My attempts to speak with them about it have not been successful. So I offer only this: according to the US DOT website, they are currently operating without insurance and are not authorized for the out-of-state move they took my deposit for. You can verify this by going to the USDOT website and entering the USDOT number listed on the bottom of Esteemed Movers website. (I've attached the screenshots from 3/29/22.) My guess is that while they are great movers, someone in the office is overwhelmed and not taking care of the business side of things. (And yes, Sharon, you are correct. Like I said we moved in October, it is currently the end of June and I am still waiting to hear from them after multiple attempts to contact them to be reimbursed. Other issues: They showed up to start packing at 9am and didn't finish until 2am. Boxes where mislabled/not labeled at all. They had to pack items in the morning because they where thrown in a pile in our garage. Our toilet plunger was packed in my weber grill with our egg container.

We had to push out our original move date by 2 weeks due to a change in schedule and Marathon accommodated us without any hassle. The entire crew (special thank you to Robert, Derek, Albert, Abraham and Juan!) packed, moved and unpacked our belongings carefully yet efficiently. They were prompt and very courteous, and we never felt like we had to worry about anything. Plus, there were no surprise charges at the end. Jonny said he would contact his guys and call me back within 10 minutes, 30 minutes later still nothing... Had to call him back again. He was always polite, but super unprofessional. Said he was talking to them but got cut off, couldn't really give me a time they would be there but kept promising they would be. He eventually calls me back again saying he finally talked to them and that the last job was running a little longer than expected but they would be there by 7. Okay, fine, that sucks but it's understandable. 7:18 rolls around still NOTHING. So I call again. He says he'll call them and find out where they are and call me in a couple minutes. And again don't get a call back. This happens a few more times and he says they won't answer there phones. This is getting ridiculous. Finally at 8pm I call to ask if they are even coming at all, I was about to give up but he assures me 100% they will be there and this was the only time I was able to move for the next couple of weeks so I regrettably agreed to continue waiting. FINALLY, at 9:18pm they pull up. After we had sat around waiting for them for OVER FOUR HOURS. I will give the movers credit for how hard they worked, but they messed up a lot of my furniture. I do have a large couch that I was okay with being forced through small doorways as I knew this was the hardest piece to move (this was really the only reason I hired "professional" movers in the first place), but the rest of my furniture there should be no excuse for. They scratched my TV stand and bent the hinges on the door so it now hangs crooked and put a gash in my dresser. Things that could have been quietly and carefully carried down the small flight of stairs at my new complex (like my dresser) were instead put on dolly and VERY LOUDY dragged and banged down the stairs one man at a time after 10pm at night. Sorry new neighbors. I was moving out of a studio so the move only took a little over an hour, but they still enforced the 2 hour minimum after showing up over 4 hours late and f*cking up my furniture. Unfortunately, they only take cash (again, super professional business), so I can't even attempt to get a refund. I feel like an idiot for paying full price and tipping them. At first, I didn't want to fault the workers as they were hard working and it just seemed like a MAJOR scheduling error, but after the damage to my furniture this business as a whole deserves negative stars. tl;dr: STAY AWAY! They wrapped and moved everything from an upstairs condo that doesn't have an elevator to the truck that was parked far from our place, making it a very long day. Despite the long walk to the truck and the up and down on the condo's steep stairs, they were still very professional during the whole thing. It made the stress of a move much easier. One think that was upseting when my wife and I discovered a couple of our furnitures were damaged. Finally after calling the business multiple times I got to speak to the owner. Who's response was "I know the guys did a horrible job" he said he would reimburse me for the stained mattress, I didn't realize until days later that they damaged my washer, and also to call a carpet cleaning company to remove the stains from the carpet and he'd also reimburse me for that. Well I mailed everything and I never got reimbursed. Companies like this one are just too much of a hassle to deal with. I just don't have the time and energy to deal with greedy people.

I am an Air Force military member and have moved many times in the past few years from California to Arizona, Arizona to Germany, Germany to Arizona, Arizona to Tennessee and plenty of times around the city and around the world. Out of all the times that I have moved, even when I had my items shipped from overseas I have never had any broken/ dented items. It took the movers 2.25 hours to load items that took .75 hrs to unload. I was not only penalized by my property management company for exceeding my 5pm time limit but also charged for their extra hour of services. This company showed up with three men when I had initially requested two. I don't have a lot of things since I lived in a 600 sq ft apartment and I had previously packed all of my items in boxes with the exception of my wardrobe items because I read in a post below that the boxes were to be provided for an easy move. When the men got there only one man was working which was Artemas the driver/owner which he took a lengthy time wrapping up all my furniture in plastic and moving blankets; the second mover was moving boxes out slowly out the complex and the 3rd mover was doing god knows what inside the truck. After 2 hrs of seeing no progress with the move I got so frustrated I had to call for extra help from my brother. When 4pm hit I had to tell the men to stop and to head out to the new complex to avoid extra penalties. At this point they were only half way done with my 600 sq ft living space items. As I was leaving my complex I noticed my fire extinguisher was damaged/ broken in the ground and was brushed behind a door to hide the evidence. I took a picture of this to document. We arrived at the complex and as we arrived the property manager offer to help unload to help speed things up and get out on time. The movers were helpless I still ended up moving and doing heavy lifting myself and inconveniencing others which is why people hire movers to avoid these issues. When the property manager saw the items that were inside the truck he commented that he couldn't believe it took them 3hrs to move the little bit of items that were loaded in the truck. We unloaded all the items in 45 minutes which incurred just the same distance back and forth from truck to property along with elevator included. Horror doesn't end there. As we unwrapped the items to hand back the blankets i noticed a huge dent on the side of my wooden bar. I pointed that out to them and asked if i was going to be reimbursed for the damages. Artemas, responded defensively and said that neither him or his men did it without even asking his men. When I asked him to stop speaking for his men and let them speak he asked his men in a demeaning manner if they had made the damages. None of them admitted to the damage and then said that I did the damage when I was unloading the bar from the truck and that he was not liable for it. I told him I would file a complaint at a later date and would contact the company, but I guess I am Shit Out of Luck since he is the owner of course there is no need to fear being liable for things. They also at end of the move made us return the wardrobe boxes so i ended flipping all my clothes upside down to on the floors of my bedrooms to get them out as soon as possible. This issue will be directed to the Better Business Bureau for any disciplinary actions on this business. But for now please beware of this company. I would suggest to go with a different company to avoid any physically, emotionally, and financially heartache.
