This place by far is my favorite vegan place ever!! THE PRICES ARE INSANE! Everything is always fresh and so good. Every time I go here I get the chicken wings because the plum sauce is soooo good. The Vietnamese crepe was HUGE and the mango smoothie was only $4! The mango salad was so amazing! They did NOT skimp out on the mangos and they were so sweet and fresh. For everything I got the total was $30! Vegan food is usually overpriced and bland but this place definitely is not that. Cannot exaggerate how much you need to go here! I tried their food couple of time as my uncle's family is vegetarian and always orders from here, food is really good, but, this is my first time going to the actual store and the plaza was little off to me - old and quiet. I saw this place a long time ago wasn't sure weather to come or not. I finally went with a friend. We went during Covid-19 so couldn't eat there. To be a vegan restaurant that had so many things on their menu caught me by surprise. We decided to get smoothies that had no sugar added. A dish that was like chow main but had tofu and thin noodles. We also got spring rolls and tofu curry. The portions were very generous I would say just get one dish and share it's more then enough. The smoothies were very good and no sugar added it doesn't get better then that. The food was pretty good and not greasy at all. This is the only vegan restaurant in that area. I'm sure it's a lot healthier then most places. Definitely will return and it's worth giving it a try. read more

Loved the food and service here! In the Korean sesame beef dish, the beef was fantastic. And the sauce that comes with the fried vegan fish completes the dish perfectly. The only thing is that the peanut sauce is a bit too runny for spring rolls, but that's not enough to take off a star. read more

Delicious, fresh, well seasoned vegan food! I work nearby so I come hear at least once a week. I typically call in my order and come to pick it up. The guy surprised me one day by remembering both my first and last names which I don't normally give. Friendly people with good service and outstanding food. I've enjoyed everything I've ordered here but once I tried to stir fried prawns, I can't get away from them. So good! And I'm not even vegan. Nice place on the inside too even though it's a lousy location. If They are ever able to open a place in Berkeley or somewhere people enjoy healthy food, they'll make a fortune. read more

This place was a pleasant surprise. We found Go Vegan on Yelp and walked there as it was fairly near our hotel. It's situated in a nearly-abandoned strip mall, next to a nail salon and with some dodgy-looking people milling about in the parking lot. We almost turned around and left, but decided to give it a go and we're glad we did! The menu is remarkable, covering Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisines--all plant-based. The faux meat seems to come from a source in Taiwan, and looks and tastes like the real thing. We got several different dishes, and all of them were indistinguishable from the ones we'd had in the past prepared with actual meat. The restaurant is clean, service is good, and the dishes came out quickly. Prices are more than reasonable. I would recommend this as a place to take your meat-eating friends! read more

First time here and I loved it. I had the Pad Thai and egg rolls. I ate half the Pad Thai right away and then ate the other half later, it was a little dry but the flavors were still very good. The egg rolls were full of flavor that I ate them without sauce, they were also nice and crispy. The area where it is located is a little sketchy but definitely worth it. Ever since I found out about Go Vegan from reading John B.'s review, I had it bookmarked and wanted to try it. I thought wow, Antioch of all places? But I'm glad more vegan spots are opening up! In order to avoid traffic, I decided the best time to go would be a weekend. So today, my fellow Yelp friend and friend IRL (in real life), Brandi W., and I along with my BF ventured off to Antioch. The drive was pretty smooth, no traffic at all on this Sunday afternoon. We walked into the restaurant and while we waited a minute or so to be seated, a nearby customer proudly told us that it's all non-GMO and they use some organic ingredients too. I thought that was a cool first impression! We went family style and ordered several dishes to share such as egg rolls, papaya salad, lemongrass chicken, fish claypot, pad thai and fried rice. We also ordered won ton soup which never came out but the owner apologized and we didn't mind as we ordered too much! No biggie at all. I agree with Brandi W, the waiter seemed kinda new and nervous but he'll get the hang of it. I enjoyed all of the dishes - they all seemed to have a spicy kick. Normally I can't handle spicy foods but surprisingly I could handle these. My faves were the pad thai and I enjoyed the texture in the egg rolls - like a taro or potato texture. I also enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee and the fried banana we had for dessert. I thought the drive out to Antioch was worth it as we enjoyed the food. If you are looking for a healthy item try the Kale Salad so good! The kale portions are very generous and the vinegar sauce highlights the whole plate full of avocado and carrots. Wish I could make tofu like this at home. I tried the Kale Smoothie that was also a winner full of good stuff for your body. Ok, this owner is a nightmare. I just read his response to my previous review, as well as his insulting, retaliatory PM he decided to send 2.5 months AFTER my review (did he not want the world to know how unbearably RUDE he is to his customers?). In response, let me just say first and foremost, this is a free country and the entire purpose of Yelp is to post honest reviews, which is my right. So before this owner decides to harshly reprimand a customer for posting about his or her experience, he may want to remember that. As for the rest of his rant, I'll try to keep my response simple. I was there with a party of 7 who ALL witnessed the waitress respond to my concerns/inquires about sauce ingredients by just repeating, "it is vegetables." This was the older woman with glasses and the thick accent. There were WITNESSES, buddy, so check with your employees before you insinuate your paying customers are liars. As for the "egg" noodles, I ASKED YOUR STAFF to see the package and read the ingredients with my own eyes. As for the GMO, refined white sugar, and soy isolates debate, it is WELL documented that many countries regulate and even ban them, primarily because today's GMOs are grown with glyphosate herbicides, which the World Health Organization, Harvard, the New England Journal of Medicine and countless others have labeled carcinogenic. So, if a restaurant serves soy, for instance, it had better make sure it's organic and/or non-GMO before it markets itself as a healthy establishment. It's not just my opinion, but even if it were, it's my right to state it without fear of harassment or backlash from some restauranteur with anger management issues. So, now I'm adding rudeness and hostility to the list of reasons to avoid this place. read more

Only ate here once since the restaurant is a bit out of the way and in an unpleasant shopping center. I wish they would move closer to Brentwood and a better location. That said, the food is absolutely amazing and that is coming from a meat eater. The owner and chef should be very proud because of the dishes we tried we could not believe it wasn't meat - taste, texture were spot on in mimicking a dish with meat. As part of attempts at weight loss and better health I've tried numerous faux meat products from the grocery store and they have generally sucked. This place really opened my eyes to the world of vegan dishes made by experts. Hope to visit again soon. read more

I order here whenever I go the my vet in Oakley. The people are nice. The menu has a big selection of vegan food. I like that I don't have to think too much about ordering because they know what vegan food is. The vegan shrimp has the squishy texture of real shrimp. There are vegan pork ribs, chicken and ham, noodles, fried rice and smoothies. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is the spicing of the food. It needs a little oomph to make it stand out. Maybe it's because I've only had the takeout. I didn't find it until the Covid-19 shelter-in-place started. It's hard for someone outside the area to find. It's in a vacant strip mall. However, it is worth it if you want to great selection of vegan food. You won't find any place like it for miles. read more
