This place is amazing. Best bread and baked items ever! Worth the wait! There is a line before opening most days, but it goes fast. You can preorder, but still have to stand in line. I was sent here by Land and water coffee after asking where the incredible bread from their avocado toast was from! This Boulangerie feels like I've been transported to my favorite boulangerie in Paris, maybe it had something to do with the woman who helped me having a French accident. I happened to walk by a long line of folks waiting to enter a business, we were looking for a quick sandwich before heading back to SRMH. I was curious but also wanted to see if this was a line for the restaurant I intended to go to. As I walked by, I saw it was Goguette Boulangerie. And there was easily 20 people lined up waiting for it's opening. My aunt & I ordered food next door, then sat at a bistro table outside waiting for our order. We both commented how amazing the bread smelled. We saw the staff open up & greet everyone, explain next week's hours will be altered due to the holiday. Then a gentleman with a basket and started offering everyone in line a sample of special chocolate bread, warm & fresh from the oven. As I watched the line continue to grow, I said I have to see what is going on in there! I got in line, I quickly realized I was amongst well-known regular customers all around! Speaking French, speaking of families, familiar welcomes, it was beautiful! Very much reminded me of our trips to France & Italy I bought a few different breads, that are as delicious as you would expect! The quality of the bread was good but for the price I'm not sure if it's worth it. I've had better baguettes from other bakeries for a fraction of the price. I often get in trouble because I am not always able to resist the temptation to tear off just a little morsel of bread to taste on the way home. QC testing is difficult...and someone must do it. TL;DR - Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!! Go there now if you can and enjoy the best bread in Sonoma County and possibly California!!! How is it possible that I have never heard of this place for the last five years? I have been missing out on a slice of old Europe. A work colleague mentioned this place to me so I decided to pick my wife up a surprise since she is European and loves European-style bread. I happened to show up around 1:20 pm not realizing they didn't open until 1:30. It was a little hidden in a strip mall so I had to use Google Maps to direct me to the door. What luck! There were already several people in line, so I went to the back to wait until they opened. By the time they opened the doors, there were about 15 people in line on a Thursday afternoon. The owner came out and greeted everybody in french and posted the daily menu. I noticed many ahead of me had ordered online and were just picking up. I recommend this option since they explain every option online and have wonderful pictures. When it was my time to order, I didn't really know what I wanted so I quickly chose a baguette, and full seeded loaf, and four rolls with sesame seeds that the guy in front of me raved about. The total was about $20, which is fair for the quality they offer. On the way home, I couldn't resist trying one of the rolls. Holy crap was it delicious. I hurried home to surprise my wife with a turkey pesto sandwich made from the same roll. She loved it, but her real favorite was the seeded loaf which reminded her of the bread from Europe. I ended up eating about half the baguette myself with just olive oil. It had the perfect mix of chewy and crusty textures. Truly divine. Needless to say, I will be returning for round two soon. read more

I stumbled upon this delicious bakery during a short trip to Santa Rosa, and now I'm going to have to convince myself not to take the 4-hour round trip trek every weekend. Wow, this place is GOOD. I can't even imagine how plump I'd be if it were nearer to me. We got the pain de Ville which is their original and the cheri chocolate, and they're both to die for. We sampled the red wine walnut and the sesame as well, and I'd have been just as happy with one of them. I think I'd be happy with just about anything from there! The pain de ville is deliciously soft on the inside and chewy on the outside. The cheri chocolate has been chunks of cherries that were soaked in brandy prior to being baked in. All the individuals I saw in there were excited to get their orders. One family told me they come all the way from Napa so you better believe this place is good. Santa Rosa hidden gem! I've lived in the area all my life driven past this shopping center - heck love the Italian place a few doors down... never knew this bakery existed! Hours are limited and not typical so check. You can order bread ahead of time!! We were at the hospital and stopped by on chance they may be open (1:40 pm). They had opened at 130 and the line was out the door. The bread was beautifully placed on tables and racks. One rack dedicated to reserved orders. Three people in line were talking about the chocolate cherry bread - it's a smaller dessert loaf we got it and it's amazing. Dark melted chocolate with brandied cherries. Would be amazing with a Port wine or we had a beautiful coffee liquor from Hawaii. We would get this again and bring to a dinner party. Our intention was to get a nice crusty bread for soup (dinner) the lovely woman who worked there recommended this beautiful loaf . It was soft and moist and delicious the crust perfect. Our neighbor had us pick up an apple fig loaf with pumpkin seeds .. again perfect and special. Did I die and go to heaven? Anyone who knows me knows my favorite thing in the world is some good old bread and butter/cheese. I happened to be in the area with a friend who is a local and she excitedly took me here. All traditional breads from France. The owner, Najin (sorry if I spelled that wrong) is such a sweetheart! She reminds me of my French cousin who is incredibly kind and has great energy. We got there close to closing and there was still a good variety of bread left. We sampled the cheese bread and chocolate bread which were both incredible! We definitely bought two cheese breads, an epi bread, and an olive loaf. She was also sweet enough to gift us a pain de ville, which was bigger than the size of my thigh, as it was her husband's favorite from his village in France. Even though I live in SF, I will most definitely be returning to this bakery and recommending it to everyone I know! It's a much shorter trip than flying to France! read more

Bread does not get better than this in my experience. I have a health condition in which most bread makes me very sick. Everything from this bakery, however, not only does not make me feel sick, but I believe is making me healthier overall. It is said that this long fermentation technique allows you to improve your intestinal biome, which allows you to absorb minerals from your food better. I believe it. I feel much stronger. Even my nails and hair are improving. For me this bread is a must, but even if you don't need it the way I do, I recommend it for the culinary pleasure (which is extremely excellent). When I posted previously I was complaining about the limited hours which I consider a bad customer relations situation and I still do, BUT!! The products took me back to the real European breads and I am now a confirmed customer.
