We also ordered golden yolk mushrooms which were exactly what you imagine they taste like. The duck fried rice was also great. The chicken was good but could've been crispier. Tried a few items from this place: Dry cooked chicken tenders with ube- I thought the chicken wasn't that great, it's a little bit spicy. I think would've been better if the chicken was more crispy, but it's on the soggier side. The ube was good though. Come Try Chicken -- that's what Go Chicken says in Chinese characters, if you're curious. Arrived shortly after 2pm on a Saturday. Placed order by 2:22pm, last of the 5 dishes we ordered arrived at 2:39pm and by 2:55pm, they were coming by a couple of times to check on whether we could pay for the bill -- this was rude and offensive behavior! I see they have a closing time of 2:45pm but if we ordered by 2:22pm and kitchen stopped cooking at 2:39pm, what's the problem with leaving us to enjoy the meal we paid for? We didn't need any service and I don't see how we were an inconvenience to anyone. If they really want everyone to be out the door by 2:45pm, then they shouldn't accept anymore dine in orders after 2pm. I chewed through my food so fast that I felt like I was getting indigestion! Also don't be a sucker for their scallop noodle $20.99 -- I should've called them over to find a scallop for me -- just find one!! The whole plate of noodles tasted bland with no flavor. Check out my pics. Their so called Bang Bang chicken $14.99 is basically General Tso sauce -- nothing banging about it. The espresso spareribs $14.99 remind me of the dimsum I once had at Koi Palace many years ago but these spareribs were a little tough to chew. The only highlight was the sandstorm chicken $14.99 and golden egg yolk mushrooms, although definitely not worth $12.99 -- two dollars worth of white mushrooms fried with some egg yolk batter. So rude to rush us, especially since the last dish arrived at the table at 2:39pm. Finding parking was easy since there's plenty of metered spots nearby, and we had no trouble grabbing a table when we rolled in at 11:00 AM on Saturday. The setup is a little unique--you order the food via a QR code, but you still pay through the server. We tried the garlic green beans, seafood crispy noodles, and the dry cooked spare ribs with ube, but the spicy wontons were the real winner. Small and organized spot with amazing service! One of the ladies wearing eyeglasses was so friendly, she recommended the Beef Brisket Stew Rice Roll and even showed us a few to-go orders. Service like that really makes a difference. We tried four dishes: Golden Egg Yolk Mushroom - hands down the best dish ever! Unique, crisp, full of real egg yolk flavor, and not salty. Loved it so much we could easily eat it as a snack. Sand Storm Chicken Wings - super crispy and huge portions (10 pieces for $14.99!). Incredible value for the Bay Area. Caramelized Spareribs with Ube - visually striking and unique. The spareribs are already marinated with savory flavors, but the caramelization wasn't sweet enough to balance them. Still an interesting and creative dish, just slightly too savory for our taste. Beef Brisket Stew Rice Roll - unfortunately our least favorite. We were greeted and seated by a waitress upon entering the restaurant. They have an extensive menu. We ordered the Black Truffle Duck Rice, Seafood Crispy Noodle, Sand Storm Chicken Wings, Caramelized Spareribs With Ube, Espresso Spareribs, Sauteed Green Beans, Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp With Cranberry Aioli, and Jasmine Tea. Our food came out in a timely manner. The Black Truffle Duck Rice, Seafood Crispy Noodles, and Espresso Spareribs were ok. There weren't anything special with these three entrees. We couldn't really taste the Espresso in the Espresso Spareribs. The Sand Storm Chicken Wings were piping hot when they got to our table and they were flavorful. Wow, the food here was so good!!! We ordered over the phone and everything was ready in about 15-20 minutes. We tried the Sandstorm chicken wings, egg yolk mushrooms, and chicken tenders with ube. The Sandstorm wings were tasty and crunchy - definitely a solid classic chicken wing but probably not something I'd personally order again. The chicken tenders with ube was so good! The flavor was on point and caramelized which made them perfect over white rice. The chunks of ube paired surprisingly well and added a nice touch of sweetness. Definitely a must order! Really good fried chicken at a good value. Definitely out does the Panda. They have a pretty big menu with a lot of different offerings will need to test them out more. The sticky sauce itself is not ube flavored, but it is a sweet & spicy sauce that goes so well with the ube pieces and lightly crisped, juicy chicken. If you're not a fan of chicken, they also have a spareribs version too. I also tried their boiling bowl of stew that has rice crepe rolls, beef brisket, and beancurd. We ordered the bang bang chicken wings, honey chicken wings, sautéed green beans, and xo sauce rice noodle roll! My personal favorite were the green beans! I really love sautéed green beans! The reason why I have my rating at 3/5 is because of a few reasons. I would rate the food hands down 5/5!!! FOOD IS PHENOMENAL! I will add photos next time for food. The Espresso pork ribs was so good, I can pour that sauce in my latte! Sandstorm chicken was also very flavorful. The staff are very friendly and accommodating! They keep the place "clean" but UNFORTUNATELY, what I noticed about how they handle food and dirty dishes was very poor. If I can give a negative point on sanitation, I would. The staff are wearing gloves.. HOWEVER.. it is the exact same gloves that they use to grab dirty dishes from customers that got done eating, same gloves they use to spray and wipe the table to clean, AAAAAAND same gloves to put new plates, grab freshly cooked food from the kitchen to serve to tables, and to grab utensils. SAME GLOVES ALL THROUGHOUT. Please change gloves at every encounter, or better yet, just use your hands and wash hands when you are supposed to. Please change how you handle food that people consume. Food is amazing, I will just get food there to go so it won't be handled by the floor staff. read more

All our solid options, but I wish they had the baked pork chop like they did previously. The only thing I found a little odd was that for the tomato beef fried rice, the tomatoes were just diced and sprinkled on top. I thought it would be "chowed in" like tomato beef chow mein, but the rice was still tasty. Wonton noodle was fantastic. Good size wontons, bouncy noodles and their wonton might be the best in SF, others are making them smaller and smaller, less shrimp and more pork fat. On my second to last time going in, the worker there said it'll be ready soon. Mind you, at this point I've already waited 35 minutes. She looked at my order and said I'll ask them to rush it. Meanwhile, there's a bunch of other orders that are after mine that's sitting on the counter. How are you going to make other orders after mine when my order hasn't even been completed yet? They completely forgot about half of my order and kept telling us "it'll be ready soon". If we came in so many times already, why didn't you check up on the order? Why is it that you're making other orders when mine is not even complete yet? On top of that, they rushed the other half of my order and the soy sauce chow mein is an absolute joke. It's not even a full order. We didn't even get complicated items. The beef chow fun and the truffle scallop noodles were ready but our scallop fried rice and soy sauce chow mein was forgotten about. So half our food was just sitting there while the other half was forgotten. It's so disappointing cause we use to frequent this location before the change and we wanted to try the new ownership but safe to say, we will probably not be back.
