Wow this spot has the coolest indoor atmosphere to a restaurant I have ever seen! Saitos has multiple locations but this one is clearly the flagship! The indoors is so well themed that it transports you to Japan! They have beautiful murals on the walls throughout, a ton of decor like the cherry blossom trees, the Japanese famous red archways, and of course and entire koi pond that circles a ton of the tables with which you have to take a bridge to sit at! They have a very spacious inside too, with a ton of traditional seating, a long bar, and over a dozen hibachi tables to sit at! It's a capacity machine and it's beautiful inside. I've never seen such a large and well taken care of koi pond indoors before so I was fascinated with it! The hibachi was also great! We had a party of 5 and got to luckily have our own private chef! I ordered the hibachi chicken and it comes with soup, salad, steamed white rice, veggies, chicken, and a shrimp appetizer! The hibachi chef and all the waitstaff were super friendly and the entire hibachi presentation was super well done. All the food was delicious and plentiful. I def was stuffed after we finished. I truly can't wait to come back to this spot again soon and if you are in Dania beach you definitely need to try this Saitos! read more

Overall, the food was fine. The atmosphere and decorations were good. The bartender was attentive while we waited for our table. The biggest issue was the manager on duty. We had made a reservation many days prior. He said "We don't accept reservations". I showed home the reservation confirmation text and number, and he said "That's the owner, complain to him" very bluntly and rude. He was a real jerk. Nice restaurant and good food. We went for dinner and were surprised to see the place almost empty on a Monday evening. This was surprising because it was such a pretty and large space. It's just another hibachi restaurant really. My favorite part of the entire restaurant was the koi pond and the deers that greet you when you walk in. Besides that the rest of the experience is ok. The hibachi chefs don't look like they are having a lot of fun and the shows are very cookie cutter. The food itself was completely fine. Most of the taste came from the pounds of butter they throw on it. But $30 for a regular meal is a little bit too much in my opinion. The food was so good but the show is even better! Reminds me of The Hibachi Grill in Ocala. Everything is made right in front of you, just exactly what you order! It's like walking into Japan, with Koi fish pools, Buddha greeting you at the bridge, all the Japanese women wearing their Sarong's. , the Dragons ... the whole nine yards. We have been to this restaurant maybe four times now. We went again last night because it seemed fitting for the cold weather and we had a great time as usual. The chef was super kind and funny, and he was interacting with the table. Every time we go, the food is beyond delicious and they have my favorite fried rice. I love that the meals come with shrimp, soup, and salad and we pretty much have an endless amount of Yum Yum sauce at our disposal every time! This was by far, one of my worst dining experiences I've ever had in my life. Sure I'm from New York, and we have the best of everything. I'm not asking for Michelin star, just wanted decent Hibachi. We came in on a Sunday night around 8PM. The place was about half full , and they put us in the very center of the establishment , in the center of the koi pond which was pretty cool. Our waitress Anna looked about 14, and while she was nice, there was just no energy or enthusiasm. We were getting ready to order appetizers, and asked for the fried tuna appetizer. She bluntly responded with "oh I wouldn't recommend that. It's quite strange and gets returned often and people don't like it, and it has a funny smell". Right away, I knew I made a terrible mistake coming here. So we didn't order the fried tuna and instead went with karage and vegetable rolls. The vegetable rolls came out first and were just sad looking on a big plate just rolling around. Out comes my karage, which was basically just like 6 big fried chicken wings. I've never seen karage like that before. We ordered the hibachi steak and hibachi chicken. I knew for a fact that these were not hibachi. They tasted like it was reheated in the microwave, that's how bad it was. I'm not sure who's running this place and who's behind the kitchen, but this was the worst restaurant we've ever been to. Some tables are live Hibaci (chef cooks in front of you) with mandatory tipping at cook table. There are regular tables. The menu is standard sushi, rolls, sashmi, with an extensive drink menu. I have been frequenting Saito's my whole life at the Wellington, FL location. To begin, I had made a reservation 1 month before the date we were planning on eating here (20 person party). I then went in on Friday 7/17 to confirm the reservation for 7/20. Off the bat, the hostess was EXTREMELY rude and not receptive. I gave them the party size again and the time and date just to confirm (they scribbled it onto a piece of paper). Then I call the day before to confirm the reservation again and to make sure they will allow me to bring a cake. I also asked "do you cut the cake for us?" They responded with a resounding yes and I even asked if it cost anything, they said "not at all". Fast forward to the day of the reservation. My partner and I walk into Saito's, we are met with the same no energy, clearly hates her job hostess. Whom seems very confused about the reservation and just rolls her eyes and says it isn't on their sheet. The hostess clearly didn't care nor did she say a word, just rolling her eyes. They took the cake and we hit the bar to waste some time while waiting on the rest of our party. The bartender was EXTREMELY slow, like slowest I have ever seen. Drinks were good, but there is definitely a lack of skill on this. We sit down had an amazing dinner, the chef and food were great. Now time for the cake, low and behold they don't cut the cake. We are forced to now cut this cake and pass out slices to the large party. I don't know who hired this hostess, I will redact her name and what she looks like... But she does not belong. read more

I've been to several different hibachi style restaurants; and I think Saito is my new favorite. It's quite a large restaurant located in Dania Pointe. It has a beautiful interior full of cherry blossom trees, a red bridge, lanterns and a koi pond. There are many hibachi tables as well as regular tables and a full bar. We had 5 in our party and went on a Thursday night to celebrate a birthday. They do not take reservations, but we had no problem getting a hibachi table immediately. The table looked like most other hibachi style restaurant tables, but the ceramic plates were very pretty. There was a really cool large menu that rolled down from the ceiling like a movie screen. They offer all the traditional hibachi dinners; chicken steak, shrimp, fish, lobster, and all kinds of combinations. The dinners come with a side of miso soup and a salad with ginger dressing. The prices are similar to other hibachi restaurants ($24-$65.). Our orders were taken almost immediately after we sat down. And then after ordering, we were delivered our soups and salads right away. The miso soup was very hot and quite good. The ginger salad was also delicious. We ordered an additional appetizer of edamame that was just OK. I had the chicken dinner and paid the extra few $ for fried rice. Our chef did all the usual tricks; beating heart of rice, volcano, etc. the chicken was good, not fantastic, but it was a huge portion. A few people in our party had the shrimp and scallops combination dinner; and they both said it was fabulous! Saito has such a central location. It is easy to access from pretty much anywhere in Broward or North Dade. The parking is free and the service was excellent. I'm hoping Saito will be around for a long time! read more

Saito's is what I refer to as a hit or miss. I have been there about 3x now and each time was a totally different experience. The restaurant is pretty with a large koy pond wrapping around the interior of the restaurant The first time was ok, no issues and decent service. The 2nd time not one single person came to greet us. Although they don't take reservations here, we walked right in and there was a table available after about 5 minutes. They do the normal entertainment for hibachi and the portions are huge. My daughter loves it when they do the onion volcano, of course. I got the chicken and steak combo and it was delicious. It's a busy restaurant so you can expect it to be noisy but it overwhelming, at least for me. Whenever I am craving hibachi, this is my go to. It's in a great location with live entertainment for kids on the weekends and lots of shops, the improv, bowling alley and movie theater if you want to make a full date night. Many people have raved about Saitos. I decided to try it out a few days ago. I am very impressed and I highly recommend this restaurant. The interior is designed like an Asian garden with ponds of koy fish. There are ample number of hibachi areas where the menu scrolls down from the ceiling, several tables not for hibachi, and a good-sized bar area. The items on the hibachi menu include lobster, which is different from the other Japanese steakhouses I have visited. I had the calamari and steak hibachi dinner. It comes with soup, salad, 2 shrimp, and whatever selection you choose. The yum yum sauce is yum yum!!!! The restaurant is located on the north end of Dania Point, and there is tons of parking. Located inside Dania Pointe, this Japanese hibachi / steakhouse is on the corner, backside or the north end of the plaza facing I-95. I'm giving this place 4 stars for the food but service would probably be a shaky 3. While the inside is unique and definitely themed, I think a lot of useful space is used to make this design and koi pond. There is a bar, regular table seats, and hibachi table/show seats. Even though the hibachi tables are at one end, if you are in the regular seats, it's still pretty loud with the hibachi tapping bouncing of the high ceilings. We went on a Weds evening and the large restaurant was fairly empty. Our server was nice but extremely slow and sometimes a bit hard to understand. Not much in the way of timely table touches and beverage refills. The food itself was tasty as you'd expect from hibachi. The scallops were probably the surprise standout and the green tea lemonade was the disappointment. I'd maybe like to return, but I'd be nervous to do so on a typical busy night. read more

I'm going to say I was pleasantly surprised by Saitos. When my husband and I went to the bar while we waited for our table, it seemed as they were overwhelmed. Once we were seated we noted plastic plates and very basic utensils. My husband was quick to say he didn't think we'd be coming back.
