Customer Service for takeout is literally the WORST! The first few times I ordered food I'd show up and have to wait at least 15-20 minutes extra for my order to be ready and the staff at the front desk isn't exactly a shining example of good customer service. Sometimes my order has been wrong, sometimes it's right, it's kind of a gamble when you order here. Should've learned my lesson, but I liked that they used healthier ingredients and the salads, so it was just one of those things I put up with knowing just to pick the food up later and check it before I drive away. Just two days ago I ordered a salad with extra grilled chicken and was told it's a extra $3.00 to add extra chicken, I said that was fine. When I opened the takeout box there was no extra chicken even though I was charged for it. When I called the girl on the phone switched her story saying it's $3.00 for grilled chicken (which isn't true it's actually a $1.00 for grilled) and that I never ordered extra ,was really rude about it then put me on hold. Finally I spoke with the manager over the phone about how bad my service has been, not just this time but quite a few times, she offered me $2.00 back and seemed to have cared less that the hostess/s have repeatedly been rude, gotten multiple orders wrong and the long wait time. I think she missed my point , I don't care about the money I just wanted good customer service. I will no longer be ordering from here or recommending this restaurant. Nice restaurant with a variety of Asian Fusion items to choose from. The restaurant is clean, relatively inexpensive, and the service is always friendly. This is a popular place for lunch and dinner. While I personally like going to restaurants that specialize in one kind of Asian food (more authentic), I do like going to Goji Kitchen. read more

The pot stickers cannot be beat. They are meaty and freshly made. You get 6 of the best pot stickers that you can get. The Wor Wonton soup has a lot of beef, pork, chicken and prawns in it. Delicious. I also love the combination Chow Mein with Prawns, Chicken and BBQ Pork. A perfect meal. I have always had a great meal there. They do quite a take out business. Very organized. We went here for lunch recently and the Pho was probably the best in Santa Rosa. Service was very good and the staff friendly. Good value for the money. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about their menu and was quite willing to explain in detail any of their items. The menu is quite broad, but since the Pho here was highly rated by others, we thought we'd give it a try. I ordered the Seafood Pho and Mary ordered the Beef Pho. Both were served within a decent time from ordering. Both soups were flavorful and delicious. The restaurant is located in small shopping center and has a few outdoor tables in a few fenced off parking places out in front. Outdoor dining here did not appear that attractive. Their dining room is nicely decorated and clean. I was pondering whether to give them 4 or 5 stars, but settled on 4 as the food is exceptionally good and we will return, but I'm not sure we'll lust after the food if we don't come back right away. I went with my friends to Goji Kitchen because we were craving Asian food, and unfortunately it did not meet my satisfaction. This restaurant is definitely an Asian Fusion restaurant where it incorporates a lot of healthier options into classic Asian dishes. I ordered a Rice Vermicelli "Bun", which consisted with a lot of fresh herbs and some roasted almonds instead of roasted peanuts. The vermicelli was too slightly too thick and the herbs were too overpowering for the dish. The roasted almonds did not compliment the dish as well as roasted peanuts would so I was not happy about the food. The price was more expensive for Asian food than it usually is and it is not worth it for mediocre Asian Fusion. read more

Went here for a Thursday lunch with coworkers, arriving a little after 11:00AM. Place was empty. We had at least 3 different people waiting on us. One was beyond rude--the others were okay. Case in point: After I had finished my salad and my coworker had finished her soup, the waiter proceeded to take away my plate, then reached for her empty soup plate and put it right in front of me (Huh?). I passed it off as forgetfulness--although, that's kind of hard to believe, considering that we were the only group in the restaurant. When the dishes came out, the waiter gave me the wrong plate (cashew chicken instead of the vermicelli noodles). No biggie, simple mistake. My vermicelli, chicken, imperial roll, and prawns tasted great. The part of the lunch that left a bad taste on everything was at the end, when we asked to have our orders boxed up. The same waiter (who blatantly shifted the empty soup bowl in front of me) handed us the bagged up take-out boxes, while muttering "cashew chicken" (my coworker's order) as he handed me my bag. Thinking that he might have handed me the wrong bag, I asked to confirm, "Excuse me, is this the cashew chicken?" At which point, he turns around, lifts his hand, points his finger at me (and I swear his eyes were bulging out), and SHOUTS: "I said....THAT BOX! THAT ONE!", jabbing his finger emphatically at my coworker's bag. We left a tip for the other two nice servers, but that single waiter's rudeness and lack of professionalism were enough to spoil what was otherwise a good lunch. My first time , I was super excited, ready to be blown away by this amazing hidden gem. Sadly expectations were broadsided by reality. Right after we sat down (910pm) another couple were turned away (kitchen was closed) guiltily we sat there having not ordered anything. I know, I know entering a place of business close to closing time is asking for it, but in our defense we repeatedly asked it they were close to closing and if so we would have gladly left and returned another time. OK, OK I'll stop . - pot stickers: OK filling/ won ton dumpling however was way too thick and gave them a chewy texture 2/5 stars -won ton soup: bland/blah not awful but not good 2/5 stars -chicken and pork spring rolls: decent, but not great, the shrimp are cut longitudinally so although there were 3 shrimp visible through the wrapper only 1 1/2 shrimp were actually there. Basil chicken: very, very good slightly spicy 5/5 stars Frank: our server, when you baled on us 1/3 into service you lost me. You sitting four tables down eating your dinner meanwhile that poor couple that was turned away right before we sat down added a guilty feeling to the whole evening. Wow what a goldmine! Gogi kitchen is a little Asian fusion restaurant that offers a vast amount of dishes for everyone, VEGANS INCLUDED. Make sure to clarify with your server about the dish you are ordering if you wish to eat vegan. I always do because the menu has so many options the font is very small, it can be hard to read and a description about the food is not always provided. For vegans and non-vegans I recommend eating the "Vegan Pho," "Vegan Curry," and "Vegan Spring Rolls." read more

My mom and I were looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant in Santa Rosa and came across this restaurant. I noticed that it gets packed fair quickly, but they also have the option to enjoy your meal outside. I felt this place was pricey ... maybe I'm just new to the area but 10 bucks for a bowl of pho ?? The pho wasn't the authentic taste that I was craving. The egg rolls not the greatest either. We didn't get to try the Chinese food so no comment there. What I thought was a little unique is that they serve free edamame as an appetizer and they give you sliced oranges and fortune cookies for dessert. All the guy waiters were super nice and constantly asking if everything was ok, however maybe it was just that day but the females waiters were not friendly at all. Side note none of the waiters speak Vietnamese which I'm also not accustomed to when going to a Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. It seems the place is trying really hard to be local and socially conscious. It's a nice restaurant with a great menu. I vacillated over the medium rare steak beef pho or the spicy lemongrass beef with vermicelli. I got the spicy lemongrass beef with vermicelli and it was really good. The broth very refreshing, yet spicy--and the beef was thinly sliced. The noodles were different from what I was expecting, this looked more like a round rice spaghetti, but it was really good and I loved it! I wasn't able to finish my large bowl because we had started with an order of potstickers but if I hadn't already imbibed on that, I definitely would have finished the noodles. Good drink menu also. Service was okay. We were there during the lunch rush and the waitstaff seemed a bit frazzled. The food arrived very quickly. read more

We have been going to this restaurant for about 6 months. I have to say that it may very well be one of Santa Rosa's best kept secrets. The food is phenomenol and the service is second to none. I love walking into a business and having the staff remember me. I love receiving consistently great food with consistently great service and this place gives me that. If you go (and why wouldn't you?) you need to order the goat cheese spring rolls. They may sound simple but they are divine. The spinach salad is incredible. It is my top rated salad outside of an incredible seared ahi salad I had in Monterey a few years back. The Chicken with Kombucha Squash is so yummy. The brown rice has wild rice mixed in and is a perfect compliment to all the dishes so skip the white. If you like spicy then be sure to ask for the HOUSE hot pepper sauce. It is not your run of the mill vietnamese pepper sauce. It is fresh and flavorful and delicious. Considering the quality of the ingredients and service this place is well priced. Our family and friends have been going here since they opened. The food is always perfect, the staff always kind and helpful. They use organic meat for their soups and other dishes. We often order something prepared a special way and they always make it perfect. We have had family gatherings here and always so happy with everything. Once in a while when not feeling well we might need chicken noodle soup. They have all white meat organic chicken noodle soup (Asian style but oh so delicious and just what the doctor ordered). We've had pretty much everything on the menu at one time or another. The food and service have always been consistent and we have been at least 30 times. The food is always fresh and delicious. There are lovely paintings of Vietnamese Women on the walls as well as other beautiful art and a tasteful fountain up front. Update: they can make many gluten free dishes and very well I might add. Gluten free and vegan. So delicious. Something for everyone. My personal fav is the salt and pepper tofu. We LOVE this place. read more

I discovered this place while searching for vegetarian Pho. It seems most Vietnamese restaurants in Sonoma County think having chicken or fish stock is vegetarian. What a relief it was to find Goji and right next to SRJC so I could pop over for lunch whenever I want. They use mushroom stock in their vegetarian Pho and it is delicious. My absolute favorite dish is the green papaya salad with tofu. It is my go-to dish. Goji also has some special way of cooking their tofu, it has fantastic flavor and texture. The salt and pepper tofu is another favorite of mine. Whenever my family is is town, this is where they want to eat, every time. read more

My husband and I are from Portland, Oregon and after reading the Yelp reviews decided to try the Goji Kitchen. It is located in a little mall and looked cute. We ordered pot stickers, spring rolls and the Imperial rolls. We thought we should try a little of everything since we might not be eating here again. My husband ordered clay pot cat fish and I ordered the spicy lemon grass chicken. Perhaps it's because Portland, Oregon is such a foody place and, therefore, has so many fabulous restaurants, but the food was a great disappointment. The spring rolls were tasteless, the Imperial rolls very bland the pot stickers were okay but also quite bland. The cat fish had been fried but then put into a sweet sauce which cased the coating to become really soggy. My chicken was, to me, inedible, since it tasted of nothing. The service was really spotty. I had to keep asking our server to come over since all four servers seemed to be having quite the time chatting with each other by the cash register. Very disappointing, we will not be coming back to this restaurant again. read more

Just tried goji kitchen for the first time tonight! Giving a 4 only because the service was a 2.. But the food was so good I had to give more than a 3. We ordered WAY too much food. It all looked way too good. We had the spicy lemongrass pho ( amazing) the goat cheese spring rolls.. So delicious and tasty with real, organic foods that was so great. Then some chicken chow mein and broccoli beef for my man and little man. They loved it all. My pho was amazing. And I can't wait to eat it for lunch tomorrow. Oh! And the pot stickers!! Yum! OK, first the good. The place looks great. Very classy and a good atmosphere. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. They messed up our order and were very quick about fixing it. Now the bad. While the food was good, it was pricy and the portion size was small. So in the end it wasn't worth it. The mistake in our order was easily avoidable as we were very clear in what we wanted, but he simply forgot to write it down. Finally, their menu says that they don't use MSG, but my wife and I both got sick later as if we had eaten MSG. Not sure if it was MSG or just oily food, but we will not be going back. read more

My new fave! A friend turned me on to this place, and wow was he right. I could feel the energy the first time I walked in the place. It obviously has a strong local clientele and is always busy. I went thinking Chinese but have been back for the Vietnamese. The appetizer section has some really delicious surprises. Although I do t personally care for the signature goat cheese fresh rolls, I love the grilled chicken ones. The prawn cakes are unique and tasty. I consider myself a pretty serious "Bun" aficionado, and their's is one of the best I have had. The grilled pork on top is amazing. I also like the fried rice, great ingredients. Tried this place on a whim after a record hunt. Located in a little shopping center off Mendicino ave. in Santa Rosa, this place is a great place to get a light, tasty meal. Starting with a couple things I liked. The atmosphere is lovely. Relaxed, walls lined with paintings, and a waterfall in the lobby. Pretty nice. The waitresses are friendly and will suggest something off the menu if you don't know what you are feeling like. The menu is long and varied. They have many different options with beef, chicken, seafood, and rice pots. The food was fantastic. Very fresh, they boast that they have no MSG in their food, and they have free range chicken options. I ordered a vegetable chow fun, and my friend ordered beef pho. Both were good, the addition of plum sauce and siracha on the table made the food delicious. With the pho, they bring out a plate of crisp water sprouts (I'm not quite sure what they are called) displayed nicely with some peppers and mint. I'm hoping to come back to try their lunch special. My only complaint is that since we were put in the corner table, I felt like we were annoyed at times. I was waiting a while before my water got refilled. Granted the place was busy, their dinner hour just starting on a friday night. Sad to give this review as I have been a faithful patron of Goji since it opened. My better half and I decided to drop in on our lunch break a few weeks ago. Not a busy day as we expected so we were pleased to be seated immediately. Our server was scattered and unable to get past taking our order after a ten minute wait. Then the food took no less than 45 minutes. Fried rice and chicken in garlic sauce. Not the most complex dishes. Our server kept telling us what an awful day she was having while three other staff stood around looking for something to do. The only activity was our server repeatedly bringing other patrons the wrong dishes and then trying to pawn them off on other customers. Weird. To top it off, I asked our lovely server about the spice heat of the meal I was considering. I was promised it had little to no heat. When it finally arrived, I could barely eat it as red pepper flakes coated the chicken. I rarely write restaurants off but after this absolute failure, Goji is off my list. read more

4 words: Prawn Stuffed Chicken Wings. All the food here is excellent but the prawn stuffed chicken wings are to die for. So unique and unbelievably delicious. I am also a huge fan of the Orange Chicken, with fresh orange peels. I have enjoyed the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Mongolian Beef. Honestly I am sure everything is great! Goji has the tastiest and most nourishing pho! Other favorites of mine are the crispy golden tofu and the fresh rolls with goat cheese. They have created a very inviting space with a strong Asian aesthetic (water features, beautiful artwork, and high quality dining furniture). It's a great place for groups, birthday parties or even just a couple going out for a dinner date. My wife and I came here on a Tuesday right at noon and had a horrible customer service experience. The place was full which was a good sign and were seated in 10 minutes, not a problem. We didn't get menus until 15 minutes later and that was only after flagging down one of the three waitstaff and asking for menus. We were ignored for another ten minutes and placed our orders only after flagging down a different waiter. My wife ordered the vegan pho and I ordered the medium rare and brisket pho. 25 minutes later my wife's food arrived and mine five minutes later both without the accompanying dish of fresh sprouts, basil, etc. we again had to flag someone down just to get those. Our food was just ok. This wouldn't be so bad if we didn't witness several parties that were seated after us ordering, eating and paying their checks before we even got to add the sprouts to our soup. The table next to us had their sprouts before us and they didn't even have their pho yet. The thing about us that was different from the the patrons that were seated after us is we are Asian and they all appeared Caucasian. Take that for what it's worth. The wait staff was rude, unapologetic, and had no customer service skills what so ever. We will never go back. read more

Used to love this place; last time we went the veggies were over cooked and flavor was not as good--very disappointed. I think they just raised their prices, as a result we haven't gone as often as we used to...they used to be our favorite local restaurant. -great goat cheese spring rolls and sauces -organic tofu and veggies -not very accommodating when it comes to gluten free option. ****miss the black tofu they no longer serve because of vendor not offering it anymore. I think there are certain dishes here that are decent, but also a large number of dishes that were a huge let down. The lettuce wraps are good, but that's all that I like here. I had their chow fun one time because a few of my friends like it here, but it was extremely dry and had very little flavor to the dish. The portion was huge and had a ton of noodles, but very little veggies and meat to go with it. I didn't even finish it. I also tried their spring rolls and I feel like there was very little filling in the rolls. There was much more lettuce in comparison with the vermicelli and shrimp. read more

First off, I'll just get this out of the way: when we went for lunch the other day, we went partly because other reviews had indicated that this place serves sushi as well as other Asian-style cuisines. I don't know if it was just that day, or if it's dinner only, but there was no sushi or anything resembling Japanese food on the menu. This is okay, as we love other Asian food, so we had no problem picking out a Vietnamese "bun" dish, and yellow chicken curry. Appetizer offerings looked varied and really delicious, so we'll have to be back to try them. Vietnamese "bun" was a solid offering, similar to others I've had before, with pretty tasty Imperial rolls and good chicken/shrimp (not overcooked, yay!). The yellow curry was very sweet, so for those of you who don't like sweet curry, I'd beware. We loved it, however. Decor was interesting and not the same sort of stuff you see in every other Chinese restaurant in town. Service was a little slow, but it was kind of busy. Overall, nice to dine here. read more

Just visited Goji Kitchen all the way from Napa with both my sisters and father. The service was amazing! The food was scrumptiously delicious. Tasted very clean and lean. I indulged with a fortune cookie prior to our appetizers with some OooooloonnnnG tea ( Oolong Tea) my fortune read; "you will son witness a miracle" we were def the loudest table there the entire staff was Amazing and did not seemed bothered at all. We had S5,S11 and S14 from the appetizer menu Bon appétit! Followed by Beef Pho, Veggie Pho & Prawn Pho! I say Pho 24 Seven! Followed by my After Fortune cookie with more tea which read; You will be Fortunate in Everything you put your hands on". The most sweetest, beautiful big smile cutie who looked at my fortunes, OMG I am in love you know who you are :) right about now I regret not asking for her contact info. :(. On another note the owner was very attentive and brought my father multiple got sauces to try. We definitely recommend this GK if you love cleaner tasty healthy food. Arriba Goji Kitchen! Best Chinese food I've had in this area to date. The sweet and sour chicken might have been the best I've ever had. I'm from the Boston area, and 9 times out of 10, if you order this particular dish there, all you'll get is 3-5 chicken fingers and a neon red sauce that tastes of nothing but maraschino cherries on the side. At Goji, the chicken was perfectly cooked and with only enough batter to add some crispness to the meat - exactly the way it should be. Plenty of green and red peppers, onions and fresh pineapple to complement the chicken. Absolutely delicious. The grilled beef spring rolls were a treat as well. The vegetables were very fresh, the beef was grilled perfectly, and the rolls were prepared in the Vietnamese style, meaning they weren't deep fried. They couldn't have been better, and I'll definitely be ordering them again when I return. Decor was nice inside, with a large zen fountain greeting you as you step through the door. The wait staff was pleasant and eager to serve. There's a large patio area directly in front of the restaurant, and I'm looking forward to see if they set out tables in the warmer months. Looking forward to going back soon and trying some of the more traditional Vietnamese dishes. I can't recommend Goji Kitchen enough. read more

Open on Christmas! This place rocks! The owner and the service couldn't be nicer, and the food was surprisingly good. I mean, I didn't expect much for Asian food in Santa Rosa. It's nice that they have organic free range items too. The egg rolls - delicious. The prawn stuffed free range chicken wings - so good we had a second order. The pho noodle soups were tasty and came with the regular fixings. The taro and pumpkin desserts were a fantastic ending. Our party really like the beautiful painting on the walls too. Funnily, there was no dish with goji in it. The owner did say something's in the works for the future menu. read more
