I sometimes say if a place has a fantastic location, it doesn't have to have fantastic food…read more However, when you charge nice restaurant prices, a fantastic location will not save you from myriad service and food quality issues. Haring's has a terrific, classic New England location in Noank right along the Mystic Harbor. It's a touch north of Abbot's, and is where Ford's used to be. Our family was on a boat and looking to dock for lunch. The Captain's first choice for lunch did not have dock parking available, and I recommended Harings based on social media posts. The Harings employee who helped us dock was very nice, helpful and hard working. He was probably the high point of our experience. We were told that since he had a boat, we would have to eat on our boat and they would come to the boat and take our order when it was our turn. From the point we were told that, here was our experience. Nobody came to take our order for about 45 minutes. I went to the desk and they apologized and sent someone to take our order. She was friendly and helpful. We were told it would take about 30 minutes to get our food. It took longer. A boat that docked about 30 minutes after us had their order taken within about 15 minutes, and they received their food 10 minutes before I had to complain that we still hadn't received any of our food. The person I spoke with was friendly and our food arrived soon after I said something. The food, which was not inexpensive, was not spectacular. Certain items were not delivered. My son said his fries were not warm and were undercooked, and his $18 chicken sandwich was much smaller than cheaper sandwiches he normally orders.The people who ordered hot lobster rolls said they were OK. At this point, so much time had passed, that we did not have time for them to correct these issues. I ordered the Bisquets and Gravy, which was a 1/2 pound of lobster, lobster bisque and cheddar biscuits. The bisque was average. It could have been better seasoned. There was a lot of lobster, but at least some bites were overcooked. The lobster wasn't well seasoned either. The highlight of my food was the oysters, which was a substitute for the scallop crudo they had run out of after I ordered. I have the sense that the people who helped us, wanted to provide good service. It just seemed like the structure of the service was disorganized, and you never knew if they had forgotten you or that was just the normal lag. I ultimately concluded it was mostly that they had forgotten about us. The location is fantastic. Perhaps the food is better when the business is less steady. I did not see enough in this visit to return. This was probably my least favorite New England water side food experience in years. Especially at this price point. 2.25 Stars

She didn't care that I had the tech conversation with me on our Ring cam that proves what I'm saying: "I get what you're saying, but it's not what he put on the paper!" I said, "So how come every time a tech comes out here, they lie about what they told me, seeing as it's happened each time?" Her reply was, "I don't know! I'll have to have a talk with them when they come in." I said, "Well, it's getting cold; we have barely any oil and don't want to put oil into the tank, seeing as he told me it would Contaminate it an not work properly! She didn't care, so I went, "Maybe I should have another company come out and look at the tank." She went, "You should, because we no longer want to work with you, and I'll let community action know. When it was time for the installation of the heaters, we had the privilege of being assigned Ryan, Nick and Pat for our home. These 3 young men were wonderful. I felt comfortable having them here, they did a FANTASTIC job with the heaters, the outside unit and the fuse box. I am thrilled with the way they all interacted with my family too. An extremely honest and reliable company - I highly recommend them…read more Hands Fuel came to our house right away when we didn't have heat, even though we were not an oil customer of theirs. They were able to fix our old oil furnace on the spot by changing a small part for a very reasonable price. Another service provider (sent by our previous oil company) told us that we needed to buy a whole new unit, that the problem wasn't fixable. Hands Fuel will now be the company we get our oil from, in addition to all tune-ups and servicing. Run by people who were a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. This is the type of company I want to give my business to, and recommend to others.
