Ahoy Mateys! A Tale of Two Adventures at Pirate Cove in North Texas…read more Arrrr, gather 'round and hear this pirate's tale of feasting and frolicking at Pirate Cove in North Texas! ‍The Grub: - **Crew Size: 4 hungry souls - **Ship: Air-conditioned, ample seating for all Rations Ordered: - Cheese pizza - Grilled cheese - Cheeseburger - Nachos Would I spend my treasure on the food here again? Nay! Here be the verdict: - The pizza had a soggy bottom that would make a ship sink. - The burger was chewier than a sea monster's tentacle. - The nachos were surprisingly good, but hey, even a pirate can't mess up gas station nachos! -There is an arcade inside next to the food that is tons of fun and in the air conditioned building! Sodas: $3 with free refills - definitely worth plundering! The best part is the indoor, air-conditioned hideout. Perfect for escaping the blazing sun and resting your sunburnt bodies. **The Water Park:** - Price: Great value for yer doubloons - Lifeguards: Plenty, and actually doing their job. Some liked to just yell at the adults for fun I think. - Slides: A barrel of fun! - Water: Clean as the seven seas - First Aid:Quick and helpful, even fixed a bloody nose from a flying basketball (Arrr, beware the airborne balls of doom!) **The Bummers:** - Ye have to pay for a float for the lazy river, unless ye be lucky enough to snag a stray one floating by. - They have lockers ye can rent, but bring yer own lock and use it for free, savvy? At least that's what this pirate did. So, if ye be heading to Pirate Cove, pack your own grub, enjoy the refreshing beverages, DONT forget the sunblock and have a swashbuckling good time at the water park. Just beware of soggy pizza and chewy burgers, me hearties! #PirateLife #WaterAdventures #SunburntButHappy

So this was my first time at Epic, and I came on a 21 and up night. I appreciate that they have a…read morehuge parking lot, which made it easy to find parking and make it inside. So first of all, I love that there were no kids running around and it was a grown and sexy vibe, they had a DJ and they had different areas that were selling drinks and food I believe. So when I have seen commercials, I will admit that I thought that the lazy river was bigger and I thought there were more rides. The night I went, not all the rides were opened, I don't know if that's because it was a grown party or if they didn't have enough lifeguards. Regardless though, I had a great time, I hang out with my friends for about 2 hours. There was one point, where there was a big group between the wave runner and the lazy river that were having a dance party and doing line dances. I was able to get discounted tickets because we bought them early, so if I have the opportunity to do it again, I definitely would.

I don't think regular pricing reflects the experience, so we wait for deals and go in the off season, spring break in the summer is crazy packed unless you go right at open in a weekday, and even then lines get long before noon. I would never go on a weekend. It is also incredibly humid so bring tons of water, more than you would think. The rises are great, the staff is well trained and super sweet, and the side activities or entertainment they get occasionally is always a great addition. The crowding really does take away from the experience though.

A Lawsuit Waiting to Happen - Overpriced and Unsafe If you…read moreare thinking about bringing your kids--especially teenagers--to Nerfies, save your money. This place is incredibly disorganized and honestly feels like a lawsuit waiting to happen. For the amount of money you spend to get in, absolutely nothing here is worth it. Here is what you need to know before you go: * Zero Staff Supervision: There are no staff members supervising the bounce room or the shooting area. Because of this, little kids are running wild with guns everywhere. * Not Teen-Friendly: Because the facility is overrun with unsupervised "littles," teenagers do not have a dedicated or safe place to actually play. If you have older kids, this is definitely not the place for you. * Broken Games: The "video game" area is a joke. They only have 12 older games, and only 4 of them actually work. * No Basic Amenities: There is absolutely nowhere to put your shoes. On top of that, they do not offer any food or drinks for sale, meaning you have to haul everything in yourself. Save yourself the headache and the money. We will not be returning.

Came here to do something different and honestly was not impressed…read more It was neat that they do play cards like an arcade but beware, they have over scanned my card and I'm glad I downloaded the Magic Play app to keep track of my plays. I'm not sure if this is possible but if you purchased a card, it cost $2.. then it cost another $2 to be able to scan with your phone. Can someone verify if I just download the app that can purchase an an electronic card without having to buy a physical card? The rides were extremely fast and rushed. It was hard to enjoy the Ferris Wheel because you couldn't enjoy the view with how fast it was going. I spent more in an hour than I would at the Texas state fair. This place was alright. Won't come back.

My husband and I were waiting next to a booth that no one was in so I decided to pick up the ducks just to see how to play a game. Someone starts yelling behind me. We turned around and this guy named Ed comes straight up to my husband and starts yelling IN HIS FACE saying that we can't touch the ducks, That's cheating. My husband was telling him we weren't going to play the game anyway and to just calm down. Ed is yelling loud at this point, everyone is watching, so I ask him what his name is and he said that his name is Ed in the most RUDEST way I have ever experienced in my life. Apparently he owns Talley, I'm not quite sure, but he started degrading us telling us in front of the public that we must not know about Carnival games and my husband said, well why don't you just tell us instead of yelling at us and so we decide to walk away from the situation. ONCE WE WALK AWAY THIS MAN FOLLOWS US AND STARTS HARASSING US! Taking PICTURES of us WITHOUT consent!!!! Tells me I must have a problem. I told him no sir you are the one with the problem screaming at people instead of being kind.

I always struggle reviewing businesses and separating the people working (who were great), from the…read morerides (which were sparse) and the location (which was abysmal since it could take over 2 hours to leave the parking lot). So with that said I'd like to level set what you should expect. The park is clean, reasonably priced, and has about 4 rides you'll write home about. The park is mainly limited by space since it's in the greater Dallas area. It was fun and you'll make memories. But it's best to take this park for what it is and not compare it to other parks. It's great for 4-7 hours.

After paying…read more$42 for parking we entered the park hassle free, we were not given any physical indication that we were fast pass which is odd. This park relies on technology to work which blows my mind when it comes to customer service. Well 3hrs into the park, rides were closed or not working. Finally got to a ride that was and sure enough the digital pass doesn't want to work since apparently it has to be scanned at every ride. God forbid someone take the fast lane that shouldn't be there. Although my tickets said fast pass, the date and order number, we were told we need to exit the ride and go to customer service. Customer service if you can even call it that is also useless. I was told by 2 different workers that they "unfortunately don't do refunds" oh you bet your ass you're going to give me a refund. I did not pay $350 for nothing. I continued to ask for rank up until I was talking with the regional manager that finally said she'd get me a refund. But not for parking. I asked for a card to contact corporate. Who never responded until I made a Google review. Finally they tell me no refund for parking. Although they were at fault. Nothing to sweeten the deal. I don't care about the money as much as principle. I worked in customer service for 10 years hell even as a construction project manager I'm still in customer service. This right here is not service. This park absolutely sucks. Don't waste your money or time, they don't respect yours. So disappointing. I was really looking forward to this too. Typical business profit over people. I won't be sad to see them go out of business, I'll build a data center right where they are at.
