Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I began my solar journey in July 2025 this year after the change in deadline for the Tax Credits…read more I was not looking to put solar on, but my hand was forced. After reviewing multiple solar offers, I landed on Infinity Solar. They were not the least expensive, but the quality of the sales experience gave me the confidence that they were the installer to choose. Sales I walked into my solar journey knowing exactly what I wanted: Enphase ecosystem with REC panels, micro inverters, 6C combiner and 10C batteries. Walter did a great job of answering my questions, putting together a proposal and being patient while I made my decision. The proposal was detailed and concise with all the information I needed. Design Once the decision was made in early August, a final design was made. Tim and his crew came out and we discussed options for panel setup, battery placement and connections to the combiner and the new main panel. A detailed design plan was created and sent for my approval. After a couple of changes, we were ready for City Permitting in early September. This is where things are out of everyone's hands, so please be warned that permitting can take a lot of time, in my case, 2 months. The team kept on top of project and delt with any questions from the city. Install In mid November (that's 2 months for people keeping track at home), install began. The team arrived on time that morning and began work. I walked through with the team the placement of all the equipment, the conduit runs in the attic and other miscellaneous items. All the guys were professional, courteous and efficient. The solar and battery equipment was all installed in one day. The following week, technicians came out and performed my main panel upgrade. The job they did was excellent. All the wiring in the panel was clean and neat. The stucco repair was great; paint matching where you can't tell the difference. The City came out and performed their inspection and passed it as a final. The inspected noted how clean the install was. Commissioning and PTO The Meter Collar and PTO was applied for, and Edison came out withing the week (surprise) to install the collar. Went smooth and the Edison tech was also commenting on how well the team prepared the site. In the last couple of days, an Infinity Tech came out and commissioned the system. After a few hiccups, we got it all going. Final remarks One thing that I would say in the slight negative is the design process. Any changes, whether they be mistakes or owner changes, took a long time, adding delay to get to permitting. Now his might be related to the rush of solar installs before the end of 2025, but it was something that added to the anxiety of getting the job done. Now that all being said, I want to thank everyone at Infinity Solar for all their efforts in getting my system installed before the end of the year. SunPower is Top Tier in performance. I've had my experience with a previous dealer than went out of business, but we won't get into those details. Synrg Solar / Sean Demarinis you are dealing with Sunpower. Synrg/Sean Demarinis is to the point and will get your Solar System spec'd out to your needs. Installation will be completed by Sunpower Employees not a sub-contractor. Throughout this process Synrg Solar / Sean will keep you updated on your progress in regards to updates on parts and city permits. We met Sean in Oct/Nov 2022. After many discussions and price comparisons, nobody came close to Synrg Solar/Sean pricing. We signed the documents and were set to go forward. Installation took 1 day for 15 panels. Sunpower crew started 7am and completed by sunset. My system is a little different than others. This is an additional solar system (2 Solar Systems) on my residence with 2 Tesla Batteries. Cash purchase which will give you the cheapest price quote. There were some little issues in regards to monitoring due to the 2 seperate solar systems, but was all rectified. You can always go directly to Sunpower by calling the 1-800 numbers, but I cannot guarantee you'll get personalized service updates of your project as I did with Synrg Solar/ Sean. I wanted this system in-place up and running before NEM 3.0 took effect and also take advantage of the Federal tax credit of 30% . I give Synrg Solar 5 stars for the service that was provided. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

Like many customers, I wanted to take advantage of the 30% Federal Residential Clean Energy Credit…read morebefore it expired at the end of 2025. Sunergy was doing its best to meet the large number of orders for solar systems, but it became clear that their resources were strained. Compounding that issue, Sunergy reported delays in receiving panels and micro-inverters from their suppliers, all which delayed the date of installation. Communications with some of the project managers was frustrating, but I eventually was assigned a knowledgable and responsive PM. I'll give them a pass on all of these issues, chalking it up as a one-time event, and instead focus on the end product. Despite the supply issues, I eventually received delivery of the REC solar panels and Enphase microinverters specified in the contract. The contract installers were courteous, worked efficiently, cleaned up the site at the end of the installation, and did a professional job. The city inspector granted a Permission-to-Operate without issues. I really like the Enphase monitoring app which is well designed and shows summary and real-time status of the system. I wish the process had gone more smoothly, but I am pleased with the system.

Over the past several months, I have made numerous attempts to work directly with Sunergy to reach a reasonable resolution. Unfortunately, communication has been inconsistent, and many of my emails and requests for updates have gone unanswered. The project has involved repeated delays, design revisions after installation, missed commitments, and multiple return visits to my property. As a result, my roof has sustained damage that is still being addressed, and my solar panels are currently sitting off the roof while the project remains incomplete. I have attempted to speak with company leadership, including requesting communication with the owner, Chris Hammerstone, but have been unable to do so. My experience with management has been extremely disappointing. At this point, I have exhausted every reasonable effort to resolve this matter directly. I am now exploring additional avenues to bring attention to this situation, including consumer advocacy and local media outlets. In fact, Solar Optimum identified the problem before we even realized something was wrong. They worked directly with the manufacturer to secure a replacement inverter at no cost and handled the installation quickly and professionally. When it came time to replace our roof, we didn't hesitate to reach out to Solar Optimum again. Per phone call with Eddie Rodriguez, it was…read moremade clear that I wanted to have it installed by end of year in order to qualify for the tax credit before it expired. A lot of time passed by without hearing back. Then I was told the solar panels that I had agreed to are no longer available. They replaced them with cheaper options. Later on, they said the replacements were no longer available and switched them again to a cheaper option. I received an email on 10/28/25 saying the solar panels are ready for installation. Then I didn't receive an update until 12/10/25 asking for information that I had already confirmed via phone call, the clearance from solar panels as well as the panels being permitted. Then I received an email on 12/23/25 asking for this confirmation again. I sent a follow up, and did not hear back from Eddie until 12/27/25. He gave me a call and told me that Solar Optimum is unable to complete the installation by the end of the year, making me ineligible for the tax credit. He suggested claiming the system was installed/invoiced in my taxes, which is tax fraud as the tax credit makes it explicitly clear that it needs to be installed and powered by 12/31/25. On Dec 30th, he said he would update me within 2 weeks. 2 weeks elapsed and no update was given. At the end of my experience with Solar Optimum, I was took a loan that was no longer needed which ran my credit which has negative implications for my credit score. I also missed out on thousands in tax credit as well as future long term savings. There was misrepresentation regarding what the company had to offer and so far the company has not offered any option to rectify the situation. Will never do business with this company and strongly advise against using their services. The only option remaining is if they are able to discount the panels by the amount of tax credit I have missed out on, which will be my desired resolution requested.
