At 3 pm still no one showed up, so I called Quality Towing. They said they were trying to call me but stated various reasons why my phone number was not valid. The dispatch recited my phone number correctly. I already told them not to text it cos I only use land lines. Long story short no one showed up in the next 1.5 hours. Then someone with strong accent I could hardly understand, said he will arrive in 30 min. 30 min means they will pick up at 5 pm when the shop closes and it still takes maybe 50 minutes in the 5:00 traffic for the tow truck to deliver my vehicle after they close. I said no they're closing and he says he would put the keys in a Dropbox I told him there's no room at the shop and my driver's window is broken it won't lock and it is a bad area So I had to cancel that Towing when the mechanic was waiting to work on my truck that day. I rescheduled towing thenext day. The reason why I didn't rate this one star is because the next day another Quality Towing driver showed up in the time that they said that he would and he did a good job with no further incident delivering my RV to that mechanic shop. It is noteworthy although it has nothing to do with the towing, is the owner of the shop who was waiting for my RV to replace some gaskets that were leaking badly and they were still leaking when I had the vehicle towed back to my house, had a heart attack on the freeway 2 days after I got my RV back and he passed away!!! I find that very ironic. Now I don't know who's going to make his repair that's still leaking, right again. I really feel like Quality Towing was making up the reason for not showing up at my house that day, because my phone never rang and there is no record on my phone of them having even tried, like any "missed call" record. I was home all that day waiting for them to show up.

Our insurance company (AAA) is trying to inspect and retrieve the vehicle so our claim can move forward, but C&D has refused to release it to AAA unless one of us appears in person to sign a release. We live more than 30 miles away and currently don't have a vehicle because it was totaled in the accident. We asked multiple times if they would accept an electronically signed authorization or any other reasonable alternative, but they refused to work with us. This means we now have to pay out of pocket for transportation just to sign a piece of paper before our insurance company can even inspect the vehicle. During an already stressful time, this feels like an unnecessary burden, especially when electronic signatures are commonly accepted by so many businesses today. After reading other customers' experiences, I'm also very concerned about what fees we may encounter when we finally arrive at the yard. I sincerely hope our experience does not end the same way, but it has only added to the stress of this situation. I understand businesses have procedures to protect themselves, but there should also be reasonable accommodations for accident victims who did not choose to have their vehicle towed to this facility. I hope C&D Towing updates its policies to allow electronic authorization for insurance companies so future customers aren't forced to make unnecessary trips simply to sign paperwork.

This company uses predatory, deceptive tactics and openly violates California law. The morning after my accident, I called multiple times to coordinate selling my vehicle to a third-party buyer. I explicitly asked what documents to bring. They told me to bring my ID and registration. I explained my registration was locked inside the vehicle's glove box. They assured me this was fine. I was given various pricing scenarios, but they deliberately hid the true cost. At no point did anyone disclose the actual fees before I traveled to the yard. Based on their false assurances, I paid for an Uber and had the buyer's tow truck meet me there. Upon arrival, they blindsided me with a surprise demand for $594. To make matters worse, the desk clerk Hussain illegally refused to let me access my own vehicle to retrieve my registration, despite me telling him exactly where it was. This directly violates California Vehicle Code § 22651.05, which guarantees victims the right to retrieve insurance and registration documents without charge. Because of their illegal refusal, I was forced to leave the yard, scramble for alternative proof of ownership, and keep the buyer's tow truck waiting for over two hours. To top it off, David Reynolds at C&D Towing formally admitted they overcharged me by $65. However, they now flatly refuse to pay me the money they acknowledge they owe me, refuse to answer my emails or calls about payment. This business operates like predatory sharks, exploiting vulnerable people less than 24 hours after severe accidents. They rely on the belief that victims will simply give up. If your car is taken here, document every call, demand all fees in writing before arriving, and know your legal rights regarding vehicle access. C&D Towing is an unscrupulous, fraudulent operation. I called Patrick the owner of Mobile Auto Repair and Service, on a Sunday afternoon. I explained the symptoms, and he agreed it sounded like a motor mount was bad. He quickly contacted a local parts retailer for a fair price. Within 5 minutes of my initial call, Patrick called me back and stated he could do the the entire job for $125. Patrick further stated he could be at my house within a few hours, since he was working on another job. Shortly before he arrived he called to say he would be at my house within 25 minutes. When he arrived he was polite and friendly, he quickly inspected my vehicle, and stated he was pretty sure the engine mount was bad, but to be sure he would have remove it, and examine it. Upon removal he determined the engine mount was cracked down the middle. Within 35 minutes of his arrival he was done. I stated up my car and I could tell immediately the problem had been rectified. After years of taking my car to not so honest mechanics it is so refreshing to meet a person like Patrick, who is honest and up front. In future I will definitely call Patrick for all my car needs.
