I guess I'm a little surprised that there are only four reviews in 3.5 years....been in a few times now and there is usually one employee working. We've been buying protein to add to our morning smoothies. This last time the employee was listening to a confrence call while trying to check us out. Seemed pretty distracting. We haven't received bad customer service but it hasn't been exceptional either. The facility is clean and perhaps too small to a point everything is overstocked. One walkway was literally 12 inches wide. Might try the mall GNC to compare stores just about a mile apart. read more

Selection is okay (more like 3 star) but the employee working today around 4pm was friendly, I was able to get what I wanted (BCAA powder) and in-and-our quickly! More vegan options would be nice as the only plant-based protein bars available are NoCow which isn't a good option for anyone who gives a shit about not eating sugar/chemicals. More clearly-labeled plant-derived BCAAs would be nice. FYI: most BCAAs are sourced from duck feathers and other weird animal things. Finding a vegan source isn't always easy but worth it. read more

Went today and it was if I was a burden to them...guy was kind enough to grab my item off a top shelf but the girl behind the register needs a basic lesson in customer service. Got treated super bad by Sam the manager. Had a customer get racist in the store and Sam did nothing over a $40 return. It got escalated up to SSM Heidi and even up to Kim Buss who couldn't take 2 minutes to resolve this issue until we had to contact the police and then they just agreed to avoid legal action. There's a conflicting internal return policy vs national corporate policy. I have contacted the CEO, COO and CFO to review this internal practice since it conflicts with national policy. So sad since the employees merit great potential, anyone looking to hire prospect the staff but avoid the manager, very poor csr with a plethora of prior complaints. read more

I have been buying my sups from this location for the past year or so, but after today that has come to an end. My latest trip there uncovered some pretty crumby customer service. As I pulled into my parking spot, the one employee was locking the front door. I asked ," are you guys closed?" And he told me that he was on break and couldn't help anyone for 35 mins. I told him that I only needed to grab some multivitamins and he said ,"sorry, I already clocked out." So I stood there until he returned with his bag of chic-filet, and looking surprised that I waited for 20 mins. I walked back to the door and he told me that even though he was back, he still couldn't sell me anything due to being on break.... And that I would have to wait another 15 mins. At this point I was just astonished that GNC, would have a corporate store that would just randomly be closed in the middle of the day. Especially when the store hours are listed as it the location being open during that time. As I waited for this employee to return from his mid-day chic-filet run, I watched 3 other prospective customers tug in the locked door and walk away. I am just blown away that the staffing of a credible chain store is that poor and the the employee did not show any concern or care when I told him that I would just go to the closest vitamin shoppe. I had the worst experience that I can honestly say that I have ever had. We went in on Friday March 4, 2016 to return items that we recently purchased that day. The reason for the return was due to my brother already placing an online order for the same items. We paid cash and never opened the items. When we walked into the store it was completely dead and both guys/employees were texting on their cell phones. The one guy was literally hanging on the counter with his head down texting! It was a horrible first impression...and it only got much, much worse! They never even greeted us just stared with this irritated look. The one guy for sure seemed extremely high on marijuana. I then tell them that we would like to return some items. One of the employees says, "Great" extremely sarcastically. After taking much time taking all the items out of the bag slowly and processing the return on the computer he tells me that he cannot give me a refund because they do not have enough money in their store. He then tells the other employee to call the manager. The other employee calls the manager, Sam, who I can hear through the phone. I am sure she didn't know that. She was extremely unprofessional. When talking to her the one employee(I do not have either of their names as neither was wearing name tags) rips the receipt off the counter and reads something off to her! After he was off the phone I told him how rude it was to rip the receipt like that and he admitted to doing it because he was in a hurry! A hurry?! They were doing nothing at all. He even told me how busy he was stocking!! What? He was texting when we walked in! It was very clear they just wanted to be lazy. They tell me that won't refund my items not with cash, on my card, or even a gift card! They were completely refusing to refund/return my items. As they are telling me this they are both standing in front of a sign that GNC offers 100% money back guarantee! I couldn't believe it! They were completely doing the opposite of what the company advertises. Then when I ask for the corporate number they played around and were saying they couldn't find it. Then the one guy is reading the number to the other and the other guy kept getting it wrong. Honestly, after 7 times of the one employee reading the number and the other saying he couldn't get it down right I had it memorized. I am not sure if they were just messing with us or if it was because he was high but either way it was so unprofessional. I felt like I was in a movie or it was some joke. These two guys were the rudest, laziest employees I have ever seen. As a business owner with employees I know that your employees act the way the management allows. GNC corporate needs to know how badly this store needs help! This was completely appalling and I share my story with everyone I know. The best part is that they did process my refund then backed it out! They actually asked me to sign something stating that the refund was not complete! I signed it but I shouldn't had. They were unwilling to help me yet I helped them by reversing my refund! I ended up going right across the street to the GNC in the mall who returned it with no problem. There I was explained why the other store wouldn't return my purchase. It would against there sales/quota for the day. Ridiculous! This looks really bad to have people like this working for GNC! This experience almost made me not want to go to another GNC store ever but the store in the mall really changed my mind with how professional and courteous they were. I will definitely be going back to that store, in the mall, to do all my future purchases. I have actually already been back to the mall GNC and bought several items. That's a loss for this horrific store! This is not how a Gold card member should be treated. read more
