This was an absolutely wonderful experience. Lots of learning opportunities for the kids, every kid we saw was totally engaged and excited. Not all job sites are open at once but the QR code which led to the live schedule made it very easy to plan ahead on what to do. We went on a Thursday and it wasn't too hectic, plenty of opportunities to do different activities and no long waits. Generally, there was one staff per room which is plenty when the maximum kids allowed was 6. In the rooms where they allowed 10 or more, there were 2 or 3 staff. Wristbands and credit cards kept everything well organized, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire site was very clean. Highly recommend for an educational and entertaining experience. Fun fact - the airplane that you see at the entrance is a refurbished real plane donated by American Airlines, and you go inside the plane for the pilot training which had an impressive flight simulator. read more

I took my godchildren to KidZania, and they had an absolute blast! From start to finish, they were engaged, having fun, and learning through all the different interactive experiences. That said, navigating the activities could be a bit confusing at times. It would be really helpful if there were a more structured flow or even a chaperone to guide families through the different experiences. Also, some of the features weren't open, and it wasn't always clear when kids could participate in certain activities. If it wasn't for Regan we would have been completely lost Even with that, the kids truly enjoyed themselves, which made it worth it. It really feels like checking into a whole little city which is such a neat and creative concept for kids! I haven't seen anything quite like it. Everything is so well thought out: there are eateries where kids can make their own pizza or learn how yogurt is made (and then enjoy it!), a gym, pest control station, bank, fire station, theatre, news set, Spotify recording studio, flight simulator, the list truly goes on. How cute is it to "check in" at an airport security line? I absolutely loved that concept as it was both a clever and immersive touch! However I'd like to think it was meant to function as a real security checkpoint as well, but I did notice that even when alarms went off, people weren't actually checked. Entering a place full of kids, that was a bit concerning. It's a great idea, but I hope they take that extra step to ensure it's not just for show and that safety is truly prioritized. I also appreciated that it wasn't overly crowded during our visit, which made the experience much more enjoyable. From chatting with others, it sounds like that's not always the case, and I can imagine it would feel overwhelming if it were packed. That said, I do wish more of the "establishments" and activities had been open. It seemed extremely short-staffed, and quite a few areas were closed or without staff to guide the kids. I would've loved to see the theatre in use, the taco stands open, and the upstairs space available -all of those plus many others were closed during our visit. For the activities that were open, the staff seemed stretched thin and outnumbered by the children. There really needs to be a better system for timing and scheduling. Maybe a sign-up or reservation system for each activity would help -- running from line to line only to be told it's full (or canceled) gets frustrating. I think that's what the Fast Passes were meant for, but even then, breaking up groups that had already been waiting together felt inconvenient. Allowing everyone to reserve activity times would make for a smoother, more enjoyable experience for guests and staff alike. The wristbands were a great idea, definitely appreciated and necessary. They keep parents and kids honest about ages and ensure kids only join age-appropriate activities. They also track their "earnings" and likely serve as a security measure too, which I loved. However, with the short staffing, there needs to be a better process for scanning them in and out of each area. Waiting for scans, especially on the way out, delayed us from getting to our next scheduled activity several times. The adults only IKEA inspired lounge was a nice touch for those with slightly older children who can run around more independently. For the age group I was with, and given how unorganized the staff and session timings were, there was no way we could've left their side but I can definitely see that space being a great perk for other adults. This is what I could understand adults being charged for, outside of being able to simply get away with it as you can't and wouldn't send your children in unattended, I don't understand adult entrance fees. Other than it being a deterrent for those who do not have children to enter with. It would also be nice for maybe an informative video before entering to make kids aware of "earning" and what deducts from their total points, what's available to do, etc. almost like a "briefing before heading into the city" It's a fun and clever concept overall, but I think a few operational, staffing, and security improvements could make it truly exceptional. We came here for my daughter's field trip and had such high hopes for this place since we were going to be the only school here. Wrong very wrong. Our school is large and we had a whole bunch of groups, this place was not prepared staff wise. None of the places opened inside for over an hour of being there so groups were lined up at two locations. The kids spent most of the day walking around or waiting in line. Once the other places opened only like 5 opened up. There was nothing to do kids were getting restless and overall it was a terrible experience. KidZania is extremely expensive especially since you have to pay for the adults as well. Kids get to hop around to different occupations to try their hands at different vocations. There are a limited amount of seats so you have to wait in line for some of the more popular careers. Each session is about 15-20 minutes long. You can do anything from being a musician to a firefighter to a podcaster. You can earn "money" doing some jobs (i.e. Veterinarian, Hair Stylist, Athlete), but you have to pay for others (i.e. Pilot, Chef, Baker). I would recommend this place for kids between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. If you have any money left, you can purchase prizes like candies and toys. The prize shop isn't worth going to unless you have racked up a lot of money over several visits to KidZania. The food court is tiny as the only options were pizza or popcorn. The taco shop was closed when we went. If you want the kids to learn how to make pizza, you have to pay extra for that (~$12). Basically, kids run around and have fun while parents wait idly until they're done "working." If the parents don't get to participate, why make them pay so much? read more

We drove 4.5 hours to visit the KidZania Dallas location and paid for first-class admission, expecting a full experience. Instead, the facility appeared severely understaffed and poorly managed. When we arrived, there was no organized system for managing the line. No staff directing guests, no clear order of entry, and complete confusion about who should be served first. Despite already being in line, we waited over 1.5 hours just to receive wristbands. To make matters worse, they refused to honor the military discount, even though we were already waiting in line. Once inside, the problems continued: * At least 15 activity stations were closed * Many stations had no staff available to run them * The pizza-making activity was unavailable because there was no employee to operate it * For an all-day ticket, my children were only able to participate in about five activities For the price being charged, this is completely unacceptable. If the facility does not have enough employees to operate the experience, management should: * Limit entry to reservations only * Offer discounted admission when large portions are closed * Communicate operational issues before guests arrive * Or close for the day instead of charging families full price We have visited KidZania Dubai, and the difference is night and day. That location is fully staffed, organized, and delivers the experience the brand promises. The Dallas location does not come close. This location needs serious management improvements or better staffing incentives to ensure employees show up and the facility actually operates. Until that happens, I cannot recommend KidZania Dallas. Families should not spend hundreds of dollars for an experience where most activities are closed. Save your time and money. read more

I would love to give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately I cannot. Very cute concept and the kids seemed to really like it. Went on a field trip which included our school and 2 other schools. Check in process was smooth and quick. Once inside the kids are free to go to any job. Most of the jobs were closed which really sucked. The main attraction is the airport and it was closed. There were a handful of jobs open, causing long wait times. This is not a playground and the staff takes their time to teach the job and allow the kids to perform the job which is so cool. Tips: Bring cash! They give the kids money to start the jobs. Some jobs you earn money and some attractions you pay to play with the fake money. However, you have to have cash for 7 Eleven and Pie Five, not sure about the places that were not open. Advice: Hire more staff, make sure majority of the attractions are available, especially the airport. Cut down the time for the jobs to make lines go faster. Make sure people are getting their monies worth. Had I paid to go here, I'd ask for a refund. Will I go back? Absolutely! And would hope that more jobs are open. This place is a complete rip off, a waste of time and money. There are different stations for kids. Restaurants, dental office hospital, podcast, pet store, etc. Your entrance fee buys the kid some "z" dollars. Some stations cost money to enter, others the kids earn money. The problem is that lines are long so you wait for 30-45 minutes to get in. Then the kids listen to presentations. There is little actual physical activity. Kids can only do a couple of those and then they are bored or tired. They let in too few kids per group and presentations are too long. It took us a while to figure out what to do. There are no instructions and the whole thing is very poorly organized. It was not cheap, over $100 for 2 adults and a child to stand in lines. We got the cheapest admission. Plus, the bracelet you need to enter is $7 extra per person, not included in admission price. It's like buying an airline ticket that does not include a seat. The cheapest kid admission is $48. Adults are $15. Plus the $21 for bracelets to enter, and everything is taxed. It is not worth it. The only way that this place makes financial sense is if you do lots and lots of stops, but you can't because lines are so long. We were here for about 3.5 hours and did four activities. I would not recommend this place and wish we had saved our money. Complete disappointment and waste of money. There are very few activities for kids that I dislike. I strongly dislike this place. The wife agreed that it little more than a money making machine. The entire model needs to be re-thought. Presentations are way too long. If not be prepared to pay $17 for a crappy playground area that doesn't allow your toddler to do anything else!!! I took my grandkids here today after hearing what an awesome place it is. They were super excited. It was terrible. Let me start with tje good things first. It was very clean.....now onto the notbso good. The place is huge and has many different areas for them to ezplore but out of the 30 or more that they offer only about 10 were open. There were very few workers and they were working more than one station. They would have to close one to go run another. They dod not rotaye throughout the area to open more they just ran the same 10 or so stations. These tickets are not cheap to drive an hour and a half for you to not provide the service you advertise! The kids were so disappointed as was I. I love the concept but you are literally ripping people off. One worker told me that it has everything open on the weekend. We paid the same money as rhe weekend visitors! Many of the experiences are closed, and the ones that are open do not take groups back to back, which means that kids are waiting even longer than before to get in. Took my kids and the cost to get in is high, $49.95 for children (ages 4-14), $16.95 for toddlers (ages 2-3), and $16.95 for adults, with babies under 2 getting in free. And they limit the activities on age so ages 5 and below doesn't have much to do given this isn't a free play place. After going with my 6yr and 4yr I would say this place is more suited for 8-12yr. If this had a free play experience then the younger kids would have more fun. We spent more time walking around trying to find the next location of the next scheduled class than actually doing anything. It is pricey and it's silly that they charge for the parent to take up space waiting around for the kids. This place could be a really fun place for kiddos... Unfortunately, they have limited numbers on each of the rides due to lack of staff. Lines are long, for example, we have been here for two hours and are still in line for our second ride. We had a decent experience at KidZania Dallas, but there were a few areas that could use improvement. My child is 4 years old and still needs some assistance with tasks like handwashing. During the pizza and yogurt activities, the instructors didn't step in to help her, and I had to go in myself to assist. Some of the sinks also weren't working properly due to sensor issues, which made things more difficult. At check-in, we were told to skip the main line and head straight to the scanning station. While that helped speed things up, it would've been really helpful to have a greeter or staff member inside to guide us on what to do or where to go next--especially for first-time visitors. With a little more staff engagement and clearer direction, the experience could've been much smoother. read more

Kidzania was one of the things we were really looking forward to on our weekend in Frisco and we stopped in at the 2PM slot. I really do love the concept on what they are trying to do here, but frankly most of the time we spent there (nearly 3 hours) was spent waiting. I had in mind that many of the shops/stations would be more of what you see at some kids museums where kids can quickly experience the setting before moving to the next one. With most of the stations taking 6-8 kids and the duration lasting 15-25 minutes, and aren't staggered, so you and your little ones will spend quite a lot of time waiting. Not to say we didn't have fun! Our little one did enjoy the fire station and it makes sense for a station like that to have a wait time. That said, I just wish they had other stations/things to do that were more like games that were more fluid to break up the monotony of getting in line to wait at another station as even our little one was getting bored. So I don't if we would try out Kidzania again, I just don't feel like we actually were able to do much in the span of 3 hours for the price, given that it wasn't that busy. read more

I will say it's best to have more than one child join since only kids do the activities and adults just watch. They may want another kid to interact with. As for the adults, get your walking shoes and standing legs ready. There's few benches next to the activities the kids are doing. So you're standing idle 10-15-20 min at a time. So I want to start by mentioning that I have been to the KidZania located in Bangkok, Thailand with my niece about 10 years ago and it was AMAZING. The concept of this place is beyond cute and something I would have loved to do as a child so I wanted my 6 year old son to enjoy it. It's a small kid-sized city where the littles are able to engage in different career choices to earn money then they can use that money to pay for certain activities or prizes. I didn't expect the experience to be quite the same (USA v Asia) but there's definitely some lacking that should be brought to attention. The biggest issue I had with this place was the attitude amongst majority of the staff (there were a couple of fun ones), you can tell just how much they don't want to be there or deal with children. Couple this with the fact that not all job sites are open and the wait time for certain activities can be 30+ minutes which is an eternity to elementary school aged children (lol), it is an okay play place but it doesn't warrant more than a 3-star rating IMO. If you have the money (it's quite costly), I would say it's worth a go because watching my baby pretend to be a newscaster, dentist, surgeon, chef, and more was worth it to me. I'd love if the staffing could be improved upon and I would happily increase my rating. TIP: Get your money's worth by going from open-close. read more

Kids review from a 8 and 7 year old: it was pretty boring. The workers weren't helpful, we waited really long time for every thing. The prizes were lame, there wasn't anything we wanted Parents review: horrendous execution. Wait in line, but not given wristbands, back in line, get wristbands but the employee forgot to give the money- back in line. Zero explanation how anything works. So here's how it works: purchase an overpriced ticket- yes even for parents who are just standing around because there is no where to sit near your kids. Stand in a line- each line lasts AT LEAST 20 minutes, then the activity for 4+ lasts another 20 minutes. Get money for doing "jobs." Spend money at the end in the department store, mind you ONE smarties candy may be all you can afford after 4 hours of work. Now here's where explanation helps which the staff can't seem to manage- if you have an under 4 and over 4 children- they can't do any activities together. There is a toddler time and then a children's time slot. The staff's solution: stay with the toddler and let your other child go around by themselves because it's an enclosed space. That's what one employee said. This is not an enclosed space- you have direct access to the mall, so many places to hide + an upstairs. You are not finding your 4 year old quickly. So you will be stuck waiting for the children's timeslot and the toddler one. Not all activities are open, many were closed due to staffing. There is only about 4-8 kids that will be allowed in at a time. The activities don't start one after another for the age requirements- for example, 4:00 may be the wait time for 4-12 and then 4:30 is the wait time for under 4. Scan the QR code for the wait times and open activities But my advice is don't get. It's so expensive, poorly staffed, poorly executed. Ok, this place is amazing. I was so skeptical because of the price and it's being in a mall, but I so wish something like this had existed when I was a kid. First, you enter through a mini airport that is very realistic, getting your tickets at the check in desk from an attendant and going through security. You'll also eventually exit similarly, through Departures, where they scan each exiting person's wristband, so no fears of your kid escaping alone! The inside is a kid-sized city full of tall buildings and every business a kid could dream of. A hospital with an MRI, NIcu, nursery, surgery room and ambulance, a vet, a hair salon, a fashion show, a theatre, an eye doctor, a dentist, pest control, a firetruck, chocolate factory, guac shop, bakery, flight school, recycling center, construction site, news station, media center, influencer photoshoot, sports recovery center, police station/forensic science center, and so many more I truly can't remember. It's all laid out in a street grid intermixed with cafés for food and drink stops. We were there for more than four hours and still had plenty left undone for another day! Each kid is given 50 "dollars" at the start and they can either earn or spend money at each location. If they attend kidzania college they get a degree, which allows them to earn more. And don't worry about going broke...it would be pretty hard for a kid to run out of those fifty bucks, and they can always earn more. Many of the locations leave them with an extra food item or treat to eat, which really helps the value of the entry fee feel worth it. There is a map and a schedule posted in several places and also online with a running list of when activities are next expected to start. Your kid heads to the desired building and waits outside to be let in for the next shift. We went on a Wed around noon and only had to wait for one or two activities, all the rest we were able to get in quickly with the next group. I was worried it would be crowded, but there were many times our group was the only one in a location! Parents, note that you're required to wait outside the "shops" during activities, but you're able to see very easily what's going on through the windows. There is one or more staff running each activity and the spots are limited to manageable sizes. Our kids (ages 9, 8, 7, and 4) had a blast, though the four year old needed assistance at times, which staff were pretty great about. Still, we were there for four hours and they each did 6-9 activities. The downsides: I really wish someone had explained the schedule/map when we entered, because we started out just interrupting tons of activities by opening doors because the signs outside weren't displaying correct information. Parents have to pay to get in, and don't have much to do. If you're a parent who loves to watch your kid enjoying themself, you'll have fun. If not, you might get bored, though there is a nice parent's lounge upstairs that had tvs and a couple sleeping parents in it. The shop where kids can spend their "money" at the end needs more options, but the staff member inside was very kind about helping find the right items. Overall, the staff members were excellent at their jobs, though there was one guy in the hair salon at the beginning who seemed only interested in getting off his shift. The other 95% of them were fantastic. If you have a kid who is super shy or clingy, they may have trouble here, since parents need to wait outside (in sight, but not in hearing). If you have an especially active one, they may have trouble participating in the more calm activities, but staff may also be trained for this and I just didn't experience it. My kids give this place 1 million stars. They had an amazing time. We did a three day "season pass" (3 visits in 90 days). We did 3 visits in 5 days and they would have gone all 5 days if they could have. It's a really impressive concept and I loved that they could really have some independence and navigate themselves. I would say that 6-11 is probably the best age for this experience. People with toddlers might not feel like they were able to get their moneys worth and probably why there are some negative reviews on here. Also, this is a complex operation to run but I feel like a lot of the complaints in reviews have been largely mitigated. All in all my kids had the time of their lives and there's a parent lounge where you can sit and get some work done or relax while the kids go wild. his place is so cool and extremely educational. I wish this was throughout the US instead of just in Dallas, as we were visiting for a family reunion and won't be back for quite some time. My only caveat would be to allow for wiggle room for age groups because my son is advanced and was turned away from activities that were for 6+ and he's 4 and could very well understand and take instructions the same as a 6 year old could. We enjoyed seeing my 6 year old granddaughter go around to all the different "jobs" her favorite was the dental office. Luckily they had an area for my 19 month old grandson. I liked the fact that we were able to leave and go into the mall for lunch and then return (not sure if we payed extra for that ability). I thought it was cool that once my granddaughter was paid at the different jobs she went into "the bank" and made a deposit and received a debit card. Lots of little lessons. read more

Overpriced capitalist trash. I mean it is a cool concept but piss poor execution. First off, insanely expensive. Six flags is cheaper. Second, your kid is going to wait in line a lot. If your kid gets bored, too bad, you have to wait at least 30-45 minutes for everything. read more

Understaffed (long lines) dirty ( trash, bottles) and not one employee can contact anyone else if there's an issue. You will have to make your way up to the front so that they can send a manager to assist. No internal communication. Two lines buy at location or on line and the online tickets you still have to check in at the kios. The rock wall and the steel structure are not managed correctly making the lines way longer than expected. There's a work to play concept but they scan the wrist band over taking the play money not sure what that's about. read more

Glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews. I can't imagine what these people are thinking. We arrived at noon on Sunday and didn't face lines or wait time. I'll admit we were confused as to what to do but I asked a person in the sports med clinic and she had me scan a QR code. We were off to lots of fun! This place is amazing with so many choices for interests and ages. We did logo making, modeling, tv studio, hair dressing and bicycle repair. Each event was well run and offered a grand finale to show off skills. Honestly all I can think is the people whining are rich spoiled brats. Kidzania was enjoyed by my kids, they only had a couple negative responses. Their POV: One is they wish kids could be removed if they are interfering with everyone else having fun and learning. They said like classroom warnings. You're asked, then told and then removed. My POV: There were just a couple of terribly behaved children who took away from the groups experience. Paying $300 to have fun then the fun is ruined by some horribly behaved child is not fun. Maybe some basic behavior rules. Their POV: Two some of the timing for activities were a little longer and then some of them you didn't need to wait as long but no one was there. My POV: Team members were all having to switch since there were not enough to cover all the areas. Which is understandable when you have a place that big, you should overstaff for holiday breaks. When there is a holiday or kids are out of school the hours should differ to provide the opportunity to experience more in one day. As far as operations, whoever was in charge of vendor relations needs way more experience in handling inventory calculations for food and beverage for dates where kids our out of school and potentially more customers will be visiting! My daughter having a food allergy already makes going to places that don't allow food very tough however majority of these places understand a child's dietary needs and allow us to bring her own food. I feel as though this facility is not friendly to those children who do have any type of dietary sensitivities. Pie five was out of drinks and a safe pizza for her to eat. The bakery ran out of water bottles and had no carbonation in the fountain drinks purchased. They had no hot drinks. Nothing was set up or prepared for opening time. KidZania USA was such a fun experience. I came for a friend's child birthday party. I was amazed at this place. KidZania is little city where kids can select a profession. They have banks, fitness studios, hair salons, and so much more. They even have a plane for the kids to go in. Honestly, I wish I was a kid to do all the cool things at this place. Fair warning this place is loud with the fire truck and ambulance rides. It was the coolest thing to see the kids spray water on a burning building. It really was a huge show that was fun to watch. I will say this is definitely an entertaining place to go if you want an option outside of amusement parks for kids. read more

A 1 star because I can't pick zero. We purchased tickets prior to arriving at Kidzania for my oldest boy's birthday and upon arrival signed up for the 12:30pm pizza making activity, one activity that you have to sign up for in advance. We arrived inside the complex at 11:58am and proceeded to the bank to deposit the money for all 3 kids. It was approximately 12:15pm when we finished at the bank and then proceeded to the pizza making station. Each activity takes approximately 15mins to complete and we didn't want to miss our time slot. We stood outside and waited until 12:45 before I asked a worker why the activity had not begun yet. They responded that the pizza machine was being repaired and the activity would start soon. Fast forward to 1:30pm, I asked the same question with the same response. I then asked if I could reschedule for a later time so we could go do other activities in the meantime, which she said yes. After that took my daughter to one activity (1:47pm) and then my oldest son to walk to go do some of the things he wanted to do. To our surprise, every activity that he was looking forward to doing was closed; rock climbing, flight simulator, and the course you need a harness on. He was extremely disappointed and was ready to leave. We also could not find any of the activities open that my youngest son wanted to participate. When my daughter's activity was over at 2pm, we proceeded to the exit and asked for a refund. I told him all of the above and explained a non-refund policy, offered a different day for tickets, and stated "you should have come on Saturday when we have more staff. Most of our employees are high school students who are only available on the weekend or school breaks." This is not expressed in their policy or prior to ticket purchase that anything during the week will be massively understaffed. I explained that we live over 4 hours away and this was a special birthday trip. Having to come back on a different day would include extra added costs of hotels rooms, gas, etc. I then proceeded to issue a chargeback on my credit card. This is the first time I have ever issued a dispute in the 16 years of being with the credit card company. Kidzania issued a statement that said all activities were available during the entirety of the day, they mentioned nothing of understaffing or pizza maker repairs and did not document it either. Then only thing they supplied was our time in/time out and the one activity that my daughter did while we discovered that the majority of the activities were closed. Because my daughter participated in the one activity they stated that "This confirms that services were accessible and used during the visit. The group otherwise chose not to participate in additional activities that were inside the facility." And with that the dispute was denied. WE WILL NOT BE BACK AND I URGE ANYONE READING THIS TO AVOID THIS SCAM OF A PLACE. read more
