Late night sushi sounds like a terrible idea. But it wasn't. We popped in after the Unrivaled game at Barclays. I have been on a sushi quest much like my oyster quest from last summer and this the right place at the right time. The service was swift and unimposing. They easily accommodated my modifications. The food came out quickly and we were beyond full at the end. The space is small and intimate. Probably like eight tables but I cannot complain because we had a table and enjoyed our food. Came here for the lunch special (discounted rolls) and they were pretty good, nothing special, just what I expected. Brand new sushi spot on grand street within Chinatown Manhattan! I originally found out about this spot by the "Fung Bros" on YouTube and can say it's a cute and quality spot. The staff were very sweet and I tried the sashimi lunch special (to go) which was tasty with tuna, salmon, and even a spicy salmon roll which was the best compared to a lot of former ones. When every other restaurant closes after 9PM and you need a spot to grab food after a night of drinking, this is one of the few life saving spots that's open until 1AM. They have this one amazing deal where you can choose 10 different rolls for $67. The three of us ordered two of these because of how good of a deal this is. We also ordered other small appetizers such as the pork dumplings ($7) and Yellowtail Jalapeño Appetizer ($14). These were great, but really the money is on their sushi party tray. read more

This is nestled in china town and you might miss it walking by. What catches the eye is the beautiful decor and the nice greeting of the staff that makes you feel like it's going to be worth a try. And it was the staff was so nice attentive the seats are like your sitting at home and comfortable. So clean and airy. Good soft music playing and food served at a great temperature. Second, the cream cheese was like coagulated/cottage cheese like consistency. The Maki Combo A was decent and pretty standard maki. Salmon, tuna, and yellowtail were all fine. The Maki Combo C was where everything went downhill. The spicy tuna/spicy salmon rolls tasted soooo weird. I've never had a spicy tuna roll that tasted like that before. Perhaps it was because it was towards the end of the day so the sushi might not be as fresh. Another thing was the consistency. The spicy salmon roll is like mashed salmon, rather than a chunk of salmon. I've never had a salmon roll where the fish was chopped/processed. I've only ever had spicy tuna prepared like that. Pretty disappointing meal and don't think I'll be trying this place again. read more

I opted for a can of Sprite, instead of salad or miso soup. When I get takeout next time, I'll ask for more fresh ginger slices & soy sauce for the 3 rolls.
