I don't know why I was hoping and expecting something like Hurry Curry or Curry House, when there was no line at dinner time. Food came out in a timely manner. Ordered the Home Run Combo platter. Curry itself was different and good, but the proteins were not it. Platter included katsu, wiener, and shrimp. They were semi cold and tasted like they had been microwaved. No crunch factor at all. The flavors were also off. I usually give places a second chance, but don't think I'll be doing it here.

Service was fast and cutlet was fine, curry had very little flavor and no spice. Color is much darker than most other Japanese curries. Price was about $20. There are other curries that are much better. Located in the food court at Tokyo Central Market.

Tried this around dinner time and was surprised to see no line. The marketing for this place was great but I was kinda disappointed at the lack of flavor. It was good but it felt short to competitor's such as ichibanya and curry house. Overall it was alright, nothing too bad and the workers were nice, but it could be better.

A little corner place in a Japanese food court. The curry gravy is very rich and savory. the pork katsu is cooked well. I wish it had more pickled ginger. But other than that it's very good. It was prepared fairly quickly, considering it appears to be made to order. Good place for lunch.

Located inside Tokyo Central food court. You order on a kiosk, the service was pretty fast and workers were nice. Home Run itself was decently sized for $21. Cutlet was very good, nice and crunchy. Curry itself was different, more sour but still flavorful. Personally not my cup of tea compared to creamy curries but plate overall was a nice experience

I frequent Tokyo Central plenty so I've seen their food court change multiple times in the last decade or so. This particular spot used to be a sushi spot, then a bakery, then it was empty for a minute... ... and then a discovery on social media saying this place has opened up! There was even an attached article and was sold before I finished reading the whole thing. Came through with Big Bro and Mom. They both went for the regular pork Katsu. I went for the home run (gotta have that egg and fried shrimp.) Paid, got a pager and patiently waited. Wasn't long before our goodies came out. HOME RUN: It's basically a regular katsu (I got pork) but with boiled egg (cut in half), shrimp and 2 pieces of sausage. Light breading on the katsu and juicy on the inside. Great seasoning! Same with the shrimp - decent size, also. Boiled egg is what it is, nothing out of the ordinary. But what binds all of these together is the curry sauce. It is darker than most Japanese curry plates I've tried, but this has amazing flavor. There's a lot of everything good in it, and has so much depth. The shaved cabbage served as good palate cleansers as with the red fuku. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 4. Very little interaction, but service with a smile and food came out hot and delicious! VALUE: 5. Worth it! The home run plate is good for two! PARKING: Located inside Tokyo Central. Private lot. It gets super busy during lunch hours on weekdays and even busier during weekends. OVERALL: 4.5. Planning on dragging peeps with me next time to share the grand slam and/or the world champ! Awesome first run!

We had walked by this new curry place for a while and finally made the effort to go and sit down at the Tokyo Central Food Court (rather than just getting to go). It's always packed there and this Sunday afternoon was no different. Ordering was easy and fast but it took a while to find a table. Luckily, one opened up, but it was by the sliding door, which was basically opening and closing continually our entire meal. Finding a table at this food court is generally difficult during peak hours and especially on weekends. When our buzzer went off, we walked up to the counter and picked up our food. Tokyo Central has water dispenser and cups for free so we didn't bother buying drinks. The curry was dark and flavorful. The katsu was crispy and crunchy. The sausage had a nice snap to it and the shrimp was plump inside the breading. The meal came with the perfect amount of rice which soaked up all the curry goodness. If you like thicker, darker curry sauces, this place will not disappoint. The closest I could compare Go Go to is Chanpions Curry but I like this my CB better. Usually when I come to Tokyo Central, my go to is Kagura but it looks like they have competition now (and sadly, less than 5 feet away). In the end, it'll depend what I'm craving more. Kagura for better Katsu or Go Go for better curry.

Yummy curry spot! Offers customizable portions (rice can be S/M/L). Located in the supermarket food court, easy to order from machine as well. Curry is on the saltier side, recc pairing with a drink. It's got a little spicy kick to it, and they also have Sriracha if you want to increase spice level. The pork cutlet was nice and juicy!

Other than my gf's japanese curry, this is probably the runner up. I love this style of curry, which is dark and flavorful. The katsu was crunchy, which was a nice contrast to the curry. we got the large and was able to share. Portion is pretty big for one, but absolutely doable. Much like the other stalls in this market, you order and pick up your food. They got a huge parking lot, so there shouldn't be any trouble finding one.

Go Go Curry replaced the Japanese Bakery (Croissant Du Tokyo) that used to be at this food court. I ordered just a side of curry ($3.99) to taste their flavor. Their curry is darker in color and very flavorful. It is unlike traditional Japanese curry that is slightly sweet. I really liked the curry from here, it's got a more complex and savory flavor that goes really well with just plain rice. One thing I wish was that their curry was spicier or had the option to make it spicier. Still, definitely worth checking out if you haven't tried their curry before.

Yum! Ordered the small pork katsu curry. The curry was really yummy, it had a nice kick to it. Not overly spicy but definitely noticeable. The katsu had a nice crisp and the pork was pretty juicy. It also came with a side of cabbage and red pickles. Food was delicious, I do feel like it was on the pricier side. They're having a grand opening with $2 off your total bill.

A new curry place opened up and you have to check it out! This place is located inside the Tokyo Central where the food court is. Parking is pretty easy but sometimes it gets pretty crowded during lunch time. They are located in the far corner so it's easy to spot. The staff recommended to try the og so we ordered the original pork katsu curry to share and it was delicious! The curry was almost thick and gravy consistency and very rich in taste. The katsu was juicy and paired so well with the curry. Definitely recommend to check it out!

I had a decent experience at Go Go Curry. They have a nice variety of options on their menu. I wasn't feeling too hungry so I decided to try their Home Run which is a classic plate with their most popular toppings (1 tempura shrimp, 1 sausage, 1 hard boiled egg) and comes with a choice of chicken or pork katsu. I got the pork katsu and it was okay. I am hoping to try their chicken katsu because I usually find chicken to be juicier. The curry here is also darker than you'd expect if you've eaten a lot of Japanese curry. It was more dense in flavor and slightly saltier. It was still good! The sausage was very smoky and I enjoyed the shrimp tempura. For the price that I paid, I was wondering if I should go for the grand slam instead because I was pretty hungry! I think there is more value the larger the combo. If I could find a buddy willing go in on the World Champion combo then I'll give that a shot next time! The service was fast and I waited about 10 minutes tops. The ambiance is loud but you can still talk. It's in their food court so it can get packed during their rush hour. So I recommend coming before or after lunch/dinner.

If you think you're getting that omelette rice you see online in videos from Japan, or even like the one on the menu you are in for a big surprise. The curry portion on my $20 plate was so small that I had to pay an extra 5.50 in order to eat the remaining rice with extra curry. The plate is raised in a way where you can pour a lot of curry in there. The cooks are obviously trying to skimp on portions. Service was slow. One gal took our order and never came back. Like I did not see her the remaining 20 minutes I was there. Didn't bring my extra pork cutlet or curry. I had to ask the other gal to bring our food bc the other one forgot or had bubble guts. The cutlet was mediocre but not as bad as the rock hard stew meat. I will never come back to this place and would advise ppl to stay away. Also the water literally tastes like they got it straight from the sink without a filter. Was expecting so much more. Left very disappointed. Do not order the beef curry plate. I guarantee you will regret it. This place is absolutely disgusting. Another note. This was my second time here. The first time I came during business hours and the place was closed due to no running water. I felt really cheated by the quality of food, portion size and the amount of money I paid for me and my buddy. This place absolutely sucks

Old wood. No unnecessary theater. I walked in expecting the sort of modest Japanese restaurant that makes you wonder why anyone bothers opening anything new. Then you get inside. There is old in the charming sense, where every worn surface feels earned. And then there is old in the neglected sense, where the room feels dim, tired and coated in the residue of a thousand lunches. Ichimiann lands much closer to the second. The cafeteria style ordering, self serve tea and tray return could have been part of its appeal, but the space has no real rhythm to it. You order, drift toward the back and eventually find yourself eating in a room that feels more institutional than intimate. The staff was pleasant and efficient. No complaint there. The soba itself was also good, properly textured, clean tasting and clearly better than the lifeless supermarket versions most people know. The problem is that "good soba" is carrying nearly the entire restaurant on its back. The portions are remarkably small for the price and every addition begins to feel like another minor financial penalty. By the time the tray reaches the table, you are looking at a modest serving of noodles in a tired room and wondering how the bill became so ambitious. Handmade or not, there was nothing on the plate that felt difficult enough, generous enough or memorable enough to justify it. That is the disappointment. Ichimiann presents itself like a surviving piece of old Torrance, but tradition alone is not hospitality and age alone is not character. The noodles are respectable. Nearly everything surrounding them needs considerably more care. I wanted to discover a neighborhood institution. What I found was an expensive bowl of decent soba in a restaurant that seems to believe its history is doing more work than it actually is.

Steak curry & rice was really good. It tasted like the curry I had in Japan and was the best Japanese curry I've had recently. They recommended ordering the steak well done, and l went with that. The sauce portion was generous so there was plenty to go with the rice. There are no extra toppings just rice, curry, and steak but I would come back to have it again.

We put our name down inside the restaurant and waited for more than an hour and a half to be seated. Inside the restaurant it was really small and seems like it's a fast paced environment to eat and leave. I kept on checking on the table in the meantime and there were plenty of seats open for people to sit at but the waitress wasn't calling people in. It wasn't efficient at all but I felt bad because she was by herself doing everything. Red Rock was clearly understaffed but I feel like the process and the wait time was unacceptable. Even though the service was slow inside, the to-go orders were every crazier. We met someone who was waiting for a while too. Like I said, not trying to be too negative but #1 the calling people for them to come back #2 there are tables that are open and not calling guests in are both inefficient and can find new ways to make it seamless for their staff and customers. Food was good though, I got the American Sliced Beef Don which was a mountain of sliced beed, pure protein and rare. It was very red so it felt a level of raw but not sure because I order Medium rare or even Medium steak. This menu item was very unique and while I was eating I was like hmm should I trust it haha but I felt fine after. Would come back to give it a try again.
