My door knob broke and wouldn't open.. I was unable to take it apart and get it out so I called GoKey Locksmiths! The were prompt in answering the phone and sending a locksmith out! Afterwards they had my car unlocked in less than 5 min and the price was very fair and pretty much what I expected for a car lockout such as mine. Matt and his team did an amazing amount of work to install our gate lock in May but by September the lock fell apart. It was eventually replaced but the new lock didn't work properly. Matt never responded when I reached out about that. After doing a fix myself that lasted a few months the lock now doesn't work at all. Matt is the absolute man! My buddy broke the key to his apartment door, well technically he broke BOTH keys to the door. We jumped on yelp and went to 2 different lock smith locations that were closer to our address. The first was closed and the second had been shut down. We then found Matt who was a slightly further drive from our location and we called him. Instantly he was attentive to what we were trying to fix and our situation. He asked us to send a picture of the broken key to him to make sure he can fix it and make a new copy. We did, and within moments he told us he believes he could do it. He asked us when we needed it done, we said asap! Matt sent us an address because we were already on the rode, and we went there. We met up with Matt who came out and greeted us like we were long time friends. He took the key and quickly worked while making small talk with us. He finished the first key and compared it to the broken one, looked like exact copies. He then offered to make us a second key for free! We thanked him and told him we'd shoot him a message when we got home to inform him whether or not it worked. He said if for some reason it didn't, he would drive to us to fix it! This is a good company. In hiring GoKey, I was looking for knowledge, communication, and a reasonable cost (in that order). They more than exceeded my expectations. The job I hired them for got much larger in scale than the description I initially provided them. I told the guy 8-13 locks for rekey and it ended up being over 20, with several masterlock cut-offs, locking picking, etc. It was truly a test of a locksmith's skill. The gentleman that came out (Joe) was more than qualified to complete the work I needed. He even provided details about his process while completing the more involved tasks. The bill was reasonable given the extensive work, but it is the quality of the work that is well beyond standard. I called these guys because of the 5 star rating. My boyfriend lost our 2017 Nissan key, so I needed a key right away since I drive it for my children. {He's lost at least 4 keys on 3 different cars, Ive dealt with many locksmiths} I called and Matt answered and said he'll do it and make a key, waited for Nissan for a key code..?? he cut the key and went to the location, he tried programing it, which the door opened and everything else came on except the car. I thought it was the "I pay alarm" that was installed by the finance company and he assumed it was the alarm as well,because of that it couldn't start the car. Being a Sunday the place was closed and I offered twice to pay him half and return the next day to finish the job,(at least leave with something) since I can get more info on the alarm. WRONG the next day I called the alarm installer/company and the technician said it had nothing to do with the alarm system, but the key itself didn't work) He still refused and wanted to finish the job. As I waited patiently and was nothing but nice the whole night, Maybe 40 minutes more of continuing to try, he got help from the other guys. And they told him to "walk away, drop everything!!" Which I really wanted to believe in him and START MY CAR! That key being lost was nothing compared to the bad day I had, on top of that he was really frustrated and splurging out random frustrated thoughts. Then he told me he doesn't usually answer his phone on Sundays which was making me feel bad even worse. I wish they done their research better on my car I mean thinking their the locksmiths they would know what to do. If you have a newer car make sure they know the research. I had to call someone else much cheaper to get the job done. They knew my car needed an original key and any other one made wouldn't start it. Matt still wanted to get paid the same amount he was charging which was $175, for a key that opens my door and start my lights! I was not happy and actually was disappointed. Since they had a five star rating its not all what it seems it was my mistake for calling them and losing money. I hope these guys don't do it to other people but I felt like I got ripped, I could of used that money for gas, or and extra key that actually worked!! read more
