Came here two days in a row and each experience has been very pleasant and enjoyable! Service was friendly and kind. My husband got white chocolate mocha two days in a row and really loved it! I tried their caramel macchiato which was on the sweeter side. I personally don't like too sweet of a drink so it just might be my personal preference. They have this amazing painting with part of its is 3rd of a train track. Super cute little cafe spot with just a welcoming feel! We decided to share their breakfast sausage burrito. Instantly regret that we decided to share cause it was so good! Super flavorful, crispy on the outside yet the filling on the inside was not dried out at all! The breakfast food that we had was "pretty good" but I expected much better because of the YELP reviews. The main issue was with the service. The hostess told us it would be a 20-minute wait but they were out of buzzers so I would just need to check back in. I went and played a little blackjack and came back at the appointed time. She said to come back in another 15-20 minutes. I did. There were still multiple people in front of us. When people started complaining, she promised to seat them next so I spoke up to get into the mix. After all was said and done, it was almost an hour waiting. If they had been more realistic in the estimate, we would have probably gone elsewhere. Like I said, the food was decent and our waitress was good. It was just the whole ordeal of sitting around with a bunch of complaining customers waiting to be seated. We came by on Valentine's Day and it was pretty busy so we came back for my birthday, thinking things might be better. Lesson learned. read more

This is a cute little coffee shop/café in the downtown of cripple Creek, Colorado. The friendly staff and cozy interior make this a welcoming place to stop by for a coffee or a snack or even a meal. The decor is historically oriented with pictures of the mining town in its heyday pay. There is only seating for about 25. There are a lot of different coffees and a rewards program. I decided to try the chicken pesto Panini on the recommendation of the friendly young woman taking orders at the counter. I also ordered a large iced tea which was fresh brewed and nice and strong. The place seem popular with locals and tourists alike. When my food came out, the Panini was beautiful and included a little side salad with a delicious dressing. ThePanini, while not huge, was very filling! It also combined flavors beautifully. Their case of pastries and cookies and other sweets looked so good, but I was too full to have dessert. read more

My wife and I shared the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito, Maple Pecan Danish, Apple Crown Danish, White Hot Chocolate, and Chai Tea Latte. All of it was impressive and I'd have it all again. My favorite item was the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito because it was saucy and both crunchy and soft. Between the pastries I think I preferred the Maple Pecan Danish. I found this great little place on YELP! We were getting ready to head out of town and stopped in for a quick bite and a coffee. The ladies running the place were super friendly, and the shop was cozy. The decor was great; it was historical-themed and had lots of mining influence. I ordered a breve latte as I always do and a breakfast burrito to go. My wife, a standard latte and a breakfast bagel sandwich. Within minutes we had our order and were off on our adventure. The coffee drinks were out of this world, so good and much better than I expected to get in a small town shop. The food items were also great. Definitely my go-to for breakfast on the go in Cripple Creek. I also learned that the root beer float was invented in Cripple Creek and was originally named "Black Cow Mountain" thanks to some cool stuff they had in the shop. read more

Stayed in one of the casinos for the long holiday weekend. Best breakfast spot in Cripple Creek. Found this place on the first day and we came back two more times after that. Perfect for the early morning risers as the open up at 6:00am most days. The workers are very friendly and quick. It is slow moving in the town but this cafe is popping. So many people come here to grab coffee and a quick bite. They have a few seats outside and a handle full of seating inside as well. Since we came a few times, we did both. Inside they have a large place which I am sure is lovely in the colder months. Lots of flyers in the cafe giving ideas about what to do in the area. Very happy with our experience! Went in early 630am and ordered 1 breakfast burrito standard, 1 breakfast burrito chorizo and 2 coffees The breakfast burritos were both ample in size and tasty, and the addition of sour cream and salsa on the side must have added a nice kick of flavor. The coffee being of very good flavor and generous is always a pleasant surprise. Kudos to the gentleman who handled everything--from taking orders to prepping, cooking, and serving. His efficiency and conscientiousness are commendable, especially considering the number of customers. It's impressive how he managed it all. I walked up to the door to verify hours and an employee opened the door and just said "We're closed" and shut it. What a gem. I walked in and was immediately struck by the pleasant atmosphere. The place is super clean, but still has that rustic mining town flair. I was immediately greeted by the young man behind the counter with a smile and a welcoming tone. I didn't have time for food, but I did order a large Iced Huckleberry coffee. We parked around the corner on the side of the street - the sharp incline was manageable for our party ranging in 14- to 65-year-olds walking down and back up. The reviews don't lie! This place in downtown Cripple Creek didn't disappoint. We stopped in for brunch yesterday while in town and were so glad we did. It's such a cute little cafe! Everyone working was friendly and attentive. We ordered a coffee and some lemonade to drink and I ordered a cheese egg and bacon breakfast sandwich(on an English muffin) and hubby ordered the Bacon breakfast burrito. I really wanted to try a mocha or latte as they all sounded delicious, so maybe next time we are in town I will! The breakfast sandwich was delicious!
