vacaville in the middle of the night without charge, as is Triple A Roadside Assistance Policy. Last night at dusk, my sons BMW broke down on Interstate 80 at the Pena Adobe offramp and came to a stop in a dangerous area of the offramp. I instructed my son to call Triple A with his Roadside Assistance Card which he did. When the Triple A contract tow service arrived VACAVILLE TOWING, the less then honest driver told my son that "he would not tow a modified vehicle". When my son told him that his company had towed the very same vehicle within the past year, he replied,"We don't have a flat bed available and it would be $180 extra and a 2 hour wait for the tow truck. The Vacaville Tow driver then left my son and his vehicle on the off ramp!!! CHP eventually arrived on the scene and had a California Tow truck (white tow trucks you see along the freeway at times) tow the disabled BMW to a position safely off the freeway offramp for free until I could arrange another tow company. I called GM Towing and they responded with a flatbed tow truck within 20 minutes and literally had my sons "modified" BMW on the flat bed within three minutes. GM towed the BMW to my residence for $95 (which Triple A is reimbursing me). Vacaville Towing has no customer service whatsoever and charges double what a reputable towing company would charge for a tow. PLUS this tow should have been completely free under their contract with Triple A!!!! What a SHADY business. I am lobbying Triple A to not renew their contract. The GM tow operator "RJ" was kind courteous and extremely knowledgable! The next day I called GM back to my house and requested "RJ" as the tow operator, so that we could get my sons vehicle safely and quickly to a BMW repair shop in Fairfield. RJ arrived within 15 minutes and this tow was only $75. I highly recommend this tow company for honest fair pricing and its knowledgable and trustworthy staff. read more
