I wanted pasta for lunch so decided to check this place out since it was close to work. I love that they're located at Next Level with a private parking lot. I decided to order the Chicken Alfredo and had high expectations, yet I was not impressed. The alfredo sauce was a bit bland and noodles had a "raw" taste, were very chewy and not al dente at all. I really wanted to like this place and love supporting small businesses, but hopefully this was just a minor issue that can be resolved as I do see that most patrons really enjoyed their pasta. Phenomenal. I ordered the spicy bolognese and my daughter had the butter noodles. Both were outstanding. They asked how hot I wanted the bolognese (never been asked that before), so I said hot, and they absolutely delivered. Portion was a good size and satiated me. The sauce and meat are rich, hearty, and deeply savory. The pasta has the perfect bite. Easily the best pasta I've ever had, which caught me off guard because I only expected to be full. Guy below me talking about the bolognese is on point about it being like a hot sauce applied but I don't care: delicious is delicious. Little food truck next to Next Level, which serves hungry Pinball fans. Service was prompt and friendly, though hearing "oh, only 2 minutes" should have been a warning sign. Ordered the "spicy bolognese". Was not offered a separate protein. The noodles were decent. Fresh, on the thicker side, reminiscent of alkaline noodles like you'd find in a ramen. To call the sauce a bolognese would be insulting to a tank top wearing Italian-American from New Jersey, let alone an actual Italian. It was essentially hamburger in an oily vaguely tomato sauce. The greatest sin was the source of heat: Tabasco, applied liberally, giving everything the distinctive vinegary tang that'd be welcome in a bloody mary or on eggs, but was out of place here. Maybe I committed a grave error by expecting more from a food truck in Oregon. I'm not sure if I'll ever be back to see if that's the case. read more

Perfect name, cuz we loooved our pasta. We ran here Sunday night, I've been meaning to try it for a while. Luckily no wait that night. I wanted chicken Alfredo but he was out of chicken, so we opted for steak. I added broccoli to mine, and my husband added mushrooms and tomato. We also grabbed some breadsticks, of course. The food was ready fast, and although we brought it home it was still piping hot when we arrived. The pasta was FABULOUS...hands down the best pasta we've had in the area. So incredibly flavorful, and although I'd wanted chicken the steak was perfectly cooked and tasty. No complaints, only love for Love Pasta! We will be back. :) read more

I dont like writing negative reviews but we are not serving the community unless we are honest. From all the stellar reviews, I was expecting to thoroughly enjoy my meal from Love Pasta. Sadly, that was not the case. The noodles were too chewy and clumped together. The marinara tasted like something out of a jar. If the gravy is indeed made from scratch, I can only say that it was bland and uninspired. I got the "Create your own pasta" with marinara. I paid for extra sauce (mistake) and added broccoli. Most of the items on Love Pasta's menu are meat based so my choices were limited as a vegetarian. Perhaps the meat dishes have more character. I also got the Veggie Medley dish again with marinara. Both items were packaged nicely and looked tempting when I got them home. But that is where the excitement ended. I grew up in upstate NY surrounded by Italian neighbors whose kitchens produce food that fine restaurants can't match. So it's understandable when an italian food cart in Oregon doesn't impress me. Overall great but a few things could have been kicked up a notch. It's been over a month so I don't remember any specifics of what we ordered now. I think most of it came down to the fact that I went to pick the food up then drove it home and it took me longer to get to the cart than I intended so the time between it being made and eaten was longer than ideal. Pasta is usually best eaten right away and I think it would have been better if I was just eating it there. I'll definitely go back to give it another try. read more

Decent selection of italian sodas also. Food was ready in 15-20 minutes. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. I appreciate that. Pretty disappointed after reading all the rave reviews. Had the chicken Alfredo and Blue Raspberry Italian Soda. The pasta was good but the chicken was definitely dry and the top of the Alfredo had that "food warmer" feel on top that had a crust and was slightly crispy. Ratings might have had my hope up but I would "overpay" for good Italian food. The sauce itself was great and the noodles were cooked perfectly. If not for the chicken and crusty top it might have been spectacular. The Italian Soda was very separated and after trying to stir it ended up with most the flavor in the first drink. read more

Wow. Totally fell in love with this place and the owner. The pasta is fresh made along with the sauce and it's so good! I tried the shrimp and steak alfredo and really enjoyed it. It was perfectly creamy and not runny at all. Some of the alfredo that I've tried in the area is too creamy and fills you up after a couple bites but this place was perfectly done. The pasta is firm and chewy and you can taste that it's been made to order. I plan to return soon to try the bolognese one :) Also! The owner was sooo nice! He opened this place up in the midst of all that's going on lately so I can't even imagine the hardships it's put on the business. Came here while taking a break from the amazing arcade next door. The cart was busy that night but guy gave me a nice 30 min time frame when the food would be ready. I ordered the chicken alfredo and OH MAN it was perfect. I had been in game mode for at least two hours so I was starving. I'm seriously so confused on how this place has such a high rating. My partner and I were so hungry before going into Next Level, but knew that we would be eating dinner 2-3 hours later so we decided to give this place a try. We built our own pasta with alfredo, chicken & broccoli & got breadsticks. Our meal tasted like a cross over of reheated 3 day old leftovers & hospital food. I took one bite of the chicken and had to spit it out. It was so dry and had no flavor. Then I took a bite of the pasta with Alfredo and had to spit that out too. It tasted like it was cooked in dirty mop water, left in the fridge for a few days and reheated for 10 minutes in a microwave. My partner kept taking bites (because he was starving & honestly he hates wasting food) and I could barely watch him. By his 5th bite he turned white & it finally sunk in for him-- he said I was right it really does taste like it was cooked in dirty water. It looked and tasted like a really shitty lean cuisine type of meal but one you would buy from dollar tree. We didn't even stay at Next Level... He threw up in the bathrooms & we went home. I ordered a build your own pasta via Ubereats and it turned out so good! I highly recommend making a steak alfredo with extra steak. The steak was really juicy and had a wonderful flavor. The sauce was good too. I also ordered a lavender coke because how could I resist? It was delicious! I want to try the almond roca next! I had to treat myself with dessert too, so I ordered the cheesecake and it had a really nice crust and flavor. They also included a really sweet note that made my whole week. There is an art to the perfect pasta dish. The pasta needs to be prepared with care and rolled nice and thin before cutting. The sauce should be rich and thick while perfectly coating each strand of freshly prepared pasta. Few places have the ability to provide both in the same dish. Some focus only on the pasta while some only focus on the sauce. This is not one of those places. I had the spicy bolognese while my fiancee had the steak pesto. The bolognese was spicy, but wasn't overbearing. The complexity allowed for each flavor to shine through while the spice came through at the end to remind you it was there. The pasta was perfectly prepared with just the right amount of chew. My fiancées pesto was so good she was hesitant to allow me a bite. The bite I was allowed was composed of a perfectly cooked steak and a homemade pesto, along with the same excellently prepared pasta. The bread stick was good enough on its own that I didn't want to ruin the flavor by dipping it in my leftover sauce, but I did. The italian soda was light and refreshing without being sickly sweet. They have many meat options & quality choices for vegetarians( it's the spinach for me). There's even a "Make your Own" option!! Any place that doesn't understand that Spaghetti is a type of pasta can't be a good pasta place. "Our take on spaghetti" without spaghetti is not a thing. You can't take marinara sauce and toss it over fettuccini and call it spaghetti. Fettuccini is Fettuccini. Words mean something, and spaghetti noodles are different than fettuccini noodles - and what makes spaghetti spaghetti is not the sauce. Your "take on spaghetti" is literally fettuccini marinara, don't call it spaghetti. You might as well sell a hamburger with ketchup and call it spaghetti. read more

Oh. My. Word. Ordered Love Pasta last night through Uber eats and wow was I impressed. First off, who writes a handwritten thank you note? No one, except Love Pasta. I opened my bag and there was a little heart sticky note with a thank you for ordering. Great. Touch. I'm fairly picky with my pasta dishes since I'm married to a chef and can pretty much have gourmet meals any night of the week. This place is above and beyond my standards. I have a gluten sensitivity and their gf pasta is to die for. The Alfredo sauce was perfectly seasoned and not too salty like most can be, and the broccoli was cooked to perfection. My ONLY complaint was that the chicken was a little more dry than I would have liked, BUT it was masked by everything else being phenomenal. Wow! I saw all the great reviews for this pasta truck, so we decided to try it last night. My husband, son and I are all in love with the pasta here! It's so fresh and delicious! My son had the spaghetti and he loved the sauce! My husband had the amazing pesto with steak on top. I had the cacio e Pepe with shrimp on it and we also got their fresh breadsticks and spinach balsamic salad with steak. Oh my goodness! One of the best meals ever! I used to get really amazing Italian food all the time when I lived in San Francisco and hadn't yet found a place here that could compare. But Love Pasta finally did it!! My husband and I did the create your own pasta and he got the fettuccine with marinara, ground beef and pork sausage. I got the fettuccine with Alfredo and mushrooms and it was just so flavorful!! My husband immediately said the meat was really delicious and everything tasted so fresh and handmade. Everything came perfectly packaged along with a really thoughtful handwritten note! We ordered two of the custom cokes, which were delicious, and they were even kind enough to give us an extra can of coke!
