Are you into exotic foods that might require you to acquire the taste of something? Well, if you like crispy intestines cooked on a cast iron grill, Gob Chang is worth the try. We had a restaurant that we liked to frequent at closer to home, but they have recently closed down, so I've been in search of other places. The service was good, but language was a little bit of a barrier. We asked for the bean spouts to be separated and at first I didn't think he understood, but at the end all the vegetables were separated which was better than including the bean spouts. The intestines was good, but I would have preferred them to be crispier, but he put out the flames early. We ordered an a La carte order of the pork belly, which was very good. I loved the thickness of the cuts. Definitely worth a return trip.

I'd been craving intestines, so I did a quick Yelp search and found this spot. It reminded me of a traditional Korean sidewalk pub: small, cozy, with about 6 to 7 tables. We ordered the Medium 3 Combo meal, which included small intestine, large intestine, and tripe, and it came with steamed egg and either soup/kimchi on the side. Ordered rice to go with it which was perfect but I do wish they had hot barley tea. The gentleman came out and torched the meat for a few mins, then left them to continue grilling on the cast iron plate with gel fuel. Everything was delicious! The meal came to about $100 with tip, but I'd say it was well worth it and will for sure come back here!

If you're a fan of daechang and gopchang then this place is definitely the rice place for you. They have a 3 combo meal that comes with a combo of small intestine, large intestine or tripe and all three are absolutely amazing. They also have steamed egg and a choice of either kimchi soup or soybean soup. The service was amazing as well. The owner was extremely kind and made sure that we were always taken care of and you can just tell that he has a passion for making the best Korean food in the area. The restaurant is nice and it's just a has a traditional Korean vibe to it. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place!

Gob Chang is a hidden Korean restaurant gem in a small Buena Park plaza. With spacious parking (though it can get crowded, street parking might be necessary), this cozy pocha-style spot serves quality meat with fast service. The owner takes pride in their meat quality, delivering an authentic dining experience. This place is my #1 Gop Chang place!!! Great for Gop Chang lovers, though it closes early for soju drinkers :(

Came here to celebrate my sister early birthday. Ordered a few things from the menu. Ordered a small intestine combo as well as the pork belly. The combo came with the soup as well as the egg. The egg was so good with the cheese on top. 10/10 The kimchi soup wasn't really our favorite, and it's kinda spicy. 4/10 The small intestine was really fire. Goes really well with their sauce. 10/10 We also ordered the pork belly ( no pic). Was pretty tasty and with some bomb kimchi with it. 10/10 The waiters who were working were very nice and joke around with us. Overall would recommend this place if you are looking for a place for some intestine. It is a little bit on the pricey side.

Love coming here for their big intestines. Their medium is a good 2-3 people servings and there's alot of fresh Banchan. Service is always great. The owner is always attentive. I haven't been here in a year and Def hit the spot. The intestine always clean throughly which make it easier to enjoy. See you guys again soon :)

Walked in on a Saturday night - it wasn't too busy and we were seated immediately. We ordered the Choose 3 Combination (M), Kimchi Cold Noodle, and Beef Tartare. Service was fast and the staff were great! The Kimchi Cold Noodle was super refreshing and cuts the fattiness of the intestine. The beef tartare was also very fresh and a generous portion. There were only 2 of us so we had a lot of leftovers to take home haha. A solid gobchang spot!

The owner and all staffs were all friendly and nice and their food portion was good too. However I had to take one star off because some parts of intestines tasted little bitter... :( All other dishes including side dishes were delicious. Especially their cheese fried rice in a pot was BOMB. So much flavors!!!

This is $100 combination. Only 15 daechang and lot of vegetables , and mak chang is really hard to chew . I cannot believe I spend more then 100 .....

Thought we had lucked out but honestly, everyone working here is super efficient and vigilant. Ordered the stir fried pork belly, corn cheese pancake, and rose tteokbokki. Corn pancake was HUGE like a large pizza. Very thin but super gooey, actually couldn't get a grip on it with the tongs because it was falling apart. Ended up having a corn cheese pancake salad but it was still great. Rose tteokbokki was pretty weak in terms of flavor, friends that I came with agreed that the flavoring wasn't as strong as it usually was, and they're regulars here! Pork belly dish deserves its own paragraph. I mean... holy. The perfect mix of salt on the juicy, fatty (and generous!) pork belly slices, the slightly sweet and sour kimchi, and soft, roasted garlic. If you're getting one thing on the menu, let it be this! Had a muscat iced drink to share for the table, we subbed out maekgeolli for milk for a nonalcoholic option. They also offered yogurt as a substitute! Very strong on the muscat flavor and so refreshing. Overall, we were in and out in about 30 minutes. I didn't even see them pick up or give back the credit card, that's how fast they move. Will be back!

After that, a variety of starters come out including spicy beef tartare, pan-fried sliced beef, glass noodles, and a beautiful platter of nine delicacies. Everything was thoughtfully presented and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was definitely the assorted premium wagyu cuts, which are grilled to perfection over charcoal. The meat was incredibly tender, rich, and packed with flavor. Pairing it with naengmyun and soybean paste soup made the whole experience even better. What surprised me most was how many courses kept coming out throughout the meal. Even after the wagyu, they brought fried dishes, seasonal items, tricolor pancake, and dessert to finish everything off. Overall, the course felt very complete and satisfying, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. Food: I ordered the beef gyugatsu. When you order (on the tablet) it will give you a choice if you want the full set or just the meat only. Of course I had to try the full set. It came with 2 sauces, salad, edamame, radish, rice, and a bowl of miso soup. It was delicious! Meat also came with a little grill for u to cook on and wasabi on the side. My partner ordered the curry pork cutlet. Pork cutlet was a tad bit dry, nothing crazy but the sauces that came with it made it better! It also came with miso soup, salad, radish, edamame, and a bowl of rice. Since my partner ordered the curry cutlet, ofc it came with a bowl of curry and katsu sauce on the side. Both meals were delicious! 8/10 rating for food! Ambiance: cute, clean, nice and small! You order on the tablet. They close around 830pm keep in mind! We came the last hour of closing and there was still a couple of tables eating inside still. We were greeted upon arrival and we didn't need them to tell us how to order as the only thing on the table was the ordering tablet (self-explanatory). We ended up ordering the premium gyu katsu set along with the curry pork cutlet set that comes with rice and sides along with some beer. The drinks and food came out fairly quick and were steaming hot. I like that the curry came on the side so the pork cutlet wouldn't get soggy and you could pour over as much as you want over the cutlets. The veggie sides were a nice touch and complemented the meal well. The gyu katsu didn't taste like Japan to us, but it was still good especially with the wasabi and sweet soy sauce that came with it. If I came back here, I would give the beef tongue a try along with the creamy udon because those also seemed like a favorite for customers. Service here was friendly and we were checked up on multiple times without having to flag someone down.
